I wanted to be in "best reviewers" too at first. I wanted to be popular. But then I made a lot of friends. I joined groups, I talked to people and Goodreads became the best decision I took in months (especially in lockdown here).
I write reviews for the books I read, the books I read because I wanted to. I don't mind that I don't get more than 30-40 likes. I won't mind if I didn't get any likes. I write reviews because I want to express my views about the books. Everyone has a opinion and I want mine to be heard.
I'm happy, just with the friends I made here, and are still making. It's fun actually!
I'm sorry you don't feel the same way. Do whatever you think is best for you. I'm sure there's something for you here too... Take a break if you must, but don't give up. 😊👍

I'm really sorry that you're going through this, mrunal. a hobby should never cause you so much stress and anxiety. when i first joined goodreads, i thought I'd have to review every book i read. but after a short time i realized it's just not for me. reading itself will always be my priority and I personally have neither the motivation nor the time to write many reviews. and that's completely okay!i know it sounds cliché but popularity really isn't important in life. if you write reviews it should be because you like writing them, not because you want to get a certain number of likes. we are constantly surrounded by such a competitive environment that's based on productivity that it can be extremely hard to extract oneself from such a situation. but your mental health is essential. having a reviewing rank is very much not. you must never feel bad about a lack of rank, likes or anything society has conditioned us to desire. i hope you will find your joy in reading again❤️

I totally get what you’re facing, because even a comment on my review/update can get me excited for more recognition. I also refresh goodreads just to see what updates I’ve gotten. I would also read popular books even if I’m not interested, just to feel connected to the community.
That’s why, I really hope that you find your passion in reading again. I know it’s pretty hard to get out of that reading slump, so it’s totally to take a break now and then.

Experienced? Maybe... Professional? NOPE. Actually I've always had this connection with paints and colours... Yk... They kinda give me life.... But my paintings aren't that great. I can't even draw a human figure iny first try.

That's amazing! I like painting but my real love is pencil shading and charcoal art

I've never tried charcoal art.. how is it? My school's art teacher used to tell us that it's similar to pencil shading.
But he wasn't a good teacher. He knew how to paint, but he didn't know how to tell people hot to paint.
You can eliminate the least good ideas or however you say that. And chose the top three/five
