Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10001 comments As the good people at Scribe Publishing have sent me #4 in Aussie author Robert Gott's Holiday Murders series, I thought I'd better get the background by starting with #1, The Holiday Murders.
4.5★s and looking forward to #2

Carolyn | 9882 comments I loved Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune, maybe not quite as much as The House in the Cerulean Sea, but it is has a similar quirky and heartwarming feel, even though it is about death and grief.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10001 comments You don't have to be a baseball fan to enjoy Charlie Fightmaster and the Search for Perfect Harmony by American author, Joe Siple, but I'm sure it would help. Coming-of-age feel-good.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10001 comments Because I have the third book in Elizabeth Strout's Amgash books on NetGalley, I thought I'd better read the first two. It might be because I am now familiar with the characters, but I think I like Anything is Possible even more than My Name is Lucy Barton. Very much looking forward to Oh William! now.

PattyMacDotComma | 3312 comments BOX 88 by Charles Cumming, a former secret service recruit himself, describes the mixed-up world of international intrigue.

We may know who the enemy is, but with so many 'agencies' of spies today, nobody is quite sure who the bad guys are. Great read!
BOX 88 by Charles Cumming 4.5★ Link to my review of Box 88

PattyMacDotComma | 3312 comments Keep the dream alive! This little book is a great introduction to Martin Luther King Jr.. It's part of an excellent series to inspire little kids (and their parents!).

Author Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara has produced an amazing library of these.
Martin Luther King Jr. by Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara 5★ Link to my review of MLK Jr with several illustrations.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 10001 comments How to Examine a Wolverine: More Tales from the Accidental Veterinarian by Canadian vet Philipp Schott I have to admit that the catchy title and the cover picture drew me in, but I certainly wasn’t disappointed. You don’t have to be a pet owner to enjoy this informative, entertaining and frequently laugh-out-loud funny book.
