Geared to writing would be: do some background research (my favorite was on Prohibition for "Rekindling Motives"); tell myself I only have to write 100 words--and then do it; look at my bank account and ask myself if I want it to stay at that level. Usually one of these three will light a fire under my buns.(less)

“An idea is a gift, a finished project is turning that gift into a book by making yourself write even when you don't want to. There is no such thing as a block of time to write. You have to carve time from a busy day. Elaine L. Orr”

“I can't believe Scoobie talked me into a Talk Like a Pirate Day fundraiser for the food pantry. I have a sense of humor. It's just been a crazy year, and I'm up to my eyeballs in work and chairing the Harvest for All Food Pantry Committee at First Prez.”
