PattyMacDotComma | 821 comments I didn't know Daphne du Maurier wrote this kind of entertaining, historical romance. Frenchman's Creek is a light, atmospheric bodice-ripper in which no bodices are seen to be ripped.

Sarah | 395 comments Here's my review of The Whitby Murders, the latest instalment in J.R. Ellis's Yorkshire Mystery series featuring D.C.I. Oldroyd. To my mind, it's not the strongest book in the series to date, but still and enjoyable read.

Love Paula McLain’s historical fiction but for those curious about her first foray into mystery, here are my thoughts.
