I get personal notifications (e.g. if someone likes my status or whatever) but group notifications are a full day behind. It is really frustrating.

Me either. After about 10 days, I got a couple but they were 10 days old!! And then nothing since.

This is the final novel in the series involving George Smiley. It is narrated by Peter Guillam, longtime foot soldier and loyal adjunct. If you've read The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, then this is not one to miss.

Araych | 676 comments The Spies of Warsaw The Spies of Warsaw (Night Soldiers, #10) by Alan Furst by Alan Furst

Another entry in Furst's highly regarded series of spies and espionage just prior to the war (WW II). In this one it's 1937 and 38 and a French Military Attaché in the French embassy in Warsaw is drawn into espionage to help his country because he can see what is to come. This is a very intelligent and subtle novel, well researched and extremely atmospheric. I loved it, highest recommendation, 5 stars.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 440 comments Given up on another two books this weekend The Good Death and The Mothman Prophecies - expected to like the second. Now started Dead Reckoning, enjoyed the first 88 pages, so that's further than I got with the other two (well, I got a bit further with Mothman, but only because Lucy was sat on my knee so I couldn't give up and start something new)

Glad to hear that Nancy. I have noticed that I've got notification e-mails after I've already seen the posts on here this week
