Me either. After about 10 days, I got a couple but they were 10 days old!! And then nothing since.

A fun historical mystery. Here’s a link to my four star review:

I thought so too.

This is the final novel in the series involving George Smiley. It is narrated by Peter Guillam, longtime foot soldier and loyal adjunct. If you've read The Spy Who Came in from the Cold, then this is not one to miss.

Another entry in Furst's highly regarded series of spies and espionage just prior to the war (WW II). In this one it's 1937 and 38 and a French Military Attaché in the French embassy in Warsaw is drawn into espionage to help his country because he can see what is to come. This is a very intelligent and subtle novel, well researched and extremely atmospheric. I loved it, highest recommendation, 5 stars.

Fantastic trilogy, Out on 13th May, but start from the beginning if you haven't read any of the series yet.

Next book in One Fearful Yellow Eye, a Travis McGee mystery by John D. MacDonald

Putin's People: How the KGB Took Back Russia and Then Took On the West by Catherine Belton. If you haven't noticed the news headlines about Russia, this is eye-opening.

Nice follow-up to The Tattoo Thief (but can be read as stand alone).

The Infinite Blacktop by Sara Gran. Gran is writing some of the best and most unique mysteries today. Confessional, gritty and as much about addiction as it is about the case, wonderful. Rating - 5/5

A must read for fans of the series.

In this 10th Mrs. Murphy book, amateur sleuth Mary Minor Haristeen (Harry) and her pets help investigate several murders.
Fun cozy. 3 stars

Very entertaining and intricately plotted mystery of several related murders involving a female police detective and a man of some mystery. Some bits may challenge logic in a small way but overall this is a dynamite story. I really liked it, 4 stars.

Not a crime/thriller, but a foreign drama. Amazing read!
I gave it 4 stars.

It has been more than a dozen years since I last read anything by this author, so I decided to revisit his stuff and see if I want to keep him on my radar screen.

I know I’m in the minority, but I found it unsatisfying. Here’s a link to my three star review:

The Mysterious Affair at Styles by Agatha Christie - Christie's first novel, Hercule Poirot's first appearance...
Rating: 3 stars

and I started reading:

Ripley Under Ground by Patricia Highsmith - book 2 of "The Ripliad" (or, the sequel to The Talented Mr. Ripley if you prefer)

That will be the next one I read by DeMille so I'll be interested to hear your thoughts.

once again, no crime reading but I did finish Black Narcissus by Rumer Godden (1939), then watched the film from 1947 on the Criterion Channel. Now reading The Dangers of Smoking in Bed: Stories by Mariana Enriquez.

I've got that book to read. It keeps calling to me.

Great fun! Here’s a link to my review:

Next on my hit list is The Night Window by Dean Koontz.
Has anyone else read the Jane Hawk series?

Budding doctor Ella Perri is asked by her dying grandfather to go to Italy to investigate something in his past. Lots of secrets to discover.
Southern Italy is a nice setting for the mystery. 3.5 stars

That James Patterson book just has his name on it - it's not really written by him

I get personal notifications (e.g. if someone likes my status or whatever) but group notifications are a full day behind. It is really frustrating.
