I love his writing style also. I tend to go through his works in 2 to three book spurts. That is probably why I have not finished any of his series yet.

Started The Fourth Monkey (4MK Thriller, #1) by J.D. Barker over the weekend. Not strictly horror but it does involve a serial killer. This is so good so far and the characters have a real feel to them. Very much enjoying this book and I'm already going to buy the next one in the series.
I've had this book sitting on my shelves for way too long. Glad I've finally gotten to it!

This is pretty good. A few scenes go on a bit longer than they should but it's well worth reading it all.

I am sitting on the Library waiting list, but right now it says I have a three week wait. I'm really looking forward to getting my zombie loving hands on this book.

I reeeeally enjoyed My Year of Rest and Relaxation, couldn't put it down! I talked to a friend of mine who is a psychiatrist and she told me some of the drugs in that book are completely invented while others exist and it was interesting for her to read about the made up ones :)

Excellent choice of genre and author.

I am currently reading Metro 2035 by Dmitry Glukhovsky. I think 2021 will be a rather lazy reading year, but reading all Metro novels (Glukhovsky decided to turn his post-apocalyptic vision into a shared universe, so there are books by other authors as well) should be a feasible goal. Well, there is also a rather popular series of video games on the novels, so I probably don't need to explain much.

Edit: I'll only try to read the works translated into either English or German, since my Russian language skills won't be sufficient).

Jan | 49 comments The Book With No Name

Half way through and I like it. It includes:

a supernatural detective
a couple of monks
a hit man who looks like Elvis
the Bourbon kid
maybe werewolves and vampires
a magical blue stone
and more

It's wild and crazy and fun.
