I have a question on hiring Lady Ysmay. It says she heals +5 after every round of battle. I take a round to mean hero attacks, then the monster attacks. So what happens after the final hit that kills the monster? Does that count as a 'round', giving you +5 at the end of the battle?

I think she will not heal you after that because you didn't get hurt that round. But I'll see what other players have been doing.

Teresa, I think that Ysmay heals you at the end of the round regardless the monster you' re fighting (whether it's Eisdrake or a goblin). When battling Eisdrake you don't get end of battle bonuses, i.e. orb of water and Rocky healing.

Rebecca, regarding hitting 0, you can heal from that during battle but only when you hit exact 0 ( can't go bellow zero cause it would end the fight).

Shield and gems were such a neat goal in this game. Until we get means to kill higher level zombies + proper motivation to fight them (maybe something to do with the Magik Book) I feel a bit aimless. At least I have tons of unfinished quests to work on till the next big update.

I don't know if this came up but I read a book in December for a challenge where I need a long haired character and then in a challenge this month I needed one and Since I already owned it I used the Same book so since I read it twice can I count it twice or is the only way to get use of a book again is to use the potion of duplication?

Quick question:
When it says that my weapon attack power is halted while fighting the Great Blue Dragon, does the base power or the current power with add-in's half?

Gavin, I'll check my blue dragon battle. But I think it means you calculate your attack power with bonuses and all and then you divide the outcome by two.

The funny thing is that ruled by the way we battled hydra and some of the later monsters it would probably be possible to halve the weapon and let the bonuses apply. You know what, better ask Kelly. When in doubt wait till the boss decides what's best. ;)

My personal opinion is that we should go with the text - if it says weapon effect , then we should limit it to the weapon ind its modifiers - baubles and potions (excluding pets and poison potion). Never mind how we did it 2 years ago. But that's just my opinion.

As far as I know, only at rest. If I remember correctly potions are only one that can be taken during battle to heal.
But I might be wrong :)

I am on a killing spree and I needed to attack Eisdrake. Before I posted my attack to the White Dragon thread Sara made her attack. I'm afraid I dissected her battle (just a little) to get the right numbers for other players. Oops.

A few days ago, I killed the Woolymark, and used the gold to buy potions that helped me defeat a bunch of monsters. Today, I found out you need to have a DOG to find those minor hidden/hidden monsters.
If I bactracked now, I'd have to go REALLY far back...
So... Can I just refund my winnings?
I've already given back the exp and owe the game 13 gold :(

Is it ok to do this?
Or do I have to backtrack?

I would say it's o.k. Refunding your winnings when backtracking is really difficult should be enough IMO. Mistakes happen.

My opinion based on the Blue Dragon description

¨"This dragon rules the seas, and lakes, and streams, and inlets, and fjords and probably lots of other water related terms. Both of your weapons have a tendency to hit a bit softer on this beast (half as hard if you want to know specifics). However, for each healing potion you use, the blue dragon loses 5 health points."

is that everything that has to do with weapons should be halved.

What should be halved:
enhanced weapon potion effect, damage potion effect, Growing Strength Potion effect, orbs
even horse - I digged up the description : "Horse 2 is a Baroque Horse built for attack. He will give you 1 extra attack to both your weapons.", pet plus potion effect (limited to horse)
What shouldn't be halved:
puppy, cat, minor poison potion effect, pet plus potion effects (for pets other than horse)

Again this is just my opinion, Gavin. :)

Thanks! I had been stuck there too! I started sort of focusing on it the last 3 months or so to fill in holes and start more levels. lol. I really want that darn dragon to FEEL it. ;)

It is pretty fun. I have been trying to divide up my resources so that I use x amount each time to get the most out of them and be able to keep attacking, but I'm finally getting towards the bottom of my supply....which is also fun since that's more stuff to work on getting.

From your thread I know you currently have a lvl 5 magic staff and the +3 AP orb.
5+2+ 3 orb = 10 AP, it's your base attack power. EDIT: So without the orb it's 5+2= 7 AP.

What potions did you use? Do you have a horse or a puppy?

I used a level 5 (10 AP) staff , the +3 AP orb, the enhanced weapon potion (+3 AP) and the damage potion (+3 AP), which equals to 19 AP, which divided by two equals 9.5, which I rounded up.
