Congrats :)

That made me remember last renaissance faire I went to. We were watching the hawk show. They were doing great, then one just flew off in the middle of the show. They waited for awhile and then were "I guess he's not coming back." Then they wrapped up so they could go track him down with the beacon he had on his foot. Made me wonder what they did before gps.

message 6903: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3799 comments Is there any chance we can buy salt and herbs individually for some gold instead of bundled in 5? (It never hurts to ask right)

message 6904: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa Lane You can always buy them from reva or someone on the open market in smaller quantities

message 6905: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3799 comments Haha yes I bought out all of Revas supplies and then Zuzana's extras.

You are all awesome and helpful, love this game!

message 6906: by Cathy M. (new)

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5976 comments I bought 10 each last night so have a couple extra if you need them.

message 6907: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3799 comments Zuzana sold me her extras, but thanks Cathy! It's good to know so many people are willing to help.

message 6908: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Yay. It all worked out. :)

message 6909: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments I have a question that has been asked before but I couldn't find it in the thread. So sorry for asking again.

Do beverages (tea, coffee) count as food for the cover assignments?

Yeah, I'm ok with that. I believe my phrasing from before was anything you'd consume that was deemed normal by the standards of the community. (so no paper even if you can technically eat it.)

message 6911: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments Thanks, Kelly.

Morgan (faeriesfolly) | 522 comments I have my egg if it would help any one and 3 cooked Mouse Meatballs (+3 HP each). Just free to a good home/hungry tummy for any owies gruesome wounds you may have received during your daring adventures. ;)

Still available:
1 3 HP Egg (good this week)
1 Mouse Meatball (+3HP whenever)

message 6913: by Megs (new)

Megs (meganlikesbooks) | 376 comments Morgan, if I could get just one of the mouse meatballs, that would set me up for next week's battles. I promise it would go to a good home!

It's yours :)

message 6915: by Sara (new)

Sara | 1294 comments Can I grab one Mouse Meatball as well, Morgan? I planned to attack a few more rocks since I need to get some gold for the Phoenix quest... I'm currently running low on HP and it would so helpful!

message 6919: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments I have a question about the animals we can acquire/befriend by completing July quests. Does pet plus potion affects all of them? I would say sure for the phoenix & the sheep but what about the befriended bird?

message 6920: by Reva (last edited Jul 12, 2016 09:00AM) (new)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments I thought they were like the rabbit -- which can't be doubled. After all, they're not gained from combat.

Teresa (teresab78) | 1658 comments Reva wrote: "I thought they were like the rabbit -- which can't be doubled. After all, they're not gained from combat."

I thought we could double the rabbit...

message 6922: by Zuzana (last edited Jul 12, 2016 10:07AM) (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments I don't remember Kelly saying that PPP is restricted to combat only (or that the PPP doesn't work for the rabbit). I might have missed her post though.

message 6923: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Huh. I don't think this has come up before.

I'm tempted to give you doubling of all pet bonuses even outside combat since that does appear to be closer to the wording of it.

What are your thoughts on it? It is an expensive potion to use so it's probably not real sustainable to keep it on all the time.

message 6924: by Zuzana (last edited Jul 12, 2016 01:01PM) (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments Well, I'm for not restricting its use. Like you said, it's one of the more expensive potions and it's used quite sporadicaly (for major battles). I personally used it only once so far.

message 6925: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (faeriesfolly) | 522 comments I agree with Zuzana. I think it's a nice thing when you do use it/have it active, and sort of offsets the cost.

message 6926: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa Lane Yea I don't think the doubling would break any existing game mechanics. I think it would be fine since it's more rarely being used.

message 6927: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 1658 comments I concur!!

message 6928: by Ray (user2637) (new)

Ray (user2637) (hugpete) | 1521 comments I concur also, and have used it to double my bunny egg once before so.. yeah. *sheepish grin*

message 6929: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments So.. I'm thinking the Phoenix and the sheep are pets since they belong to you. The bird just comes to visit so it's not considered a pet. Plus that already has the additional mechanism to increase drops.

message 6930: by Diane ~Firefly~ (new)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 2438 comments Speaking of sheep as pets, has anyone found some good books to get the sheep?

message 6931: by Reva (new)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments It would certainly accelerate obtaining spells.

message 6932: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3799 comments Diane - I don't know you're book tastes, but I found the Hamish Macbeth series's by MC Beaton (cozy mystery) are short and sweet and tend to depict Scottish landscapes on the cover so I've seen a couple wit sheep and horses.

message 6933: by Megs (new)

Megs (meganlikesbooks) | 376 comments Diane, I think some editions of the books by James Herriot have sheep on the cover

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Kelly I was wondering for the Jan quest, can I use books that I read in Dec 2015? Well for task that are open I mean.

message 6936: by Diane ~Firefly~ (new)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 2438 comments Thanks Rebecca, Megs and Kelly!

message 6937: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Yes. There's only a few quests that require fresh books.

I'm reading these for the sheep quest and I love them.

message 6940: by Mary (new)

Mary (wimew) | 397 comments I have a Question about the sheep It just has to be mentioned once (within text) for it to count right?

message 6941: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Mary wrote: "I have a Question about the sheep It just has to be mentioned once (within text) for it to count right?"

since the sheep should be "in it" it can be mentioned but the sheep should be present. Not something like "I was a sheep farmer when I was younger." or "I remember when there was lots of sheep in the fields." But something like "She passed by the sheep in the field." would be fine. So just present tense sheep. And real sheep. Not "The people followed the leader like sheep."

message 6942: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (nancyland) | 387 comments I picked up Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann for a book with sheep in it. It's about sheep trying to figure out who killed their shepherd. No idea how good it is, but it looks funny!

message 6943: by Reva (new)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments So is there a final decision regarding the pet plus potion's use with the new pets.

message 6944: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (faeriesfolly) | 522 comments All the Birds, Singing by Evie Wyld I stumbled on this looking at library audiobooks last night. lol. So we'll see how that goes.

message 6945: by Kelly (new)

Kelly (ladykatala) | 5020 comments Reva wrote: "So is there a final decision regarding the pet plus potion's use with the new pets."

Yes. Let's go with it doubles all effects of pets that you own. So the visiting bird is the only pet that you don't own.

message 6946: by Reva (new)

Reva (revans) | 2481 comments Ok. Thanks

I'm hopeful! Haven't started it yet though

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3799 comments Hey fellow RPGers!! How is Wobble going? I won't like I sometimes pop into random threads to see what is going on with the challenges (having serious FOMO), but usually it's way over my head haha.

message 6950: by Teresa (new)

Teresa (teresab78) | 1658 comments It's going well! We got a pm though that indicates some people are taking it way too seriously though!
