All Adrienne wanted was a fun new job on a cruise ship—instead, she’s dealt three big surprises.

Surprise number one, wonderful: Her best friend Samantha has joined the cruise!
Surprise number two, also quite good: the First Officer is rather handsome.
Surprise number three, definitely not good: Samantha is suspected of murdering a VIP cruise passenger.

I really enjoyed Adrienne and her cruise ship work pals, one of which was her very own bestie from home who ended up getting sent to the brig as a suspect in a VIP passenger's murder. I absolutely loved Cece's character! She's hilarious and was the best thing that happened to Adrienne on that cruise, since her friend was unavailable for most of it. The two of them sleuthing was just too funny.

I was a little surprised at who the was, well not who just the circumstances. I guess I was as fooled a

This was a fun read with surprises on every deck. Adrienne has a new job on a cruise ship. Although I would have loved to experience the cruise more, a murder mystery took front stage. Samantha, Adrienne's friend, is suspected of the murder. This is a cozy mystery entertaining the reader. ...more

A GoodHumorous Cruise Mystery

The girls that are working on this cruise are funny murder inspectors. Always a surprise around the bend on each page.

Loved this first book in the Cruise Ship Mystery series! It has everything I love about cozy mysteries- interesting likable characters, friendship, humor, an intriguing cozy mystery, and a little romance! It is not scary, graphic, or intense. It will keep you guessing until the end! Adrienne becomes the Media Manager on a cruise ship managing all the social media posts. Her best friend Samantha surprises her and has a job on the ship too. Sam has a run in with a VIP cruise passenger and he ends ...more

Hmmm, not my favorite but cute

Not bad, but still left me wondering what was Sam not telling Addy about her experience with Mr. Murphy.

I admit that part of me thought CeCe would be the guilty party, and I was definitely hoping that was not the case. I liked her and wanted Adrienne to have at least two friends on the cruise ship. You can't spend weeks on a boat without having people you trust around to hang with. Not to mention having to share quarters with. Those rooms are usually tiny. I am act

When I opened this book, I was looking for a silly, fun, fast read. I knew this was going to be a bit cheesy , but.... I don't even know what to say.

Before I get to what I was disappointed in with this book, let me say that overall I did enjoy it. It was mostly what I was looking for. A book that was in no way serious and a lot quirky. This book does fit that bill, as do most books in this sub-genre. However, with that being said, they aren't all written as well as others.

Curiosity and shenanigans

A good start to a new series. Okay not laugh out loud funny but definitely amusing with a plot that unravels like an onion that has twists and turns that will throw you off target. Even though the suspect pool was small I still had difficulty pin pointing the culprit. Strong characters with a bit of an OTT attitude but ones that could become firm favourites.

1/no cruiseline hires this way. Experience is, and it is done from within not to mention from the line's country of origin. American? It says 'ocean' not river.
The last minute hiring of friend as a 'customer service' something or other. They are called pursers and there is no off the cuff hiring. How any languages does she speak being one of the first questions in the interview.

Not a terrible complicated book to read. In fact it is quite easy to figure out but it has a lightness to it that some mysteries do not have.

I liked the photo aspect job where the main character takes loads 9f pictures and then places them on the most notorious online chat sites. The character of Cece is hilarious and she always keeps one smiling if not laughing.

While the plots are quite obvious, and the book very likable, the cruise aspects are absent. We get a lot of ship life but nothing of p

This is a new author and new series to me. This book was such a fun read. Adrienne decides to leave her small home town and take a job as a social media manager on a major cruise line. Once she arrives in her cabin she's surprised to find her best friend Sam there. Sam lied to the cruise line about her experience to gain a job so she could be with Addy. One thing leads to another and there's a murder and Sam is the number on

A great start to a new series

This book was the first in what I know will be a very fun and entertaining series. Life on a cruise ship can’t be all fun and games, especially dealing with passengers, so there will be plenty to write about. Adrienne is going to be a likable and humorous character along with her bestie and their new friend they made on the ship. The male lead is stickler for the rules and I can’t wait to see how much Adrienne aggravates him! Good story, good mystery and great charac
A great beginning to a new series! This was a really fun read. Adrienne joins the crew of a cruise ship as the new Social Media Director. She learns that her best friend, Sam, fudged her resume so she could join Addy on the cruise. They are looking forward to ship life but less than 24 hours into the cruise Addy finds a murdered passenger. What ensues is a wild ride trying to find out who the killer is while juggling a budding romance with the 1st Officer. Really funny characters and story!

This book had many grammatical errors. I found myself having to reread parts in order to determine what was happening in the book. Sometimes a character had a thought that did not relate to the topic at hand. After rereading the previous sentence or two it was clear there was a missing sentence or thought describing the character's thought process. This book is also too much like another cruise ship series, it didn't seem original. It is a clean, cozy mystery thus the two stars. Normally I enjoy ...more

Sailing the seven seas to find herself, Addy was working on a cruise ship as a Social Media Manager, meaning she gets to spend all day taking pictures and tweeting, instagramming, and facebooking. The first day on the ship, she finds one of the VIP guests dead. Could her best friend, a Customer Liason, have anything to do with it? After all, she was the last person seen with the victim. Aiming to prove her friend’s innocence, Addy starts her own investigation. Of course, working in social media ...more

Surprise on the high seas

I started this book not really expecting much because it was free on Amazon, but I ended up pleasantly surprised. It is well written and I immediately fell in love with writer's style. The story was good as well as fun, and the characters are great! I love cruises so the made the setting perfect for me. I even really liked that there was a diabetic character since I am a type 1 diabetic myself. The end has a huge surprising twist so I can't wait to read the next book as

If I did not love cruising, I would probably not enjoy this book- it is incredibly lightweight. However, I did enjoy the feeling (and memories) of being on a ship for a few hours.

Some of the details are laughable, but I suppose that is the author's aim. For example, Addy is able to open the brig's door with Cece the housekeeper's ship card. Also, one has to sign in to the ship's buffet. While they were able to track the killer to a bar, they did not notice that she had been only drinking non-al

Killer cruise/a. R. Winters

A good mystery on a cruise boat. A good who done it story. Two best friends end up on their first job on a cruise liner, one who has training for the job the other no training , no experience. And both dealing with a dead body found, you add a good looking captian, another experience friend they meet, and add the chaotic clients and you find yourself smiling a little with the humor attach to these peoole. Good entertaining story.

A witty and enjoyable book.

I was not really expecting to enjoy this book very much after the first few pages. Having someone from home show up sort of aggravated .e, because I mistakenly thought it would be all about life back home, etc. I was totally wrong! The characters are interesting and funny, and the situation is confusing enough to keep the reader involved. Nothing too heavy. A nice quick read for an afternoon.

A fun read, I don't know how much of this I would say sounds authentic, and the body is found on like page 5, but Addy goes about trying to extricate her best friend Sam in a rather light-hearted way while somewhat being attracted to first-officer Ethan and cracking jokes with her new friend CeCe. An easy beach read if we were able to go to the beach or take a vacation. Maybe this will take your mind off the quarantine. ...more

Great read

This is the third cruise ship series that I am reading and this one is from a totally different perspective --that of an employee rather than a passenger. I am really enjoying the characters and looking forward to seeing where their relationships go.The mystery was definitely well-written and tricky!🤔

Fun Little Story

I really enjoyed the characters, the setting and the story-line. Two young ladies leave Nebraska to join the staff onboard a cruise ship. There is a murder, and one of the girls has to prove her friend's innocence. Youthful naivete and energy lead to success, with a hint of romance along the way.

A wonderful cozy mystery

I really enjoyed this book. Ms Winters writes like I like to read. There are no bad words and no sexy language. She gives you several suspects and surprises you in the end. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading a good clean cozy humorous mystery.

A cute story of mystery and murder, with a side of romance. Adrienne and her best friend Sam just started jobs on a cruise ship. What could be better? But then a VIP passenger is murdered and Sam is the top suspect. Now Adrienne, the social media manager, puts her journalist degree to use investigating and trying to clear her best friend.

I love all of the series written. Whether Vegas, a cruise ship, a small cafe. I am going to start the witch series next and expect it to be just as great. These are great to read a few chapters before bed.
