Shanna_redwind | 598 comments You know what I hate? Misleading advertising in book titles. With a title like A Baby by Easter, and the genre of inspirational romance, you would think there would be some sort of Easter celebration, wouldn't you? But no. The book ends the day before Easter, then the Epilogue takes place 4 months later. I think they were out to deliberately suck in the demographic reading a book to find an Easter celebration within the pages. And it doesn't even take place in spring, at least not enough of it.

Morgan (faeriesfolly) | 522 comments Congrats Zee!

I paired the Great Novel Dragon with Jabberwocky since I had the potion effects and went well! I wish you luck getting those three conquered as well! (Plus nice to have someone around the same place as me in the fights! :D)

I did the same thing. haha. I'm pretty sure I was practically strutting around work the next day, but we're all EPIC ADVENTURERS, so we're kind of big deals. ;)

Rebecca (rebeccasg) | 3801 comments Wow Zee!! That was quite a battle you had.

I'm glad to hear about Lady Ysmay. I haven't hired anyone yet because I keep forgetting and haven't killing anything big yet.

For some reason I didn't realize she healed 5 after every ROUND and not battle. Shoot that's like a minor heal potion.

While the hiring of a merc lasts a week, you CAN dismiss them after I battle if you want.

I used Lady Ysmay for one battle, then dismissed her and hired the twins for the rest of the battles where I needed double the output.

A book featuring chocolate or where the main character is a pastry chef for my bunny

I'm hoping for it being the May release but it will be a slow roll out. I wouldn't panic :)

Probably a coming of age type book would be your best bet for that one.

They tend to have people who learn a big lesson about life as the point of the book.

I hoped for June. I have a big battle planned at the end of May.

Can you at least reveal if it's going to restrict/take away some of the options we have now or if it's going to be an add on? Pretty please.

I would hate to re-work all my plans yet again. As much as I enjoy the planning phase sometimes it's just too much work to re-do all the calculations.

Lol. Sorry my geek is showing.

Something similar to how jack and jill's or the mercenaries added a new element into how things are done.

message 6030: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments Kelly wrote: "It would be adding a new game mechanic. "

I really appreciate you answering the questions, Kelly. I know it's something big and I fully understand you don't want to reveal too much. But what I need/hope to get out from you is "will it take away some of the options we have now?" Would we still be able to do our battles as if the change didn't happen?

What I mean is it something that is "avoidable" at least for a while? Can it be ignored when you feel like it or is it something that automatically affects everyone? Like the plague, or e.g. taking away or restricting effects of some of the potions, taking away some of the training options at Jill's school, implementing caps on certain things - mercenaries for instance, restricting the use of last year's books.

Because if it's something like that, I still have an option of giving up on most of my sleep till the end of the month and spend it reading in the (vain) hope of getting all I need for my attacks in time before it's too late. I just need to know if the change warrants that kind of emergency? ;-)

LOL! I know. :-) It's just that 6 months of planning would be wasted. And I hate wasting time.

BTW Reva, if I read 60 books a month I wouldn't have been worried either. *winks*

It's not much, is 4 hours enough for you? If I slept less than my usual 6 I would be grumpy all day.

Anyway, I shuffled the books left in my tote and if I give up on Merely Kats and the Rare Binding I'll manage to go on a major killing spree before April is up. And the good news is I won't be forced to cut on my sleep either. Now I just need for things to be calm at work. Any major emergency and I'll spend my "free-time" drafting contracts and studying laws instead of reading books. Hope that our clients will cooperate. :D

message 6037: by Zuzana (new)

Zuzana | 2570 comments I haven't finish my slingshot yet. But for the "bouncy thing" requirement I'm looking for balls on the cover. So far I got Cat Among the Pigeons (Hercule Poirot, #32) by Agatha Christie .

Cheques bounce too LOL.

message 6039: by Cathy M. (new)

Cathy M. (mccathy77) | 5976 comments Basketball or soccer ball - if you don't mind reading sports romances you can find something! I think someone even asked about big breasts on cover which I believe Kelly approved :)

message 6040: by Morgan (new)

Morgan (faeriesfolly) | 522 comments lol. I have strings of lights through the air, because they would bounce being outside and exposed. Menagerie (Menagerie, #1) by Rachel Vincent

Contemplating hair: Shadowshaper by Daniel José Older which I'm also thinking for 'painter' since the MC is an artist who paints.

haha yeah I don't do a lot of sports romance or contemp. romance in general so I was like I need to think outside the box. There's always good suggestions in here when it comes to outside the box sorts of thinking. Like bouncing checks and breasts. XD

Zuzana | 2570 comments Thanks, Kelly. :-) You know, this particular "upset" did me some good. I've been postponing my hydra slaying attack for at least 3 months now. I totally know the feeling Zuzana. I have my attacks and strategies planned out for months in advance. And then usually by the time it's all ready, I've changed my idea and decided to do a couple things that steer me in another direction. A major game changed event would seriously throw me in a tizzy (promise I'm not a diva ;))

Kelly may override me, but I'd say it has to be like J.K. It says "only" initials instead of full name. The one you mentioned has a full first name so I'd say it would not work.
