~KarenH~ | 11332 comments Hi Tania, I finished my second pick, Bound by Flames, last night and loved it as much as I expected to! I'm starting one of your new-to-me picks (Stormwalker) this morning.

Elke (ejurca) | 1810 comments Ty,

Finished my second pick Quarterback Draw (Play by Play, #9) by Jaci Burton -liked it..actually loved it. Even though the heroine (to me) was a little annoying...It was still as HOT as the cover is! ;)

On to #3!!

yeah those covers are hawt. My favorite cover is still #1. :)

MK - finished my first pick, Up From the Grave (Night Huntress #7) by Jeaniene Frost . I liked it well enough, 4 stars, but it was definitely time to say goodbye to Cat & Bones. The past few novels have been kinda meh, so I guess I gave an extra star for the nostalgia-factor. This was one of the first series I've discovered here on GR through the various group threads. Ah, memories... Thanks again for the pick!

Tammie, I'm so glad you enjoyed both of them!

When do you plan on reading Push? I would love to read it with you, I'm just not sure of my timing. My parents are coming in from out of town tomorrow to stay with us for 10 days, so I have a feeling I won't get much reading in. If you read it in the next few weeks let me know how it is.....I'm hoping to get to it by the end of the month :)

I am almost done with a fifth pick, Slave to Sensation, too! I hope to get a few more in - need to check in with some other challenges first though. Thanks for the awesome picks!

Hello Beppy,
So far I have read.
Unspoken (The Lynburn Legacy, #1) by Sarah Rees Brennan *** Stars
Touched by an Alien (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #1) by Gini Koch *** Stars
Flirting With Danger (Samantha Jellicoe, #1) by Suzanne Enoch *** Stars
Breaking the Silence by Katie Allen *** Stars

Breaking the Silence was my favorite so far... Thank you for the picks.

P.S. I am a really harsh rater so three stars is actually really good for me.

Ashley | 449 comments I just read . . .

Vengeance Born (The Light Blade, #1) by Kylie Griffin ** Stars

I had a hard time connecting with the characters. I found them to be a bit boring.

message 222: by GreenFairy (new)

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments Finished my second and third picks over the last few days. Just not able to post.

For Tiana:
The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole 2/12

My best friend absolutely loves this series. I wasn't a fan of this particular one. Mostly because I couldn't connect with the two characters. Otherwise it was good. I'm hoping future books are better.

For Rapunzel:
The Virgin Sex Queen by Angela Verdenius

I have no idea where to begin. An erotica author (character in the book, not the author of this book) who has no knowledge of anything erotic? Not a good basis for any character in any story.

I'm loving the reread on audio! I think it's better the second time around since I don't have to muddle through all the world building.

message 225: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments Hi Tammie!

I finished two more...

Fall from India Place I really enjoy this series. It's become one of my favorite series and I always stay up way too late reading them!

True Brit Aw! This was cute and different from what I've read by Con in the past.

Thanks for the picks!

MountainKat | 31593 comments Breann wrote: "I'm loving the reread on audio! I think it's better the second time around since I don't have to muddle through all the world building."

I completely agree! This is such a complicated world, it really required focus the first time through and a I couldn't listen since I read the first few before the audios came out. So between the audio and having a feel for the world already, it is much easier to just enjoy the story! I'll be at least a third of the way through Visions of Heat by the time I am done today!

message 227: by ~Melissa~ (new)

~Melissa~ | 2097 comments Diane ~firefly~

I kinda cheated - I read The Winter Courtship Rituals of Fur-Bearing Critters and Super Sock Man - books 1 & 2 the end of Jan as they were short and filled avoid. They were awesome - so I substituted How to Raise an Honest Rabbit book 3 for your book 1 pick and loved it. This series is just such a fun sweet series and OMG (view spoiler) I have a couple more I want to get to - have to see how the month goes :)

~~*Julie Kawalec-pearson (jewel77) | 85 comments I finished my first pick, Infinity by Sherrilyn Kennyon. I probably mispelled the named.

I liked it. I am glad you suggested it. It was a bit slow in the beginning but I already put book #2 in my tbr pile.the only irritating part was not every YA book needs to have a slow, for lack of a better word, main character. They always catch on in the end.

Hmmm... not sure what I will read next.

message 231: by Ty (new)

Ty | 1943 comments MK - finished my 2nd pick, Rusty Nailed (Cocktail, #2) by Alice Clayton , 4 stars!
I was wondering how it could possibly top the first book, and it didn't, but that's okay, because it was good in it's own right. There were still sexy times, and there were still some funny moments, and I'm oh so happy the next few books are of new characters and not the three establish couples. Thanks for the pick!

I definitely might have to do the first few in audio again, since like you, Kat, I read the first three. and they were just all meh (except for Jude's, whew). But I loved some of the later books, all of which I started in audio. hmmmm.

Hi Kristin,

I read a second pick from your list....Marley in Chains Marley in Chains by R.G. Alexander . I really liked the characters, but because it was so short, I felt like I didn't get enough of them. message 236: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments I finished another one, Tammie! I'm so glad you recommended Sugar Daddy. I'm not sure I'd have read it otherwise and I just adored it. I laughed and cried and couldn't stop listening. I was actually looking for more laundry/dishes/cleaning to do so I could keep listening. O___O (I can't just sit and listen, I have to be doing someone else)

i've read Angels Fall and Caressed by Ice and really enjoyed them both. i had read "angels fall" before and didn't really enjoy it, but i really liked it this time around. 4 star read for me. and "caressed by ice" was so good. i really liked brenna and judd together; i think that this series just keeps getting better. 5 stars.
i also read Twice Tempted and i was very disappointed. i had read the novella preceding this book and really enjoyed it, but the writing in the book was just...poorly done. 2 stars.

Thank you SO much for recommending Red Hot Lies because it was beyond fabulous! I have had it sitting on my shelves for a couple of years (!) and I would not have picked it up had it not been for your recommendation. I can't believe I was missing this great book for so long! I have already pulled the next one in this series to read next because this one was SO good!
Thanks again! I hope you are having a good reading month yourself. It is cold and snowing where I live (in the Northeast of the US) so it is a good time to stay indoors and read.

For Cinderella: Their Virgin Captive (Masters of Ménage, #1) by Shayla Black

It was alright. I would have liked to have read more of a background on the main characters meeting and falling for each other. But the story was good otherwise. Main female character having a stalker is played out though. But I loved how she still stood up to those around her anyway.

message 246: by Diane ~Firefly~ (new)

Glad you liked it! I also have that with short stories, when they are good I want so much more and am just not satisfied with a short :)

message 249: by Kaity (new)

Kaity | 492 comments Hi Rebecca! I just finished up my second pick, Manhunting by Jennifer Crusie. It was a lot of fun :D I've enjoyed all of the other Crusie books I've read but I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this one as it's older (possibly the first book she wrote..?). Manhunting ended up being just as good as the others though!
I'm also very slowly working on one of your new-to-me picks (A Game of Thrones). I LOVE it but it's not something I can just sit and read for hours. I've been reading a chapter every night before bed. I hope to finish it sometime this decade ;) I actually ended up buying the kindle 'box set' that has all five books. Never again!! There's nothing worse than reading for weeks and still being on only 2%.

Manhunting by Jennifer Crusie

Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Hi Sadie!

I was able to finish two picks this month but I doubt I'll have time for more...
The Sinner (Return of the Highlanders, #2) by Margaret Mallory The Sinner by Margaret Mallory 2/3 ✯✯½
Shifting Dreams (Cambio Springs, #1) by Elizabeth Hunter Shifting Dreams by Elizabeth Hunter 2/23 ✯✯✯½

The Sinner had a heroine I wanted to punch in the throat and Shifting Dreams was a bit predictable, but still good. I enjoyed Elizabeth Hunter's Elemental Mysteries series much more.

Thanks again for the picks!
