I keep telling my hubby that I'm going to be a librarian when I grow up...but working at a book store would be amazing...even if I was broke all the time! ;)
Just had this deal pop up on Amazon:Spend $25 on any ebooks Nov 23-30, get $6 in ebook credit
I'm not sure if this is eligible for everyone, or if my uptick in recent ebook purchases has triggered a reword for me to make more ebook purchases! lol, well that just means I can continue gifting some more!

I hope my SS isn't worried if it's a bit before I claim my gifts. Because of physical health issues, I don't get online everyday. Sometimes it might be a week or more before I do depending on how I'm feeling.

I hope it comes out as you need it to, and you get better soon!
So I can't believe how much of a positive this exchange is for me this year. I've been so behind in updating, but since my restaurant officially shuts down tomorrow as Los Angeles has closed all outdoor dining again and my last day was yesterday, I finally had some time to jump on and see all the positivity and fun everyone's been having. I am all set to finally get to gear up and enjoy this holiday season. It's been a strange couple of months and I know these last few weeks have been really stressful at work as we were all pretty much waiting for the ax to fall. Now I'm back into quarantine for at least 3 weeks (though I figure they're going to keep things closed through at least the end of the year as I don't exactly see case numbers dropping drastically as we move into the holidays) and I'm going to go dive into being a wonderful Santa (maybe possibly even an elf ;))Thank you all for being a bright spot in my crazy right now. Love you guys!

it sure is a strange world right now...so sorry to hear about your stressful days. here's hoping you can get some good book time in and relax a bit during your stay at home!

This has been a really good book giving year to end a really crappy one. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from the USA.
Whether you’re celebrating the holiday or not, I hope everybody has the best day. 🙂 In a severely crappy year, GR has definitely been a bright, happy spot for me and I’m grateful for all of you. Stay safe y’all. ❤️
I don’t know where to put this question lol I’ve never read the Cut & Run series and I previously had it on my wishlist and was going to add it again and realized you can no longer buy the ebook anywhere. I can only find it in paperback, I’m so confused! And regretting not just buying it earlier when I could 😂
The first book in the series you can buy is the 6th one... it’s so bizarre!! I thought I was going crazy for a bit when I couldn’t find it

Unfortunately, due to a publishing mess with Dreamspinner apparently screwing the authors out of their rights and royalties, the first 5 books were pulled by the authors, I think. I’m a little fuzzy on the exact details. Maybe it’s just ebooks and audios, I didn’t think they were available in any format any longer.
If there’s any series worth buying in paperback, that’s the one. 🥰
Kacey wrote: "The first book in the series you can buy is the 6th one... it’s so bizarre!! I thought I was going crazy for a bit when I couldn’t find it"I don’t know if you are in the US but if you are, your library might have the ebooks. Mine has all of them, even book one. I think it can depend on the library but might be worth a try. I know when libraries get ebooks, they have a certain number of times they can lend the book out before it expires. I guess that’s why some still have them and some don’t. Hope this works for you. I love Ty and Zane.

My local library actually has them, well most of them, including the first one. You have to read it as an ebook in a browser or Libby, but surprisingly it was there and available. Might check yours?

I installed a browser extension for libraries so any time I'm on goodreads or amazon it shows me if my library has it available (it's not totally foolproof, but it's very close, mostly sometimes tells me no and yet it does happen to be in the catalogue if I manually check, as opposed to false positives, which never happens). I have two local libraries, one city and one county, so I always have to manually check the county one. Weirdly that one tends to have the more obscure things. So, I've sort of gotten into the habit of aggressively checking everything. I do totally forget sometimes too though. :D Habits!

My library does not have the unfortunately 😩 not ebook or the physical book. Fate does not want to me to read this series lol

Okay, has nothing to do with books but this IS the random chit-chat thread, and I wanted to shout out HOW MUCH I ADORE "HAPPIEST SEASON. OMG A QUEER HOLIDAY ROM-COM THAT IS SO GOOD IT MAKES IT INTO MY FAVORITE MOVIE LIST THIS YEAR.

I'm so sad for you...I was also super bummed when I noticed a slew of books I had on my wishlist were 'no longer available' on amazon...all DSP pubbed books.
It's just heartbreaking. I feel so awful for the authors.
But...I hope Roux finds a way to bring them back.
One of my all-time favorite series. Ty is my book husband!!
I had an elf ask me to link the Cut & Run series here. I just feel really bad for the author that’s so frustrating!! It’s been on my tbr for a while. I’ll get to it eventually but it makes me sad the authors work can’t be enjoyed as easily :(
I just got off with an amazon rep (actually my 3rd of the day) because I had problems sending a gift and gahhh, I'm giggling because my lovely rep told me that book was his favorite in the series. And he also rocked my issue and took care of it in 2 minutes...
instead of the 20 each of the other reps struggled with.
Ended my long chat with a huge grin on my face though. Ha.
Sharing book love makes my day!
I sometimes google for two Rachel Haimowitz novels. They are unavailable. I found one for 300 dollar and one for 700.So basically I'm still looking. I feel your pain. Authors get sick, or quit or loose their publisher.
