I have been getting that too. But as long as you put a correct link, it will take you to the book. So I think that is just a glitch on Elfster part

Yeah, I think so too. I tried hitting the arrow beside the compressed book cover like Kaycee said and the total cover did come up. :)

**Kαчcєє** (slavetoromance) | 223 comments Another thing I’ve found. Sometimes there’s huge price discrepancies. One book I’ve found on AMZN is 3.99 but searching on wish, the same book comes up over $7.

I do know that even within Amazon there can be price differences, although not quite that dramatic. Often books are posted for .99 on .com and I go to .ca and it will be $1.49. Not a great difference but I assume it's to do with exchange rates and currency. I'm not familiar with Wish (only as the Chinese site you can buy knock-off items) so not sure why the price would be that far off the .com site.

Tj (bluesmokey) | 128 comments Trying to catch up now. Been gone a lot. FIL has/had kidney cancer. They think they got it all but recovery has been terrible. I've been up there driving the in-laws around because MIL doesn't drive and of course FIL couldn't. Since I'm an empty nester, housewife, I was elected to drive. So happy I'm home for a few days! I've been doing much audible lately so it was one way to escape them ;)

Hey Tj, I'm sorry to hear about your FIL and I hope they got it all. You're an awesome person to help them out like that, and the audiobooks are a great idea, LOL! <3

Lisazj1 | 1514 comments Hey, I've been nosing around a bit *LOL* and I have a question. With peeps that have an GR wishlist only, do you go and delete it off that wishlist after somebody buys it, so you don't get dupes?

message 127: by Tj (new)

Tj (bluesmokey) | 128 comments As soon as you can. At least that is what I do

I just wondered if anybody thought of it. I had a giftee one year that didn't, and they got a few of the books I gave them twice.

LOL I usually double or triple the amount between going over on the person I am supposed to buy for and then all of my "elf" gifts 🤣😂🤣

I don't even pretend. I go over every year on the person I am supposed to shop for, then I send gifts to people who seem fun, my friends, and people who seem like they need another book. I also spread the deal posts around to help out people not in the group get more books. Maybe I should start setting a limit.

You are totally right! I did a Scavenger Hunt earlier this year and my team from that Hunt made my year so much better when everything else is going crazy.

message 150: by Zach (new)

Zach | 38 comments I have a short set of rules for gifting anyone aside from my assigned recip, to keep myself from going overboard:
1. It’s a book or author that I have heard of and/or read
2. It would make me happy that this person will read this book in particular
3. It’s under 5 dollars

That limits how much I can spend because loads of people ask for stuff that is out of my wheelhouse. Maybe it’s selfish but I want to share the joy I have for these books,,
