Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 2364 comments This is what I have listed so far in the post thread. Let me know if there are any others to add. I've updated it to reflect the 3 or more books in a series. I've never been on a team that had a chance of winning before. Hopefully we have everything we could grab for bonus points.

Raluca (ral003) | 63 comments Can we use the points to go to spot 100?

message 303: by Karen ♐ (last edited Nov 28, 2020 11:45PM) (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 2364 comments We only have 5. I thought we had 4 which would have only gotten us to 98. So I waited to use the points until the last roll.

Winning spots are 101 and higher. Even with 6 bonus points, you only get to 100.
I'll add the 2 more bonus points to your tally, thanks for checking!

Sunshine✰✰✰ | 687 comments Am I understanding right that even with the bonus points, we don't have enough to get to a winning spot? Just trying to figure out if I need to speed read something.

No speed reading necessary this week. You'll definitely get to a winning spot next week no matter what you roll, and likely several other teams will go past 100 as well then. So you should have something ready to speed read next week. :)

It would be great if everyone could finish their book by Thursday evening so that I could roll at midnight as there are a few teams that will probably get over 100 this time (including us).

How it Fits: Men of Mysteries Past #4

Review:
It was a light sweet romance book with a light romantic suspens plot. The hero is a thief, more that this, he is full of secrets, the heroine believe in him (and I liked that). I personally liked this story and sometime soon I want to read the entire series because I was left with the desire to read about the other 3 brothers.

Sounds good. I will post by Thursday evening. I just started my book today and it's over 500 pages.

So we get a point for not reading the alternative task? Idk that!

So I finished my past but I did an alternate one because it worked with another challenge also. Do you want me to post my completion? I could probably get another book done instead that would be a #4 by Thursday if that would give us an extra point.

I believe we have that point already. So no need to read another book. Just post your completion of the one you finished for this week.

Reaper's Property (Reapers MC, #1) by Joanna Wylde
Week 11 ~ Spot: 94
Book: Reaper's Property 3* ✔️ 11/28
Author: Joanna Wylde
Pages: 306 pages
Qualifications: author's last name (Wylde) starts w/ W

Review ~ So this way cute in some ways & just meh in others. It definitely had some funny times. I think I will like picnics book much better. I have high expectations with MC now that I've read Tillie Cole. I mean... Come On. This author might have been the first one to really put MC books out, but IMHO, Tillie Cole & Callie Heart are the Queens of MC. There are still quite a few MC authors I haven't tried yet. But the ones I have can't touch Tilly and Callie.

So a couple of quick questions... If we make it past a hundred, we will have a choice of 1 & 10 along with whatever the last number? Or just the 10?

And is the winner the 1st full team to finish or the furthest spot next week?

message 319: by Karen ♐ (last edited Dec 02, 2020 07:43PM) (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 2364 comments I believe it would be 1, 10 and whatever the last number is. But I'll check to make sure. And yes, whatever team gets 101 or above and finishes their books first, wins.

message 320: by Karen ♐ (new)

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 2364 comments Denise has confirmed that is correct and also standalones would work for 1 or 0.

Review

I think this was my favorite of the series so far. I loved the little Pop Culture mentions, Vampire Diaries, Beautiful Creatures, The Hunger Games.... I loved the "locked room" mystery with the missing woman. Sam speaks with (view spoiler). We learn some interesting tidbits about her demon and about her family line. We now know why she was attacked and turned into a vampire. And she's going to get back with Kingsley. Squee! Looking forward to book 10!

Review: Another good addition to this series. Kaden & Keegan are twins and they have been trying to get together with Bristol by slowly being there for her. But she keeps putting them off. I really enjoyed watching these 3 work out their issues for their HEA. I was so glad that I had read the first book in a newer series that the author recommended to read first because there are major spoilers for it in this book.

Review: I'm not sure where to begin. All I know is I loved this book, but at the same time, my heart broke. I bawled my eyes out for Connor!! No kid needs to deal with death at a young age. Written in a simplicity but full of emotions. I highly recommend it if one doesn't mind crying while reading!!

Review: I have had this on my TBR for quite a long time. I definitely should have read this sooner. I loved it. Mack is trying to find her friend, Talia, who disappeared. She knew she was working at Slainte, a club run by the Irish Mafia. She worms her way into the club and the owner's life to find out what happened to Talia. This book had so much action and suspense, I couldn't put it down. I'm definitely reading the rest of the series.
