for you. Dylan Allen is a favorite of mine. He characters are so quirky and her stories are quite fantastic and fun with lots of angst. I hope you enjoy Apollo and Graham.

Marissa, this is a tough one for me. I love the narration, the slow burn (surprisingly) and the slow building friendship, but I'm having a problem with the ethnic slurs, especially with the state of our country right now. I've reached a point in the book where it's reciprocated and playful, but it didn't start out that way. A year ago, I wouldn't have noticed--I probably would have thought it was funny, and that realization has been weighing on me a lot the last couple days. Thank you for the pick. I can see why so many readers love it, and I really thought I was going to, too. 😕 I'm calling it at 43%.

They all..."I agree about the authors you mentioned. I have way better luck with Vi Keeland solo books than I do their joint efforts. Karina Halle is still an author whose books I'll always take a chance on. Well, except her horror stories. Lol.
Finished My Lovely Wife earlier this week. For me, it wasn't quite as good as I expected (I didn't try to find pockets of time to listen to it) but I still really enjoyed it and I DO recommend it. The twist surprised me, which doesn't often happen with mysteries.
Narration was really good and doesn't affect my rating one way or the other.

I finished! Thanks Ela for a great pick, I loved How to Kill a Rockstar. The writing was excellent and that made it easier to overlook some issues that need to be addressed. Unfortunately, some content is off putting but like I said the writing is wonderful so I really enjoyed it. 5 stars.
