Hello Everyone! I have not made an update in days, my desktop died and I am just waiting for my part to fix it. I can't bear the thought of putting my list back together again. If things change I'll break down and do it.

Swapped some around as well as bringing in Frost Bite. I can't rush through the BDB, so I'm saving Lover Awakened and Lover Revealed for November, I'm getting Lover Avenged for Christmas, so I've got some time to catchup.

Just finished The Van Alen Legacy by Melissa De La Cruz. It is book 4 of the Blue Bloods vampire YA series. After a slow start I ended up liking this book. It is told from 3 alternating perspectives of which I enjoyed some more than others. It had a satisfying conclusion and I'm looking forward to reading Book 5 Misguided Angel next year.

THANKS EVERYONE!BJ & Flib--Her Fearful Symmetry was a definite change of pace compared to the PNR and UF I am so partial to reading--but it is nice to switch it up on occasion :-) At first it was slow as molasses because there are so many different character relationships she had to explain and I was sort of bored with that in the beginning. I am not quite 1/2 way thru and it has definitely picked up now that the ghost has made her appearance. She has a very interesting cast of characters--one for instance is OCD and agoraphobic. Just when I think I can't handle his neurotic ways anymore, he does something totally lovely and I can continue reading. The book as far as I can tell is about family secrets, betrayal, love, loss and finding your way in the world (2 sets of twins are the main focus)--I will let you know how I feel about it when I'm done.
Shannon from MI--As I was reading Her Fearful Symmetry today, one of the characters was talking about "steampunk" and I laughed and thought of your reference of that last night--never heard of it!
Elyssa wrote: "Cherra, way to power through for this month! What's next on your reading list?"Elyssa--yeah, I got finished quick this month...I had some good material to work with :-) I am currently reading
and tonight I am looking forward to starting a new series I have heard so much about--

Yeah its me in the funk, read angels blood thought that was good. Its just hard to find books that perk my interest. Once i get in to it.
Sounds like some good reading. Let me know how the Pleasure Unbound series starts off. I've also heard some good stuff about it but have yet to grab it myself.

aahhh--sorry about that Shannon. I thought you were the one who'd been in the funk. :o)
BTW--you guys should see the boy scout scarf that #1 grandson designed and I got conned into stitching out. :o) He's so cute, and he knows how to work it to get Grandmommy to do just about anything he wants.

Cherra wrote: "Shannon from MI--As I was reading Her Fearful Symmetry today, one of the characters was talking about "steampunk" and I laughed and thought of your reference of that last night--never heard of it!"Isn't that weird how that happens? I just kind of fell into steampunk recently even though I knew what it was I'd never read anything of the genre. I'm kind of excited for Katie MacAlister's take on it, she's got Steamed coming out in February. You should definitely check out Soulless though, it was fantastic.
Orange – Lover Revealed – JR WardBrown – Claimed By Shadow by Karen Chance - a stretch but the background is sepia/brown
Julieanne wrote: "Yeah its me in the funk, read angels blood thought that was good. Its just hard to find books that perk my interest. Once i get in to it. "Julieanne, I know what you mean. I've been in a "book funk" for some reason this month too. I just can't seem to get into anything. Work has been busy, but not that busy. I haven't even read one of my challenge books yet this month. I just can't get into any of them. I've been buying books, just not reading this month. I think I'll try doing what Ann said and try one of my more humorous pnr books.

What! Mrs. Soule, how come you didn't like Smoke Thief? You didn't care for the historical aspect or...?
That's 7 of 9, I believe. Unfortunately the other 2 books are getting shoved to the back of the shelf right now. I have to head to my Mum's on Tuesday, and have a stack of library books to finish that's almost as tall as I am. :oP Some of them I'll take with me, but there are others that have GOT to be finished because I can't renew them because other people have them on reserve. So the 5 that I have to get back before the trip have taken precedence. I might see what I can do about subbing some of them (like if one has an alternate cover or something) but in the mean time I'm running around like crazy trying to get the house read (HATE coming home to a dirty house) get clothes washed, read, finish off 2 quilts that I need to get bound and, and, and, . . .(collapsing in exhaustion just reading to to-do list), :o) Anyway, here's the list
1.Orange I Thirst for you by Susan Sizemore
2.Red Atlantis Rising by Alyssa Day
3. . Brown Viking Heat by Sandra Hill
4. . Green Leader of the Pack by Karen MacInerney
5.. Black My Wicked Vampire by Nina Bangs
6. . Yellow The Renegade Hunter by Lynsay Sands
7. . Purple Stakes and Stilettos by Michelle Rowen
8. . Pink Dragons prefer Blondes by Candace Havens
9.. Blue Betrayed by P. C. Cast & Kristin Cast
Opps, forgot to post the cover and give my review.
This is the first book in the "Warriors of Poseidon" series. Pretty good for a "first of series" book. Altho I felt that the ending was a tiny bit rushed. Ok, I was going to post my main complaint about the ending--but then I realized it would be a major spoiler, so no complaining. :oS
