I could, but now I'm going through and finishing all the series that I started! We'll see if I find enough new authors to try round two. This is so NOT my normal reading pace.

Casey Anderson | 637 comments Finally finished my first one! I am behind. Loved it though. I know I said Simple but I am trying the fancy anyway, just not expecting to get it. Updated post 28
The School for Good and Evil (The School for Good and Evil, #1) by Soman Chainani The E for evil

message 167: by Gremlin (new)

Gremlin | 966 comments Hi Casey! Congrats on book #1!

Though it wasn't specifically stated, the idea was that you would use the first word of the title (or the author's first or last name) to spell out your goal/resolution. So The School for Good and Evil could be an S or a C.

I can see from your post #28 that you'd originally intended this as your S book, so I'm going to put it in as an S. I hope that doesn't mess up your system to much!

message 176: by Jessabeth (new)

Jessabeth (jessabethy) | 20 comments I just finished book #4 The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey and I loved most of it. I am noticing I seem to have an issue with not liking the endings of books though. Maybe it's because it is a series and I just need to read the next one.
Updated post # 71.

message 177: by Gremlin (last edited Feb 11, 2015 07:28AM) (new)

Gremlin | 966 comments Updated!

And Jessabeth, I totally feel you. Book endings are really important to me and I honestly get SO annoyed with series books that just use it as an excuse NOT to truly end a book. I'm not saying everything has to be tied up, but there has to be some sense of closure.

laurel [the suspected bibliophile] (laurelthereader) Finished 9/12 Red Rising (Red Rising Trilogy, #1) by Pierce Brown . I have no idea why I waited that long to read it--it was was soooooo good! I can't wait for the second one!

I think the next book is just as good but the ending of it is even more WTF. Yancey seems to be building up to a massive conclusion-I personally can't wait for the last book to come out this year but he has set a really high bar for himself. I hope he can deliver.
