So basically I was thinking in terms of secret santa, they would be "giving" book recommendations and the challenge would be to read the recs. So like we could either choose a set # of books or one of the questions on the form would be "how many book recs would you like to receive?" The Secret Santa would then fill those recs based on the person's likes and favorite genres and all.

Yeah it makes sense, so for some of the questions should I put what is your favorite genre? Favorite author? lol i'm trying not to make it too complicated.
Should I put as a question regarding addresses? or how should I go about that

Since Valentines day is on the 14th, should I just have the deadline be then for those who want to do it have until the 14th to fill out the form? I'm trying to think of what would give me enough time since classes are starting back up in february lol
I'd say have the deadline be a little sooner since everyone needs time before Valentine's Day to send in their recommendations for the person they receive.

I am so excited to announce that we are going to be having a book swap in February! Now it isn’t just any book swap, it’s a mystery book swap. That’s right! You don’t know who you are getting! Think about Secret Santa but with books. The question in the Google Form consist of your favorite books, genres and even authors. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me or one of the other moderators! :)
I have posted a link to the Google Form if you would like to participate please feel free to fill it out by February 7th 12AMPST.

Yah! So you have to be on the desktop site and if you go to the group home page in like the upper right corner it says Group Home and you click the Members button then if you scroll all the way down at the bottom it should say broadcast a message to all members under the list of members, click it and the you can start writing the message! I hope that helps
Yep! Like Emma said, click on members. Then (this is how it is for me) scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and the "broadcast message" button thing should be there.

Yeah we are swapping recommendations. We probably should have included that 😂
I will make a thread with all the instructions. That way we can post the full list of recommendations and people can chat about there books there.

You could start giving each person someone - that way there is less to do later. I posted a thread for the challenge as well , let me know what you think and if I need to change anything :)

I updated the BOTM and the February prompt for the Yearlong challenge. I was thinking to help to group be more active we could have regular polls as it's been popular in some other groups I'm in. I could send a poll first to member's seeing if they would be interested (I know some people don't like invites so I would make note of that).
I think the google form would be the easiest way, if you are good to create one.
