I think it should be 5 to a team and one card each week, and maybe start in mid may to see if the heritage challenge is any good
That sounds good- I don't want to overlap the heritage challenge since it looks like a lot of fun :)
Ok cool I'll plan for mid-may then
Also, for the Lighten TBR Shelf Challenge, I think there should be 2 winners. One who read the most books, obviously, and one who read the widest variety, as in completed the most prompts. Because some people are just reading a bunch of books from the same prompt
Good idea! I'm also planning have having a poll or something for suggestions and thoughts on the challenge to see what everyone liked or didn't like about it
Do you think I should announce that there will be two winners on the thread or just kinda leave it a surprise? 😂
Hey guys! So I just created and posted the poll for May BOTM but it won't let me invite all of the group members :(
Would one of you all mind going to the poll and inviting everyone in the group?

Okay so for some reason my laptop is glitching and I can’t do it, if it’s still not working maybe someone else could try?
Hmm that's wierd- do you mean the BOTM poll or the Tbr challenge poll?
Thats never happened before...I'm not sure how to fix it 😂
Hey guys! Happy May!
So we got quite a few new challenge ideas in this thread from members - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
For May I know we are doing the heritage challenge, so what/when do y'all think we should do some of the other challenges suggested?

Those are really good ideas. I think we should see how the heritage challenge goes, and if it's not too active then we can do one of them mid-May and if it is, then in June. I really liked the Age Challenge and Name Challenge ideas. I opened the Heritage Challenge last night
Natalie, why don't you participate in the Heritage Reading challenge? It must be frustrating to sit back in the challenges that you started and miss out on the fun, so maybe the mod that sets up a challenge could be the mod or mods that sit out and every one else can participate? Just a suggestion
Haha ok that's a good idea- I would love to participate!
Sorry just saw your question- I just changed it
So I know we had some suggestions for a readathon so maybe we could have one in the summer? Maybe in July? Most people would be on summer break so it’s a good time and we could do challenges that go with it as well. I personally could use a readathon especially after school is over
Yeah that sounds good! What type of readathon? (like would it be counted by page numbers or by full books or something else?)
Cool so then do you all want to do a July readathon? Sarah you can host it if you would like, since you haven't gotten to host anything yet :)
I know that someone suggested we do a LGBT+ in June since that is Pride month. Should we plan for that also?

Yeah, I think the person said that we make our way through the letters, so for the first one we’d do a book with a lesbian character, and so on
Hmmm maybe we can send out a broadcast reminding everyone that the challenge is happening. I'm starting a book right now for it, and have another one picked out to read.
I guess some people can't access books other than what they own :(

Ok so I'm about to send out a broadcast to all the members with some updates, and a way to get books for people who might be having trouble participating. Should I include the "plan" for the next few months and what challenges will be happening?
Cool I would love to host! I think you should add in the books lans for the next couple of months so people are prepared and when the time comes that they can participate we have more people
Cool- maybe we could go ahead and put out a spot for BOTM suggestions for June so that the final book can be announced sooner. That way everyone would have more time to get the book before the BOTM starts.
Maybe inanna or izzy would want to host a challenge- one of them could do the pride month one since neither have gotten the chance to host anything.
Oops sorry I just looked and izzy is now billie_eyelash

So I just made some online bingo cards for a team bingo challenge and I want y'alls ideas and opinions:
The "theme" that won the poll for which kinds of book bingo was cover colors, so I made cards relating to that. The idea is that each team would get a unique card (maybe more than one, or one for each week or something? what do you guys think?) and they would have to work together to get 5 in a row.
What size teams do you all think would be good? Since the cards are 5 by 5, and we assume everyone completes one square, I would say at least 5 per team with maybe a few more in case someone can't finish a book or something.
Also when do you think we should do this team challenge?
I'm open and would appreciate any ideas, opinions, or help on this :)
Sorry for the long message
