So glad to hear that, Pammy Jo! πŸ€— And what a lovely gift from your neighbors! I can just imagine your kitties watching it... πŸ˜„

We are also expecting rain and 50 degrees for Christmas! 😳 Seems like we get a thaw like this every winter. I don't really enjoy it. It usually means dealing with flooding, and then it invariably turns sharply colder with high winds, and then we have ice everywhere. I like ice but I worry about my family who have all had serious falls on it.

That sounds delicious! It would be interesting to try it, but of course some math would be required to make a single cake! πŸ˜‚

No doubt, it could feed most of the 19th Century New England author population! I can't even begin to think how to reduce the recipe to make just one cake. My brain is too muddled for that sort of equation! LOL!!! πŸ€ͺ

Joanna GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!! 😊

"The scene is steeped in beauty; and my soul,
No longer lingering in the gloom of care,
Doth greet creation's smile. The grey clouds roll,
Even from the mountain peaks, and melt in air!
The landscape looks an Eden! Who could wear
The frown of sorrow now? This glorious hour Reveals the ruling God!
The heavens are bare! Each sunny stream and blossom-mantled bower
Breathes of pervading love, and shows the power
That spoke him into life hath blessed man's earthly dower."

Emma,
So you woke up to a normal day and ended up with
Maine on your skirt.
Meg was disappointed it didn't smell like a skunk?
I'm sure your family and mail carrier appreciated that.
Did she tell you about it before she mailed it?
What happened to the fur?

Emma | meadowroselibrary 6 MONTHS?!??!!! YOU MEAN I HAVE SOMETHING THAT IS 6 MONTHS OLD?!?!?!? 😱😱😱😱😱
