It makes me think of a song I sang with my Kindergarten class...
"Goin' on a bear hunt!
Gonna catch a big one!
We're not afraid!!!"
Every time I sang that with them, I used to think~If Miss Pammy ever really went on a bear hunt, she WOULD be afraid! VERY afraid!!! LOL!!!

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
Ring out the grief that saps the mind,
Ring in redress to all mankind.
With sweeter manners, purer laws.
Ring out the want, the care the sin,
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.
Ring out the darkness of the land,
Ring in Christ.
- Alfred Lord Tennyson (adapted)

I'm doing well, a little tired, because yes I did stay up late last night. π€£ I didn't get to bed till 12:30. π³

I simply must greet it.
So today, I lounge and follow up on
what I missed, with copious cups
of coffer, tea or cocoa.

Yes, it is fun to do! π
π€£ I should make me some coffee or tea, I haven't had any. It's a good idea though. π I tend to just drink water and don't ever think about drinking anything else. π I'm trying to catch up on some reading. π΄ Quite behind!

either are a good restorative.
That looks like a good resolution,

you have achieved that, treat
yourself to a bear gauntlet.π

And yet, another bear! I wonder? Is 2021 the year of the bear? I think I recall reading it is the year of the ox, but I'm not sure. Nevertheless, it seems to be the bear around here! LOL!!!

πHappy New Year!π
How are you?
The bear is Meg's unofficial N.E.L. mascot.
Give it time and she will have a bear skin
cap that will rival that of Davy Crockett's-
named Nathanial. π

I'm hanging in there. I have the shingles virus now, across my upper back on the left side. The pain is bad at times. It's always something!
Happy New Year to you, too! I think the bears are cute and I just enjoy teasing about all of the critters mentioned (or pictured) on our conversations!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Ruth! π€π€ I'm doing pretty good. How are you? 17 bags of leaves...WOW! Do you use them for mulch?"
I'm glad you are doing good, especially
with winter's abundance. Yes, I have used
leaves for mulch. In this case there were
far too many leaves to find the ground.
A couple of years ago my mother and I
were clearing out a considerable amount
of leaves when we ran out of bags. My
mother found a tarp to cover a long
pile of red and orange leaves, unfortunately
the tarp was black and created the effect
of a grave on the front side of the house.
This had a surprising effect on pedestrians
as they cleared a corner of shrubs and
recoiled at the sight and site of a "grave".

Pammy, I'm so sorry to hear you have shingles! I hear they're no fun. I'm wondering how effective the vaccine is for that...did you receive it?

I was wondering were you were and
hoped you were doing all right.
I am also glad you are well.π€β€
I'm fine, dear, thank you.
How is Twilight?

How is Twilight?"
Happy New Year! I was reading The Dean's Watch with a cat on my lap! π Twilight is doing well...full of energy, as usual! I don't know when she's going to stop being a puppy, but that's fine!

I'm looking forward to starting
the book about mid-month
then chime in, finally!
Twighlight is adorable!
The bittersweetness of outgrowing
puppyhood, some of us never do.π
She is a year now, isn't she?
A blessing and comfort in a trying year.
Give her a big hug for me.π€

How is your dog doing?
Ruth is it?"
It's Keturah. π She's doing really well! She's been diagnosed with pancreatitis, but she's doing excellent!!
