That's a hard one, Cassandra, but I think The Midwife's Tale: A Mystery was my favorite. It was a wonderfully written historical mystery.

Updated 651. Because the places don't have to be real right? Eldafjord is the name of the setting where the book take place. I think that place is made up, but it is set in a real place in Norway, Vestlandet. Or more like a part of Norway.

Just completed #15 (Royal title) - The Dark Queen by Susan Carroll. This was an entertaining read with a good mix of fantasy, historical fiction, and romance. The plot was predictable about halfway through and some of the romance scenes were a bit fanciful, but overall, good book. Worth reading! 3.5 stars

I really liked it too. Have you read it is so good and their is an intro to Winter. That queen is slightly creepy
