Justification ~ The story centers around a boy who is taken in by a wealthy family. The patron' owns land that he then rents out to sharecroppers to grow sugarcane because there is too much for him to care for by himself. He is trying to keep the government from taking it, and he learns of a government loophole that prohibits them from taking land that is planted with orchards. The boy's bees lead him to an established (but forgotten) section of land with an old established grove of orange trees. He brings the blossoms back to his father, and the patron' realizes that he has found the thing that he needs to save his land. He buys a tractor so that he can speed up production, invests his wealth in orange trees, encourages his sharecroppers to participate in the plan - etc etc etc.
