Before that, I wrote some short children's stories (not published), and plenty of nonfiction articles (published). Beyond even that, I remember typing stories on an old typewriter as a child and forcing my friends to act in my plays on the playground.

So I suppose I've been writing all my life.(less)

“Dreams like feet, better than knees.”
Therese Walsh, The Moon Sisters

“It took strength to notice things, sometimes, when those things were hidden away in dark places, stuck on the edges of the periphery. Strength to point to them and say that matters enough that I need to do something about it, especially when no one else blinked over them or everyone else forgot they were important.”
