Adolin: really grows as a character over the first 3 books, and some really cool things happen at the end of book 3, that I can’t wait to see explored in book 4-5...
Shallan: I like her less and less with each book... SORRY... I’ll be able to say more, later in this book, once you get a glimpse at the impetus...

Really exited to read the prologue from (view spoiler) I can't wait to read more about adolin then. Oh that is a shame about shallan. I think she is okay but not that good like kaladin or dalinar.

Chapter 11 introduces the most important character on Roshar... Stick...
I recently learned that Stick is an in-joke among fans... so much so, that for April Fools' 2014, Sanderson wrote a "deletere Interlude" from Stick's POV...
Stick is a stick, and says "I am Stick" a bunch of times while (view spoiler)...
This fan love for Stick has led to some jokey canonical statements from Sanderson at signings... like Stick is a worldhopper, and a member of both B.A.R.K. and B.I.T.E... he's even mentioned again near the end of the 3rd book...
And I love that there's fan art on the wiki:

Thank you :) Yeah, I decided to take some time off during summer and than I'll worry about finding a job and similar stuff after that
Haha I agree, so many fantastic characters to choose from

@Iain RE Prologue, not even gonna pretend I understand half of what you said there lol but I get the gist that the heralds aren't all completely gone. Where are you getting all that historic info from, does it come up in the books?Adolin: really grows as a character over the first 3 books, and some really cool things happen at the end of book 3, that I can’t wait to see explored in book 4-5...
I'm so glad, he definitely deserves it!

Haha yes! And damn, I've forgotten Stick on my Top 5 favourite character list 🙈
@Lucija, Agree, I found Jasnah's POV really interesting too, I did find her a bit cold and snobby in the last book but reading from her perspective humanizes her a lot more.

I think May last year, and he read the prologue of book 4 to us and it was from Lirin's POV, Kaladin's father :) But maybe there's something from Navani as well
Timelord Iain wrote: "Re: Prologue: The Heralds aren’t gone... they broke the Oathpact, and abandoned Taln to torture in Damnation alone(which turned out to be a blessing in disguise, since he endured alone for 4500 yea..."Aaah, then it's her we saw in one of the interludes! I didn't realized while reading :)
@Beena: A fair bit of it comes from Dalinar’s visions... other stuff is probably spoilers I forgot were from later... more Herald stuff will definitely be coming in books 2-3... more about the Unmade, too... things like Sja-anat (view spoiler)

EDIT: I just tagged this whole comment as a spoiler, because I forgot it revealed BIG things about Jasnah... I can't even say much about why/when to read this spoiler without spoiling more... lets just say you'll know when to go back and read this spoiler :D

Also, I was stalking Siobhan yesterday and saw that there's an official Knight Radiant Quiz now :) I'm very curious what order you are:https://www.brandonsanderson.com/the-...
I'm a Stoneward (79%), but so far I don't think we've seen any of that order, so I can't wait to learn more!
I'm also quite close to Willshaper (71%) and Lightweaver (67%) like Shallan.
For Elsecaller I've got a negative score with -3%, so I don't think that's me 😂
Stoneward: only known Stoneward is one from a quote in an epigraph from WoK (ch. 33)
Willshaper: uh, oh :D ... only known Willshaper is (view spoiler)... means we should learn more in book 4, at least...
We really don’t know much about any of the orders except Kaladin & Shallan’s, at this point... Bondsmiths are still pretty mysterious...

Haha, I know! But (view spoiler)
You mean now as in the beginning of WoR or now after Oathbringer? If later, I think we also knew a lot of the Skybreakers and a bit about Edgedancers. But yeah, I think Bondsmiths are really interesting, I'm looking forward to learn more.
Also Iain, stop only judging and tell me what you aaare! :P
Timbre is great/interesting, but it’s hard to forget/forgive (view spoiler)
I definitely should have included Skybreakers and forgot Edgedancers...
I haven’t taken the test...

Ahm... Maybe I'm confusing Venli and Eshonai right now... Well, that's why it's time for a re-read :D
What are you waitung for, do it!

I think we'll reach the Audiobook goal with the Kickstarter, especially since the BackerKit Shop counts towards the goal as well. I'm really excited and will for sure listen to the Way of Kings Prime audiobook, I just don't know when it will be done.
There are still 5 hours left, if anyone wants to join, to get the auiobook, I think it even should be enough to pledge 1$
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...
As beautiful as they are, I won't buy the leatherbound books, but the novella :)
Yeah, I saw that Anni. I'll probably listen to the audiobook in this case. Not quite the time commitment of the book...(Since I'd be listening while doing other non-reading activities)I pledged at the $10 level. I wanted to go higher, but couldn't stretch it...

absolutely that's why I love audiobooks!
As I need to buy Dawnshard anyway, I decided to make myself a present and get the hardcover. :)
But for Tier 2 I would have to pay international shipping at least twice, that's as expensive as the Tier itself :D So I only pledged without Tier for now and will buy the $50 Novella set from the BackerKit. That way, I won't get the Bridge 4 poster, but also don't have to pay ~$25 shipping. That's fine with me :)

And I forgot to mention earlier, (view spoiler) is back! Yaay :D
Chapter 3 Lucija (view spoiler)Chapter 4(view spoiler)
Agreed on your thoughts of chapter 5. I can't wait to see how it developes
Oh, backerkit...That's a great idea. I might add that to get the hardcover of Dawnshard. I don't think that was there when I first pledged.
@Anni, was wondering what you were talking about so took a look at that link, wow those leather bound books are beautiful! And that artwork looks amazing! I'm surprised Sanderson has decided to turn them all into leatherbound books now though, wouldn't it make more sense just to do it after he's finished writing all 10..
Christ on a bike, 200 dollars! Ahh it's so tempting, but that is a lot! I'm a sucker for the artwork though, really immense.

I really want that audiobook to happen... needs to make another 254k in 106 minutes tho, to hit the $7,000,000 stretch goal...
Probably the only way I'll "read" WoK Prime...

Well, I ended up doing the pledge without the reward thing, so I can still get access to his add-on store later. I assume you'd only be able to buy that leatherbound version from him and nowhere else?

I'm not a bookshelfer, but Sanderson has put a lot of thought into these books... he wants a novella between each book (including going back and adding one between books 1 & 2) and these 10 leatherbound editions would have each of the 10 Order of Knights Radiant symbols spread across the series, depending on whose book it is (for flashbacks)
Very picturesque and OCD

I think it's a Sanderson thing, not a Kickstarter thing... backing the Kickstarter gives you access to a section of the Sanderson merch shop to add things later, after the 30 day time limit passes... if you want to add more things later, when you can afford to...

Wow, that's amazing. So much love and passion gone into these books. And the icing on the cake is that his work is definitely worthy of the special editions.
Oh I love that they each have a symbol of the 10 orders! What a nice touch!

Prologue (view spoiler)[ Be interesting to see why Jasnah suspected Ehlokar's wife.. I wonder what Gavilar was planning to do that made the Parshendi want to kill him.. (hide spoiler)]
Chapter 1 (view spoiler)[ The Soulcasting is already more interesting now. Fascinating that they have their own realm and really interesting that people created them out of their own expectations/desires, will be interesting to learn more about them.
And Jasnah helping Shallan out after she betrayed her, I'm surprised really. Though she probably realised that Shallan is still naive and misguided. Betrothing her to Adolin though? Marrying her into her family is massive thing, no matter what Jasnah suspects that she could be able to do. And I don't think she's worthy of Adolin, she hasn't done anything of note so far. I kind of hope that they don't get married lol. (hide spoiler)]
Chapter 2 (view spoiler)[ Surely Kaladin can heal his scars with stormlight? (hide spoiler)]
Chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ It didn't occur to me that Jasnah would have her own spren too! I'm intrigued. Why Shallan's is appearing as some sort of pattern is weird though. And what was that flashback about a shardblade?! Strange. (hide spoiler)]
