Yeah... it all comes together in book 3 (view spoiler)
Flashbacks should be interesting, too... Books 9 & 10 are (view spoiler)

So because I've backed it, I'll be able to buy things after in a special shop? :) Do they email you when it's available?
Yeah, that's what Sanderson said in the post :) I've no idea, but I'm assuming so!

Thanks for highlighting this in the final hour, Anni! 😄
I'd love to know where you were stalking me to find that Radiants test 😂

Yea... so book 1 has the symbol for Windrunners... book 2 will be Lightweavers, book 3 Bondsmith, book 4 Willshaper, book 5 Skybreaker, book 6 Edgedancer, book 7 Truthwatcher, book 8 Elsecaller, book 9 another Lightweaver?, book 10 Stoneward
Maybe the system was broken with evolving flashbacks since the initial draft?... it looks like Dustbringer is missing, unless something drastic happens in the story... I guess Sanderson could always use Dustbringer for book 9, anyways, if there's a main enough character to warrant it?

Yeah, thanks Anni! Had no idea that was going on!

I guess he's doing it because af the anniversary and I can imagine that it was requested a lot. There already are leatherbound versions of Mistborn, Warbreaker and Elantris I think and I can imagine that a lot of people would like to further build up their Sanderson library :)
Also think how expensive it would be to buy 10 of those monsters all at once, and how heavy the box would be for shipping :D Buying it piece by piece seems way more affordable.
Beena wrote: "I assume you'd only be able to buy that leatherbound version from him and nowhere else?"
I think so... You can check if you can buy the leatherbound Mistborn books anywhere else, if not, I guess the same is true for WoK

Probably the only way I'll "read" WoK Prime..."
Yeah, but it was stated that all the money from the Backerkit will count towards the goal as well, so I'm more than optimistic that we'll reach it :)

I think it's available immediately after the Kickstarter ends, so in roughly an hour.

A little here and there 🤭
I was admiring ine of your Instagram pictures and there you were discussing the test :) I'm afraid I forgot your order tho... I'm a bad stalker...

Yeah! :( But that's also because the poster will be shipped separately, so you have to pay for shipping twice. If you pass on the poster, you can buy the Novel + Swag set from the Backerkit (that's what I will do 😁). It's still $50 for the whole set (same as tier 2, but without the poster), but the shipping will be cheaper.

Well I think I would definitely prefer being an Willshaper over being a Skybreaker... They seem to be a bit... fanatic.
But Truthwatcher sounds interesting, and with (view spoiler)

You're not a bad stalker, I haven't actually done the test yet!! 😄 I will soon!

Yeah, he did say it was because of the 10 year anniversary. Ah that makes sense if there was a lot of demand for it. Haha, I did think buying all 10 together would cost thousands, but then again, I think I would do it; I'd prefer to have the whole set at once, rather than just a few and be annoyed that I didn't have the rest and just had other formats lol. I'd display them on my bookshelf and allow no-one else to touch them but me haha.

Ah, good idea!

The Kickstarter actually mentioned bookstores
"We love independent bookstores, so as part of the campaign, there will be a few limited vendors who will have copies of The Way of Kings leatherbound as well as some of the swag items. These bookstores include:
Subterranean Press
The BYU Store
Murder By the Book
Mysterious Galaxy
Powell's Books
Borderlands Books
We'll have more information about this after the campaign, but the books likely won't be available at these vendors until the holiday season."
But I habe no idea where those booksstores are, but surely nowhere close to me 🙈

@Timelord Iain I totally agree with your comment regarding chapters 56-58. By far the best chapters in the books so far.
I've already read WoR and oathbringer but wi start rereading soon and start commenting more. Nice to see everyone's views and Insights though.

@Beena, @Paula about Navani's journal (view spoiler)

Haha yeah... I guess to travel there would be more expensive than the shipping 🤭

Uhm excuse me? You've forgotten The Lopen is great! :D
Chapter 12 agreed! I also love how much Syl trusts Kaladin, I also think her character is a perfect supplement to Kaladin.

Pattern/syl: I didn't realize that! It makes sense and I'll pay more attention to those moments. Cryptics seem interesting, though all spren are so much more interesting that i thought they would be in way of kings.
I'll remind you when I finish. Thanks :)

Haha, that's a constant feeling when you’re reading cosmere books with Iain 😂 He went down the 17th Shard rabbit hole so many times!
Also I think you guys catch a lot of hints already :)

If you want some hard to pronounce names, you should checkout the humanoid ant-man in the Wandering Inn series... they don't use vowels, and end up with names like Klbkch (Kill-gitch) and Ksmvr (Kiss-imver)
Like I did with Tvlakv, I'm just telling you how the audiobook narrator pronounced it...
@Anni: You should really give Wandering Inn a go, when you have time... the BR didn't work out really, because of the slow start and long length, but it really takes off once it gets going and I loved it... I've listened to the first 2 audiobooks now, and actually started reading the web serial on the website at Soo's encouragement... otherwise I'd have to wait a long while between books, and there's 4.5 books on the serial without audio yet... I'm making time on breaks at work mostly...

So much foreshadowing... one of my favorites is from Way of Kings, chapter 64 epigraph:
"They come from the pit, two dead men, a heart in their hands, and I know that I have seen true glory." Kakashah 1173, 13 seconds pre-death. A rickshaw puller.
One of those Death Rattles that (view spoiler)
If you don't catch it, I'll point out the scene when we come to it, later in this book :D

Ah damn, if you say so I will. I think it just wasn't the right time back then...

About Navani's diary entries (view spoiler)
@Lucija, about characters dying; I do feel it really strongly if they're characters I love, if I don't, I don't really care lol. I know I wasn't that keen on Jasnah, but I must've liked her more than I thought, I think because she's really strong and intelligent.
Ha, thanks for the pronunciation Iain! Turns out I was saying it right lol. I just take a stab in the dark at the jumbled-up letter names, they turn out different every time I read them haha.

@Paula, though all spren are so much more interesting that i thought they would be in way of kings.
That's what I was thinking too! They're so commonplace in WoK and you're thinking they're just something that will blend into the background (but it did strike me as odd that there were so many, now we know why lol) and now they turn out to be a central part of the story.

I'm into Part 2 now, I'm loving it, all I want to do is read! Stoked that we get Kaladin and Adolin in this part! And I have to admit, Shallan's chapters have really picked up, they're much more interesting now that she's forced into action and she has a spren to deal with too.
