Great!

What about this? It doesn't say Kiwi Fruit, but it is a Kiwi donut and it looks very Kiwi colored.

I think it works. "Kiwi" in the title is clearly referring to the fruit and as you said it also has a kiwi coloured cover:)

For the mini we still need a book that was published on the 24th of any month (for 24) and a book that is predominantly white (for cornflour).
As for the main challenge we still need about 5 more books (not counting the colour book) to finish all the hands.
Lauri, how far are you with The Harmony Silk Factory?
We have about a week left and looking at our teams reading pace, I see no reason why we wouldn't be able to finish both the main and mini-challenge on time:)

Would this cover work for the white cover?

It is a non fiction book with small vignettes about various animals. 165 pages, but quite a few of the pages are drawings.

Hi Anne! I read your review of Enchantress. Very good. I've been wanting to read this one for years, but have never picked it up before.
As I look back over my past read's in other years, I see many that I don't even remember reading! I've been going back for re-reads on some of them. Crazy sometimes...

Cornflour - mostly white cover

Because, apart from that, it seems that we are finished!??

Btw, it doesn't have to be completely edible. We can use ingredients that aren't food:)

Okay, so that’s what I came up with.
Because I had no idea what “New Wave” means I googled “New Wave art” and that was one of the first pictures that popped up:

It has a lot of purples, pinks and some greens plus silver and some geometric shapes, so I was using that as an inspiration.
The cake: That is a regular vanilla cake with buttercream filling. The only thing here is that the buttercream is in 3 different colours. I used this recipe as a base and modified it.
Cake layers:
1. Preheat oven to 160°C/320°F and line the bottom of three 18-cm/7-inch round cake pans with baking parchment.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
3. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter and sugar until lightened in color and creamy, about 5 minutes on high speed
4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition (2-3 minutes on high speed). Once all the eggs have been added, beat for another minute, or until the mixture looks smooth and fluffy, like buttercream frosting.
5. Add the flour mixture and mix on low speed until just incorporated. Combine buttermilk and vanilla and add it to the batter, mixing until incorporated.
6. Divide the batter evenly over three prepared pans. Place on a rack in the middle of the oven and bake for 40-45 minutes.
7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely to room temperature before loosening the cakes from the pan by running a knife along the edges of the cakes.
Buttercream:
1. Combine egg whites and sugar in a medium-sized heatproof bowl and stir with a rubber spatula until incorporated. Set the bowl over a pan of simmering water and gently heat the egg mixture, stirring continuously, until the sugar has dissolved.
2. Remove the egg white mixture from the heat and transfer it to the bowl of a stand mixer. Using a mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, beat the mixture until the meringue holds stiff peaks and both meringue and bowl have cooled completely to room temperature.
3. Transfer the meringue to another bowl and add the butter in the bowl of the mixer. Beat on high fora bout 5 minutes, or until creamy and fluffy.
4. Add the cooled meringue and mix until completely incorporated, 5 minutes on high speed. Once the buttercream is smooth and fluffy, add the vanilla and mix for another 2 minutes.
5. Divide the buttercream in 3 and colour each batch purple, pink or orange.
Assembly:
1. Place the first cake layer onto a serving plate. Take your three colours of buttercream and add them layer by layer into the same piping bag. Try avoiding mixing the colours as much as possible. Pipe about 200g of the buttercream on the cake layer, spreading it gently to make it even.
2. Place the second cake layer on top of the layer of buttercream. Frost with 200g of the buttercream.
3. Place the last cake layer on top, pressing it down a bit again. Use the remaining buttercream to frost the top and sides of the cake with a thin layer of buttercream. Use an offset spatula to spread the buttercream, creating a colour gradient. Place the cake in the fridge to chill thoroughly for at least 1 hour.
For the upside-down effect, I decide to use a ganache drip that looks like it’s dripping up. Like here:

Make the ganache: There are going to be two different coloured ganache, light green and light blue.
1. Combine white chocolate and cream in a small saucepan. Place over low heat and stir with a rubber spatula until all of the chocolate has melted.
2. Divide into two and colour half light green and half light blue. To the blue one add silver food glitter to make it seem more holographic.
3. Take the cake from the fridge and use a piping bag to apply the blue ganache near the edges of the cake so that it drips down the sides of the cake. When the ganache has hardened flip the cake upside down to create an upwards drip effect.
4. Take the silvery-blue ganache and like the green one pipe it near the edges, so it drips down making the green and blue drips meet in the middle. Pour some ganache on top of the cake and spread evenly using an offset spatula. Place the cake in the fridge to allow the ganache to set.
3D printed candies: Nod to the geometric shapes of the original picture.
As an extra decoration add 3D printed geometrically shaped candies to the top of the cake.

A lot of the "New Wave art" photos had black in them, so I'm thinking maybe we could incorporate black there somewhere?

Okay, so that’s what I came up with.
