Question for a Moderator: Is it possible to create a linking post to the yearlong Book Challenge? It would make it easier to add to participants posts throughout the year. Thanks, and my apologies for posting it here as I couldn’t find a thread or send a PM.
Hi Christine, sorry, but I am not sure I understand what you need?
In the monthly newsletter that was sent out today, the link to the challenge was included as well as a link where you can post if you have questions about the challenges in general.
But here it is:
World Book Day challenge
challenge questions and discussions
Mel, I think Christine is looking for a post that lists the participants and links to their comment so they can edit their post without searching for it. Christine, my apologies if I interpreted that incorrectly. Just a suggestion if that is what you are looking for - I copy the link to my post and save it for myself so I can just click on that when I need it. You could copy and paste the link (using the timestamp on your comment) into a document if you use it for personal tracking or your own space here on GR.
Edit - Just ignore this. I see you found each other in the challenge chat thread.

Yes, thank you, Kristie. :)))
HAPPY MAY!!! Hope all of your gardens are growing:) I'm so glad the cold weather is gone, I could cry. Time for flip-flops and capris!
I just had an eye-opener yesterday. I need to replace one of my TVs. So my daughter thought to measure it for some reason. Come to find out, for the last 7 years I thought I had a 75" downstairs, and a 65" upstairs--NO!They are 65" and 55"! What the...It said the correct measurements on the boxes they were delivered in. I feel so cheated. I'm still a bit surprised and put-off.
From now on, I'm going to have them measure the TVSs right out the box. Did I say I feel cheated? Measure your TVs, you paid the price for them.

That's super disappointing, Groovy. No wonder you feel cheated. You were! You have a fun weekend too.
I was sick again with a huge rash all over my body and the reason why that happened was because I was on an antibiotic for my sinus infection and I was in the sun so I’m on Benadryl right now
We are going to get rain again. I was on a 12 day British Isles cruise with my family in May and then 4 days in London. I plan to read some of my books I have by Philippa Gregory.
Sounds like a great trip, Leona. If you want something historical (non-fiction), but funny, I'd suggest Unruly: The Ridiculous History of England's Kings and Queens by David Mitchell. He's narrating the audiobook himself, and it's great. :)

I will check with my library. Thanks.
All of you who live here in the Southern U.S.--listen--that's right, no more Cicadas!! I thought I was going to lose my hearing:)

Now my daughter can stop ducking and jumping every time she goes outside.I remember the Herman's Hermits. They were so cute back in the 60's. They're still together--wow!
Have a lot of fun, Christine!
The first heatwave of the summer has reached Hungary (uughhh), although I cannot even complain, as in my part of the country the maximums will not reach above 35 C (95 F) this time. It should be over by Sunday(ish), for the time being, but I just hate it all.I am one of these totally unnatural persons who can't wait for summer to be over (still 10,5 weeks to go). :)
Finished a re-read of Thornyhold
by Mary Stewart, I own the book. Briefly mentioned Stonehenge which is a place I have visited 4 times.Rain again today. I live on lake and the water is high. Yesterday I had 3 families of geese laying in the yard.
I'm the exactly the opposite. I hate winter and wish summer would stay around for a lot longer in the year. It's SUMMER--yaay! But it's too hot and that's the downside. I have bronchitis and can't be out in it. Leona, did you see what those idiots did to Stonehenge? That was so dumb and outrageous! At least they were able to fix it...
Happy summer, Everyone!
I’m a girl born hard of hearing. I don’t have many friends around my age who are like that and I haven’t known many young people who are born that way. I really feel lonely. If there’s someone like me who could please be my friend, I’d be very happy and grateful. Anyone hearing impaired around the ages 13-30, no matter their religion or gender or orientation, is welcome.

I am more of a Spring person. Being from West Texas, we always had plants growing and now living in Minnesota, I look forward to new growth. I have a heron that stands on the shore most mornings looking for a fish. I like to watch it but have never seen it catch a fish.
Yesterday, I went to a baby shower for my granddaughter. I crocheted a blanket for the baby. She will be born in August . My son bought a little dress when we were in Ireland in May and it is so cute.
Have a good day.
