Welcome, Diamond! Thank you for doing the prison ministry. That is such a needed thing and takes courage and faith to step into that battleground for Christ. Blessings for your journey.

Hey Loraine welcome to the group!

The book is entitled "The Words of My Father" and, though intended for children as its audience, many adults find it relevant. It has received 5 star reviews on Amazon.
"The Words of My Father" captures the nightly dialogue between a father and son before the boy falls asleep. Every evening, before tucking him in, Giuseppe tells his son stories, some from his own life, some fictional, which serve to illustrate the phrases which make up the Lord’s prayer. “Pappa, I don’t understand!” the boy protests. So his father, step by step, illustrates what the words mean for him in the light of his life and imagination before his son dozes off.
The stories transport the boy into far off kingdoms or into his father’s childhood where he learns to reflect on the meaning of words and experiences captured by the Lord’s Prayer rather than simply passing over them. Little by little both son and father reach a deeper understanding of fatherhood, kinship, faith and gratitude.
I would love to offer a print or audio version of my book if you would like to review it.
Or, buy a copy and let me know what you think!
I also made a short video overview of the story which can be found here: https://youtu.be/o_RbHC3v3sY

Be Blessed.

Aww thanks 🙏 😊

Welcome, Katie! It's great to have another teacher among us. I'm a middle grade tutor (in my home), and it's always been fun for me to see some of the kids come in raving about the books they're reading. I always encourage those conversations before we get down to business of helping with homework and test prep.
Lynette Eason is my favorite suspense author. Here are a few more favorites...
Kim Vogel Sawyer - historical
Melissa Tagg - contemporary
Joanna Davidson Politano - Gothic
Karen Witemeyer - western

I'm still learning Goodreads, but I'm excited to be part of the group.
I live in Scotland with my husband, three kids and my sourdough starter, Doris. Here, I write books which might be considered edgy contemporary Christian romance set in Scotland. They are edgy because they deal with real issues, like menstrual health poverty, alcoholism, cancer, loss, etc, and I go deep into faith issues. But they are romance novels first and foremost - I promise!
But most of all, I am a reader, and I write what I like to read, so if you have any recommendations of books that sound similar, please let me know!

easy reading, but, maybe not nail biter suspense. always check the reviews on books

Betty, have you checked out any of Micheal Jack Webb books?

Welcome, Laura, to CFD and God's family. It's always great to have another sister in Christ! :) Have you read any of Joanna Davidson Politano's books yet? I've read two of her four, and they're wonderful with a Gothic vibe that gives me the great sort of goose pimples. Let us know if you have any questions.

My name is Sara and I'm a bigtime Christian book fanatic... fiction, nonfiction, and children's books. I have a Christian book podcast and I am always excited to find new recommendations. I also homeschool my four children and am a newbie homesteader. Just deleted my FB, IG and Twitter accounts so excited to make more friends on Goodreads!
Welcome, Sara! I just deleted FB and IG too. Have you read Kim Vogel Sawyer? She’s one of my favorites.

No, and I don't recognize the name! Any specific favorites to recommend?

Yes love her books especially My Heart Remembers

Oh i didnt know you could reply with a book linked so nicely... This is great!
On the desktop version, there's an "add book/author" button above the comment box. That will help you link to the books. If you want the cover shown, be sure to click the little "cover" button at the bottom of the pop-up box.

I read mostly classics from the 1800's but would like to dive into more Christian Fiction books. My genre is kind of all over the place....
Happy to be here.

I’m just getting used to Goodreads and how to interact in these groups.
I’m a Christian author. I wrote and published my first Christian Fiction book last year.
It’s a short story.
It’s about what happened to the soldier who won Jesus’ cloak at the foot of the cross.
It came to me during a meditation I was doing on scripture.
If you choose to read it, I believe you will be blessed.
It can also be used as a tool for witnessing as it has a prayer at the back for salvation.
It’s called simply, The Cloak.
