I read Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein and participated in the discussion. My post is #44 in the discussion thread here.
**** Elizabeth Wein is a Goodreads Author ****
25.10 Book Group Books
Book 1: Read a book from a real life bookclub
This task inspired a few of my friends and I to start a book club, loosely with the aim to read SFF books and discuss them. For our first book, we read the book Prince of Thorns by Mark Lawrence. Our group was very much divided over the book; some loved the protagonist and some hated him. I found the overly exaggerated violence in the book distatestful and will not be continuing the series, but other members of the group loved the untraditional hero and will be continuing on.
**** Mark Lawrence is a Goodreads Author ****
Book 2: Read a book from the Bookclub list
All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, which is the #1 book on the Most Popular Bookclub Books This Month in the United States (list generated 1/25/2015).
