Dirty Laundry

I don't know why I love book dealing with a MC with OCD
but everyone I have read so fars has been exceptionally well written and full of compassion as well as hotter than blazes. Adam Ellery has IOCD and severe anxiety disorder. Denver Rogers is a bouncer with a great body and a learning disbility in that he haxs problem processing visual information. I love that they help each other out as it should be in a relationship. Kudos to Heidi for a great read.

And no, I don't think we've earned our free pass yet, Jenne. Thanks for checking!
Great roll, Roger! Unfortunately Book #39 in the In Death series is on hold from the library and I'm not sure I will get it in time. I'm still looking.

Yep - it goes fast and I really like the narrator!

Review: I have forgotten how much I love this trilogy and how much I love Elizabeth Lowell's medieval books. Her writing is beautiful, her grasp of the time period is strong and her characters are everything you want in a knight in shining armor and damsel in distress.

What a fun series. I really like how all of the characters come back in each book to support the hero/heroine. Nine years ago, Kyle and Rylann met during her college days.
Unfortunately, the night of their first date, Kyle’s mom was killed in a car accident. The chemistry resurfaced when Kyle was asked to testify as a key witness in a high profile case that Rylann was prosecuting. I absolutely adored Kyle and Rylann. The chemistry between the two was undeniable, especially given that Kyle is an ex-con (no spoilers here!) and Rylann is an Assistant US Attorney.
Throughout the book, Rylann struggled with Kyle’s past. Although he is a billionaire’s son, the fact remained he did four months of jail time.
I listened to this one, and the narrator really made the story! This is a series that I will definitely continue!

is just too slow for me. I will change to book 3 of Parasol Protectorate:

Teams will roll on Friday (12/19) two times for two spots. No roll on 12/26. Both book's deadline will be 1/2 and then the game resumes it's normal schedule.
If you feel you won't be able to manage either holiday's rolls that's ok. Just let your team know and you can skip those rolls without penalizing the team.

Book: Blameless (Parasol Protectorate, #3)
Read: 12/18/14
Rating & Review: ★★★★.
Conall sent Alexia away so as she trapezes around Europe (Venice), she called her baby "infant-inconveniene" and she was known to the Templars as human specimen.
Great humor in this one. It was my favorite in the series

Review:
In the middle of Eve's wedding preparations, Eve is thrown into a new murder mystery, this time a super model. Eve is throwing her career on the line, as the prime suspect is her best friend, and Eve must do everything to clear her.
The In Death series have so far always been save choices. This one was no exception. I thought that the mystery in this one lacked a little in comparison to the first 2 books, but I really loved how the readers got a better insight in Eve's traumatic childhood, and I love how Roarke handles that. A 4 star read for me.

I've been so busy the last few weeks, so I've only had time to come on GR to post my reviews. I'm going on Christmas holidays today after work, so hopefully I'll have a little more time now.

Remember, I am rolling for 2 weeks. The deadline for both books is 1/2.
I know the next two weeks will be crazy - so check in when you can. And if you have any yummy goodies, please share!

I've read the series twice so far, Ezi. Once out of order as I found them at the library and once in order with Melissa. I love the series!

Book: Murder Game (Ghostwalkers, #7)
Read: 12/25/14
Rating & Review: ★★★★.
Kadan Montague was sent to find one of Dr. Whitneys adopted orphan girls, and as soon as Kadan saw Tansy, he knew she was his. Dr. Whitney created pairs for his nefarious breeding program, but someone else was after Tansy. Tansy's psychic talent including profiling and solving puzzles and she was needed to dolce a huge case. Some Ghostwalker was committing murders all over and they needed to figure out who and why before Washington sends soldiers to exterminate all Ghostwalkers.
While trying to keep Tansy safe, finding out who the murderers are and who's Tansy's parents are involved with Dr. Whitney, Kadan can't keep his hands off Tansy.
Will he be able to save Tansy from who ever is hunting her?
I still love this series. The author added a new antagonist and gave us some background on Peter Whitney. I loved Tansy and Kadan. They were hot but their talents complimented each other. I enjoyed having Nico, Gator and the other prior MCs make an appearance in this book.
I am confused as to how the older model Ghostwalkers are outsmarting the new group Whitney put together. I feel like ths newer ones shoukd be wiping the floor with old ones. Also, I'm ready to know the government rat. The Ghostwalkers are now fighting Whingney and someone high up in the US government. There will be a showdown soon.

For Week 5:

Sorry I've been very inactive, but with Christmas and me being ill i haven't had much time to get online. I'm planning on getting a lot of reading done the next couple of days, so I'll make sure to finish before Jan 2nd.

Review:Wow. I always forget how much I love this series until I read the next one and then I remember. Great writing, strong world building, characters you care about and an emotional resonance to the story that packs quite a punch. Perry and Garrett are two characters that have been around for awhile and in this book we finally get their story. It is ultimately quite satisfying, but there are some bumps along the way. Perry and Garrett have been friends and partners and each are scared to take it to the next level for different reasons and are keeping secrets from each other. Those secrets are what slow the story down somewhat, but once we get past them somewhat the action picks up.

I read the alternate Texas

I've had this on my TBR for a long time. It was an enjoyable read, and I will continue the series. Both the H/H were very strong characters, and 6 years ago in love or infatuation - the reader must decide which. Fastforward 6 years, Mitch has returned to Dallas for his best friend's wedding. Olivia and Mitch ended up together by chance due to a mishap at the wedding by Olivia. Olivia's little 6 year secret is uncovered, and Mitch demands that Olivia and their son travel to his ranch so that he can get to know his son better.
This is my first read by this author but certainly won't be my last. Ms. D'Alba makes her characters real and ones that you can sympathize with.

Book: Succubus Heat by Richelle Mead #4 Georgina Kincaid
Finished: 12/30/14
Rated: ★★★.5
Review:
In this Book Georgina is coming to terms with the loss of the one she loves Seth, as she watches him with another woman. Then as usual nothing is quiet in Seattle, suddenly the archdemon Jerome sends her to help a fellow archdemon in Vancouver, which leads to Jerome being summoned and all the lesser demons of Seattle losing their powers. Georgina then has to try and find Jerome, before a new arch demon is going to replace him.
When I'd just started to really like Geogina, she changes a little for the worse in this one. I know it's because of what happened to Seth, but it's still harder to relate to her. I still like her determination when it comes to save Seattle. I liked the flow of the story, but overall I think this one was a little worse than the other books. I hope it'll change in the next 2 books.

I'm not sure if it's the plot or the narrator, but I listened to this in less than a day - very unusual for me. This has been one of my favorite series that I've listened to in a long time. Julie James sure knows how to write a contemporary romance - I'm never disappointed.
Brooke Parker is a fierce and determined lawyer working for The Sterling Group, which is a fast growing food and beverage company owning several restaurants. Her job is her life. She has gone through 3 boyfriends in less than 18 months.
Cade Morgan is one of the top assistant US attorneys in Chicago who was a top football pick in college. Unfortunately, due to an injury, his football days were over.
Cade needs Brooke to help him take down a corrupt US Senator by planting a bug in one of Sterling's restaurants. He offered her a favor in return.
Cade and Brooke's chemistry sizzles from beginning to end. It is also refreshing how Ms. James includes some of our favorite characters from other books. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
