I was just perusing the master spreadsheet for all the teams and one thing I've noticed from the winning teams is that they all have tons of BR and BOM points and while we're doing pretty well with BRs I would like to encourage everyone to try and read one BOM each month to try and boost our score a little bit.

Erin - I took a look at the BOM for December and decided to read Ruby Red. It's not the type of book I normally read, but thought it would be fun to try something different!
Merissa - let me know what you think of it. I read it about 2 years ago and despite it having a lot of good reviews I just couldn't get into
Erin I noticed that too with the winning teams. I just know that I am a slow reader and would be behind unless I start the book early.
I just thought I'd mention it and maybe we'd get a little more from that. And BOM are also restricting in that if you've read them before or don't like any of the 3 options you're out of luck. For example I've previously read two of the three December books so my only chance to get points is the last, which luckily looks interesting.
Can you read a BOM after the month has passed? I was wondering if there were some that I liked that were already done if I could still count them.
I'm pretty sure that as long as you get someone else to read and discuss with you then you can get points for it
Yeah that is the problem. Finding someone to read a long with me. I should just try to get one of the BOM from the library and join in that way.
I've got multiple BR setup starting in December and into January (unfortunately my Nov was already spoke for when TT3 started!). I'm on the fence about the 3 BOM....I'm considering one of them, but need to see if I can get my hands on it as none of the 3 really appeal to me and I don't like spending $ on books if I don't have to!

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! Although I'd much rather have noodles or cotton candy than turkey!! Ick! Luckily all the sides are yummy!
I plan to get a lot of reading done in between my cooking for myself. I would love to finish at least one more book and make progress on all my other ones.I am doing 4 challenges right now and I have to read 2 books a week for one of them. Plus I still have to figure out that Hogwarts one.
Elaine, you have two books on your tower teams shelf with no read date, could you mark those as read so that they will show up on our point spreadsheet? Thanks!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!I hope it was a great one and you indulged in some sweet potato casserole, if not you missed out on one awesome side dish :)

the sweet potato casserole my uncle made should have been dessert, it was so good! the redskin mashed potatoes also got sucked up pretty quickly :)
Ashley wrote: "holy cheese you guys read a lot over Thanksgiving!! I feel like such a slacker :P lol"I only read Ashley because I have so many challenges going on and need to finish some of the books by 12/5. Plus I didn't have anywhere to go or any one coming over until dessert.

Singapore!
Pretty jealous of all the turkey that everyone seems to be eating ;)
You got it! And yes you can count it...you can even include any books you read back to Nov 8, so if you want to look back and get books you completed earlier this month, you can post those too! Just make sure to put all books onto your designated TT3 shelf.

What did you think about Me Before You?

I thought Me Before You was very long and sad/depressing. Although it had some great moments, i would have loved to read more of an memoir or autobiography verses fiction on assisted sucide. Altough I have no reference to anyone having to make this life choice, the story did not ring true to me. I felt the author tried to throw different scenarios in to fill the book. Nevertheless, I'm glad I read it. It's a story that pulled my heart. I won't forget the story and weary about reading other novels by the author.
...my thoughts. ...not in the review

I definitely agree it was an unforgettable story. The assisted suicide part of the story totally blindsided me when I found out about it
Ari, the last book you posted in the read book thread isn't on your tower teams shelf so it won't load to the spreadsheet, so if you could just add it to that shelf then we will be good to go!
