Anyone up for
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks?

I have to read it for a RL bookclub meeting on Dec 12, so early December start date?

And if you're not sure, this may convince you:

Cynthia (cynthiab) @ Zee, Kathryn, Tara Jo (and anyone else interested that I may have missed)

Are we tentatively planning to read Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor in late November and use the old BR thread?? I need to pencil it in or it'll get lost in the shuffle.

message 609: by Eni (new)

Eni | 2349 comments so i went on a reading synopsis rampage to figure out which books i would like to read from here.. i got a long list T_T i managed to short it to:

from Beth - Unlovable by Choice Jane Doe and Pretty Little Liars (Pretty Little Liars, #1) by Sara Shepard

from Anita - Secret Lives (Darke Academy, #1) by Gabriella Poole and The Calling (Darkness Rising, #2) by Kelley Armstrong (haven't read #1 though)

from Joi - Cujo by Stephen King , The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1) by Rick Riordan and Lock In by John Scalzi

from Trinity - Swipe (Swipe, #1) by Evan Angler , Touch (Denazen, #1) by Jus Accardo and Cursed by Jennifer L. Armentrout

from Kathryn - Asylum (Asylum, #1) by Madeleine Roux and John Dies at the End (John Dies at the End, #1) by David Wong .

Earlier November or anytime after the beginning of January work best for me, but i guess i can do anytime

I'm going to plan on reading it in early December. I definitely can't get it in for November but I can work it in somehow in early December. I'm good to use the existing thread so we can get involvement from others there. Does that work for you, Cynthia?

I'd like to plan on reading Pretty Little Liars (Pretty Little Liars, #1) by Sara Shepard . I won't be able to do it until January though, as November is full and December is quickly booking up! I've heard good things about it, so if it holds true I may be willing to continue with the series and maybe do one each month. Let me know if you want to setup something for January...if it turns out you start before then I can join when I get there.

Do you want to set a date now or wait till we get closer? I already have the book so I won't have to rely on getting it from library. I have another read that is starting Jan 3 so I could plan on a few days later, maybe Jan 7?

Also, not sure if you have the book already or not, but Amazon US has it free right now (other sites may too, not sure) so in case you need to pick it up...

message 618: by [deleted user] (new)

Does anyone want to read any of these in January with me?

Vicomte de Bragelonne (The D'Artagnan Romances, #3.1) by Alexandre Dumas Ten Years Later (The D'Artagnan Romances, #3.2) by Alexandre Dumas Louise de la Valliere by Alexandre Dumas The Man in the Iron Mask (The D'Artagnan Romances, #3) by Alexandre Dumas

I am about to start The Vicomte, but will push it off if someone wants to finish the Three Musketeers series with me starting from that point.

I say we can start chatting about anytime after Nov 8, as long as we agree to come back to the thread and interact with anyone that reads it later.

I've got about half my BR reading done for this week. I'm probably a little ahead of schedule. I just feel compelled to get the little reads out of the way, because I have some big fat non-BR reads planned.

TL;DR - Read & comment whenever and I'll be there.

lol no worries. I'm not that fast of a reader nowadays :|

Anita Reads | 1677 comments Ok. Good. How about we start the 6th? I know it's the middle of the week, but my weekend is booked with a party both Friday and Saturday, so I won't have much time to read.

message 626: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia (cynthiab) I love John Dies at the End (John Dies at the End, #1) by David Wong ! I read it almost 2 years ago, so I may pop in.

I hope no one judges the book by the movie. Book is so much better, to me.

Beth (jasonverlander) | 1567 comments Eni- I can do Unlovable beginning of November. Does the 5th work for you?

I've seen a couple here floating around that I may join, though I've probably already joined more in November and December than I can realistically handle. I'd like to jump in on the Daughter of Smoke & Bone discussion, but I'll be joining really late - probably January.

Also, I saw Lock In around too. If you are planning that for January, I'll join you. Otherwise, I may jump in on that discussion late too.

Sarah, I simply love your choice of books! I want to read them all but alas I am not sure of it being available. However, I can get Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Just read the blurb and it sounds really interesting. So will join you for that in January.

message 633: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 3273 comments Wow. Really? Well it is a chunkster. It will be a big read. I will probably read it while I am reading other books. I have also started this and just haven't got back to it like all year, started in January. So when do you want to start in January? I could let you catch up to me and chime in, then get started. I may read like 50 pages a day from it?

message 634: by Srividya (new)

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) | 1160 comments Yes Sarah. You have made me really curious about this book. I am okay with any date in January. I also read multiple books at the same time, so I am fine with 50 pages a day as it will help me be more focused on it. How many pages have you read already? If possible, I can start reading sometime in late December so that I will catch up with you in January and we can start off discussions immediately.

message 635: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 3273 comments Well I was hoping to start like January 8th, because I have two books I am starting the first, but I am only 250 pages in. So I will make the thread for then, but if you start posting earlier I will join in, it will help jog my memory.

message 636: by Srividya (new)

Srividya Vijapure (theinkedmermaid) | 1160 comments We can start on January 8th. Its suits me perfect as I have quite a few books that I need to finish before that (read challenges etc!). Will try and read the first 250 pages before that to help us finish this one.

Incidentally, I am also with you on Mudbound and that starts January 2nd, I believe!
