Mirielen de Arantes Corrêa (mirielenarantes) I'm Mirielen, I'm 23 and I'm a Arts & Design student with focus in cinema. I like to read about everything except horror books. I love comics, I'm addicted with tv shows and movies (Netflix is my church kkkk)... I'm trying to finish 13 books because a book bingo, I could eat Bis all day, I like to write but I don't have courage to show it to anyone.
I adore music, Jazz is my favorite genre (did you ever heard Holly Cole singing? She's amazing!) and I'm a weirdo here because of it. But I like rock and heavy metal too.
I got dumped because I'm "too nerd" and it was hard but I'm proud of myself.
English is not my first language so sorry any mistake and hiiii!

Ashley (ashleym99) Hello. My name is Ashley. I am 30 and I'm a lawyer. I have been practicing for 2 years now. I enjoy reading and read horror, mystery, and crime mainly but do try to read other things once in a while for something different. I tend to read more fiction and don't really enjoy nonfiction but try some every now and then.

Erin King (ekreadsbooks) | 5 comments Hello! My name is Erin. I'm 30 years old, and I grew up in the St Louis area. Most of my favorite books have relatable characters and happy endings, but I also enjoy more realistic stories. I like mystery, romance, historical fiction, fantasy.... I'll read basically anything as long as it's engaging. When I'm not reading, I enjoy watching movies, playing board games, crocheting, playing video games, and cooking with my husband (I like it better when he does most of the work and I just get to chop things and hand him stuff).

I'm so excited to be a part of this group! I've been on the website for a long time, but just discovered the group feature. I am looking forward to doing some reading challenges and bonding over loving and hating books together! :)

Welcome, Natasha! I know what you mean about a reading slump. Our Genre Challenge is great for getting out of your reading "comfort zone" and trying books you normally wouldn't have tried. It really has helped me in this area.

Natalie Belle Hey! My name is Natalie and I'm currently a senior in high school so I don't really know how much I'm going to be able to be active, but I love reading so hopefully I'll find some time to participate. My favorite genre is fantasy, and like many people, what first got me into reading was none other than Harry Potter. Although I love fantasy, I would basically read anything that seems interesting or engaging enough.

Mirielen de Arantes Corrêa (mirielenarantes) Thank you Heena and welcome Natalie 😁

That area is so beautiful! I have a friend that wants to bike the Katy Trail for her birthday in September, and I am thinking about joining her for that leg because of the scenery!

Erin King (ekreadsbooks) | 5 comments Dagny wrote: "Sounds exciting, Erin. Do you bike a lot already or will you need to get in shape?"

I will most definitely have to get in shape first! I enjoy biking, but it's been years since I've done it. I don't even own a bike right now! Most of my time on the Katy Trail (while not much) has been walking the last couple of years. Did you spend any time on it when you lived in the area?

message 369: by Bee (new)

Bee (beeisreading) Hello!

I'm an undergrad finishing up my degree in earth science with a focus on geology. That basically means I spend a lot of time looking at rocks, thinking about rocks, talking about rocks, hiking to look at neat rocks, and so on.

Beyond that I read a bit, and write a bit. My preferred genre to read and write is sci-fi, but I read a bit of everything!

Hi all!

I'm Ashley, and I've just joined Goodreads on the recommendation of some fellow book fans.

I'm a Canadian teacher (I teach at a Francophone school), and I basically spend all my spare time either planning, grading, or reading. I do like some specific television shows as well, but if given a choice between a book and a show, the choice is always the book!

I enjoy reading fiction (the less realistic, the better), and cookbooks (mostly due to the love of cooking, but the pictures are always so much nicer than I can accomplish!). I am a big fan of YA fiction, thankfully, so I find it easy to find interesting reads for my students.

I've already posted in the December reading challenge, so I hope I'll see comments from many of you soon!

Tiphanie Hey everyone! I'm Tiphanie. I am 21, I live in Houston, TX, and I am about to graduate with a degree in mortuary sciences but am currently working as an administrative assistant for an electric company. I love the horror and macabre more than I love myself, and have been an avid fan of reading since I was much younger. You can usually find me reading, playing video games, or watching horror movies. I love going to oddities shops and collecting wet specimens and old skeleton keys. That's basically the gist of me - I love being sociable so feel free to talk to me! Also would love to find someone to continually buddy read with!
