DeNeal (dtoews) I am so sad! I saw Go Ask Alice on the short reads list and remembered my older sisters having that book and not being allowed to read it. I finished it at 2am and when I went to see the total pages for posting? 214 pages!! I am still glad I read it but bummed I can count it! I will be double checking those page totals !

Roseena Peralta (roseenaperalta) Why does it say roseena did 0 out of 10. I been editing my first post. or am I suppose to create a new post for each book. I'm at 3

message 61: by Jaclyn (new)

Jaclyn Roseena, you need to create a new post with your updates...the moderators don't get notified when we just edit our original posts.

message 62: by Cassandra (new)

Cassandra | 5832 comments Roseena, you can update your original post - lots of participants it that way. You just need to also post a new one that says "Message #__ updated with a new book" or something to that effect, so that the challenge leader knows to go back and check your original post.

Does that make sense?

Charlotte Hi! I would like to join this challenge, if it's still possible!

I'm in for 3 books:
The Alchemist
The Great Gatsby
Love Story

I still have to read a few books for my 2014 challenge, and with this 'short' books I'll hope to accomplish that!

message 84: by Charlotte (last edited Nov 16, 2014 10:16AM) (new)

Charlotte Just finished the first one, Love Story (142 pages), I did enjoy it, although it didn't really capture me.

message 85: by Anne Hawn (new)

Anne Hawn Smith (hawnsmith) | 146 comments I'm almost finished with my 10. I read The Crucible by Arthur Miller , and Lord of the Flies by William Golding .

For my last book, I'm adding The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry .

message 86: by Anne Hawn (last edited Nov 17, 2014 04:38PM) (new)

Anne Hawn Smith (hawnsmith) | 146 comments I've just finished The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry which is my last book on this challenge. I still may see if I can finish the other books on my list. This was a really nice challenge as it allowed for a push to finish short novels in a limited amount of time. Instant success...well, not exactly instant, but you know what I mean.

I'm still going to try to read:

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck Heaven is for Real A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back by Todd Burpo The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

This book actually turned out to be 233 pages, but I read it specifically for this challenge, and it's significantly shorter than most books I read, so I'm counting it anyway. ;)
