I also enjoyed the audiobook. Just this week after 10+ years, a 4th book was released. It is clearly the appropriate time to start the series :)
I have a question...if I wanted to use Bloodlines by Richelle Mead as a book for the TBR category would that be all right even though I have already used 3 books from her Vampire Academy series for my series category? Since it's technically a different series, but not sure if there is a cap on how many from same author..

It's a different series and you're reading it for a different category. I didn't make any restrictions on how many times you could read a particular author - this is really just about getting through some books you've been meaning to read for quite some time :)
I finished my first book:
This is from my "One or more of any books in a series that you've started but not continued in over 6 months" list.
I updated my original post #40. I noticed on the list, it shows my original post as #46.

I enjoyed most of it. There were a couple of whiny teenager moments, but they were minimal.
Ashley wrote: "I enjoyed most of it. There were a couple of whiny teenager moments, but they were minimal."Good to know :) I'll have to play "Spot the whiny teenager moments" as I read the book, and then we can compare and contrast. Haha!

The book starts off with a huge teenage temper tantrum and then gets better, and there are a couple of "my mother obviously doesn't know what she's talking about" even though she went through the same thing and knows exactly what she's talking about moments. That really gets under my skin.
Finished my 2nd,
from my TBR list. I've had it forever and just decided I wouldn't really like it. Glad I finally read it, because it was better than I expected.

I thought it was ok (probably because of those whiney teenager moments). The first book is also a lot of set up for the other two books. I really enjoyed the other two way more than the first.
Finished
I've owned this since last summer. It was a YA Sync download and it's very well researched and written but not really a happy story.I updated post #32 but was originally #37. Did 5 early posts really get deleted?
Just finished my first book:
This counts for my "One or more of any books in a series that you've started but not continued in over 6 months (Prior to 4/1/2014). It can be an ongoing or a completed book series."
I have updated my original post (#41).
Anna wrote: "I updated post #32 but was originally #37. Did 5 early posts really get deleted?"Honestly, I have no idea what happened there. I think it's more likely that I just wrote down the wrong number. Ha! (But I adjusted my post to reflect that you're #32).
You didn't put down the wrong number. My last update has me updating #37. And in post 2, Rea and Sandra are both listed as #24 and Hillary and Kim are both listed as #40. The numbering went awry somewhere.
I am going to try and join in on this Challenge =)My List to choose from:
<--Which I know doesn't count cause it's too short.
Finished:
Series I havent finished/read in more than 6 months
If I have something that doesn't qualify, please let me know =)
I finished my fourth book yesterday!
has been on my TBR since 10/7/12!I really need to get on those series books now...
{Post #43}

But thanks much for the alert :) I'm gonna just leave everything as is and we'll just figure it out as we go. *shrug*

Angie wrote: "I finished my fourth book yesterday!

I have a question about the series books. There's a few that I started well over 6 months ago, but never finished. I actually want to reread the books I did get to first before continuing. If I reread those, would that void the 6 month requirement and then the books I hadn't read wouldn't count? Or can I still read the later books for the challenge, since I originally started the series over 6 months ago? Sorry if that's confusing.
Angie wrote: "I have a question about the series books. There's a few that I started well over 6 months ago, but never finished. I actually want to reread the books I did get to first before continuing. If I rer..."Ha! I love the thoughtfulness of this question.
And the answer is, No problem! Obviously, the re-reads of the originals themselves wouldn't count towards the challenge, but the later series books would (since the starting books in the series were previously read over 6 months ago).

Thank you Grem :)

I do miss the interaction and preparation of setting up the Challenges, but it can get very busy too. Grem is doing a great job!
Finished
, which has been on my kindle since October 2013. Damn pesky library books keep snagging my attention.6/6 is done, so I guess I'll shoot for 12. I have a LOT of TBR I need to catch up on.
Updated post #7.
Finished my second,
for the series category. I read the first book in November 2013. Updated post #6.

Congratulations, Laurel! Clearly this is a challenge for you! Go for gold!
Thanks Grem! It's been wonderful motivation to get to those things that've been sitting on my TBR for forever and a day.
Now, that I've figured out at least two series I want to get to, I'm going for the 12 book medal! With that said, I finished one more book...
which has been on my TBR since 6/16/13. It's my first adult pick.{Post #43}
Angie wrote: "Now, that I've figured out at least two series I want to get to, I'm going for the 12 book medal!"Go for it, Angie!!!
I'm going to go for the 12 book/gold-medal, as well (even though I haven't even completed my first one for this challenge, yet). BUT! I have high hopes for my reading schedule once the weather gets colder and the holidays kick in (meaning, vacation days).
Laurel wrote: "Thanks Grem! It's been wonderful motivation to get to those things that've been sitting on my TBR for forever and a day."Right?! It's SO SATISFYING!
It's only 4 books a month, to shoot for 12.My problem is that lately I'm only reading about 4 books a month total right now.
Finished 7/12
from my TBR.I was so excited for this one . . . and then it crumbled—no, trembled—all around me. I finished this one out of spite, and for the challenge too. The Mary Sue of a heroine was just about the most frustrating individual on the planet, and I hope she's trembling and quivering and shaking all the time because of her vengeful hellfire, because otherwise I'm pretty certain she has Parkinson's.
Okay, rant over. Post #7 updated.
Finished book #1 of my challenge, a book that I've owned for >6 months
(10/22) My original post # is 9. :D
