Challenge 4 of 2014: Finish What You Started!
Hi, sorry I haven't been updating more consistently, but I've finished four so far!Series
TBR
(Post #45)
Finished #4
from a series I started but have not finished in at least 6 monthsIt reminded me a lot like Finnikin of the Rock :)
I've finished my 5th book
Its a series I haven't read in over 6 months and I have now read at least one from each category.
Updated post #32
I finished #5 for a book that has been in my posession over 6 months
I noticed you just have me down as 3 already - the last was from a series I already started
I thought I just finished a book for this and when I went to mark it complete I noticed I didn't add it to my TBR shelf til July! Darn! I'd wanted to read it longer but it wasn't on the list.Oh well I still have time!

Ah well, at least I'm getting a lot of reading done :)

CONGRATULATIONS Kdbrand! If you stay on the same track, you could have a Gold medal by the end of December :)

That was actually one of the first books I got on Kindle. - I was resistant to e-readers for sooo long but now I prefer it because I can adjust the font and do not need good lighting. I was in the mood for a zombie book and that and the sequel did the trick.
I finished my third book:
This is from my "One or more of the books that have been on your TBR (To Be Read) Goodreads bookshelf for 6 months or more" list.
I updated my original post #40.

Thanks Gremlin! This challenge is good for me--I've already started on #7.

Diane, I resisted e-readers for a long time as well. Now I love my Kindle app, especially with all the good deals on books that group members share!
I have taken much more advantage on the Kindle app and Amazon's buy with one click option, than I could read in a year. I always have my phone or lap top near so if I am at work with some spare time (hardly ever happens)I pick up reading. If the kids want to stop and play at the park I use my phone app. to read. I will never be with out because there are so many on it now. Before I sometimes had to wait with nothing to read days or a week until I got to the library or a bookstore.
Finished my fourth book:
. It's from a series that I started, but haven't continued for 6+ months. It was good, but I didn't really remember what happened in the previous two books, so I had to re-read those first. Anybody else having that problem?
Also this is a middle-grade, non-YA book. Wish it wasn't. Then I could read
next. Well, maybe I'll get 6 done and then I can read it later for this challenge. :)Updated Original Post#14
I'm having that problem Amber!! i'm about 55% in to
but it's been hard since I almost didn't read at all for almost a year. My own fault I know :\
I feel like I am failing at this challenge compared to how I usually am with the challenges. I blame all the new books that came out in October and November that I wanted to read. Hopefully with the holidays coming up I can meet my goal of 12 books!
Finished book #2 of my challenge, a book that's been on my TBR for >6 months
(11/18) My original post # is 9. :D
Finished my 6th!

Midway through November and you've already made it to bronze. Keep it up, Kdbrand! I'm living vicariously through your victories. :)

Oh I'll get at least bronze but I am going to try for better!
I read
(post #11) which I've owned for two years. I've seen this categorized as YA and as middle grade. If it needs to be my one non YA books that's fine.
Finished book 9:
(adult) from my physical shelf. I think I've had this thing since I was stationed in Cherry Point—it was time to read it, mostly so I could justify donating it to some hapless library (mwahahahaha). If you find this in a bookstore . . . run, don't walk, RUN away. Do not be fooled by the pretty horse on the cover.
Finished my third book for the challenge!
(11/23) Series not continued > six months My original post #9 is updated. :D
Finished #2 and #3. Also updated in post #26.
(middle grade) 11/10 - on goodreads TBR for about 2 years (category 2)
11/20 - owned for about a year (category 3)

Thanks I'll check those out
Ashley wrote: "I read

(The Chicago Library system classifies it as Elementary, even).
That aside - CONGRATULATIONS, Ashley! You're now an official "finisher" in this challenge. You can take a break - or you can keep up the race and score a medal! :)
