Challenge 4 of 2014: Finish What You Started!

Series

TBR

It reminded me a lot like Finnikin of the Rock :)

Its a series I haven't read in over 6 months and I have now read at least one from each category.

Oh well I still have time!

That same thing has happened to me! TWICE!
Ah well, at least I'm getting a lot of reading done :)

CONGRATULATIONS Kdbrand! If you stay on the same track, you could have a Gold medal by the end of December :)

That was actually one of the first books I got on Kindle. - I was resistant to e-readers for sooo long but now I prefer it because I can adjust the font and do not need good lighting. I was in the mood for a zombie book and that and the sequel did the trick.

This is from my "One or more of the books that have been on your TBR (To Be Read) Goodreads bookshelf for 6 months or more" list.
I updated my original post #40.

Diane, I resisted e-readers for a long time as well. Now I love my Kindle app, especially with all the good deals on books that group members share!

use my phone app. to read. I will never be with out because there are so many on it now. Before I sometimes had to wait with nothing to read days or a week until I got to the library or a bookstore.

It was good, but I didn't really remember what happened in the previous two books, so I had to re-read those first. Anybody else having that problem?
Also this is a middle-grade, non-YA book. Wish it wasn't. Then I could read

Midway through November and you've already made it to bronze. Keep it up, Kdbrand! I'm living vicariously through your victories. :)

I think I've had this thing since I was stationed in Cherry Point—it was time to read it, mostly so I could justify donating it to some hapless library (mwahahahaha). If you find this in a bookstore . . . run, don't walk, RUN away. Do not be fooled by the pretty horse on the cover.

How was Princess Academy? I am hoping to find something to draw my 5th grader in.

I liked it. Definitely appropriate for a fifth grader. When I was around that age I also liked Tamora Pierce's books and still do. Her Emelan series would be perfect for a fifth grader.

Thanks I'll check those out

While a deep and meaningful book for any age, I'm going to count A Monster Calls as your Non-YA. (The Chicago Library system classifies it as Elementary, even).
That aside - CONGRATULATIONS, Ashley! You're now an official "finisher" in this challenge. You can take a break - or you can keep up the race and score a medal! :)
