Finished my 3rd book,
for the owned category. Its been on my physical bookshelf since 2012. Updated post #6.
Finally finished one of my own, on my lunch break. It's been on my TBR for quite some time.
Now I have to sit around and be sad that I finished it. :P
Diane wrote: "I just put that one on my TBR list - what did you think?"I really loved it (you know - in that way in which you are excited to pick up the book again each time you get a chance to?). I will confess that I had some issues/annoyance with a few bits at the end - but it was still very much a worthwhile read.
Diane wrote: "Nice I will get to it eventually - my list is long."Ha! You and me both, Diane. You and me, both!

Haha . . . I'm good! This challenge has been great incentive to get that TBR list down quite a bit. It's helping put some oompf in my procrastinating self.

I do the same thing (and it makes sense to not add things to the list until you KNOW you want to read them). But man - it is sometimes ridiculously painful to read books that don't fall into challenge parameters. Haha!

"I enjoyed it. The characters felt very real. I want more books with these characters but I'm also glad she didn't force it into a series.
I finished my second book:
This is from my "One or more of any books in a series that you've started but not continued in over 6 months" list.
I updated my original post #40.
Kdbrand wrote: "Finished #4
, physically owned copy since Oct 2013.Updated post #10."
Also, Kdbrand, if you're interested in starting the next in the series (Blue Lily, Lily Blue), Anna and I are starting a buddy read of it tonight! To be discussed in the PNR section, under Maggie Stievater :)
Finished my third a few days ago and forgot to add. From a series I haven't continued in 6 months
Also, I updated post #42, you have me as #5 and #48...but I'm # 42 lol
I finished my sixth book:
! This is my first series book. I read the first one way back on 10/4/11! Wow!Onwards to the next level! :D
Finished my 4th
. This has been on my physical bookshelf since 2012. It is a non-YA book. I've updated post #6.
I finished book #7!
which I've owned since last February! It's also my second non-YA title, as it's NA.{Updated Post #43. You have me listed as 49 though.}
Finished my 4th
I want to put it under "Series I haven't read in 6 months" Is that ok even though I did read this series just recently for THIS challenge? Is it ok to read 2 from one series?
If not i guess it can still qualify for having been on my physical shelf for so long.
FINALLY finished my third:
This has been on my physical bookshelf for years. And, you know what? It was good - don't know why I waited so long. I look forward to reading the next one (which sadly won't count for this challenge, so it must wait).
On a side note, I have been SO SLOW this challenge. I'm not sure that I'll even finish the 6.
Updated original post #14.
Angie wrote: "{Updated Post #43. You have me listed as 49 though.}"Yeah, there was someone who was originally part of the challenge that later deleted all of their posts - so sadly much of the numbering is off. Ha!
At some point, I'll do a numbering edit and get things back in-line! :) But your number is fixed, in the meantime.

Sure thing, Casey! So long as you'd originally stopped reading the series more than 6 months ago, it's totally okay to read another one in the same series (but no more than 3 books in the same series for this challenge).
Amber wrote: "On a side note, I have been SO SLOW this challenge. I'm not sure that I'll even finish the 6."What are you saying, Amber? You're ahead of the game! You've finished half the challenge in a little over a month. You've basically got another 2 months to finish 3 more :)
I, on the other hand, should really get my butt in gear. Only 1 completed so far (though I'm well on my way into another one). I'm hanging my hopes on Thanksgiving vacay :)
This challenge has been so good for me. I have hardly read anything since May (life was out of hand) and it has really brought me back. I am in the middle of #4 and with Thanks giving and Christmas break I might actually be able to get 12 in. (that is ambitious for me given my track record over the last 6 months)Anyway the benefits of reading have been reduced stress because I have a bit of an escape. Better sleep because my mind can be focused on the story instead of various other crap. A sense of accomplishment to work on my huge TBR list and personal fulfillment because I am doing something for me - only me- not because I have to but because I want to. This is better than therapy!
Awww, Diane!!! That warms my heart so much! Reading is so necessary to my life and you've gone and expressed so many of the reasons why. Escapism while keeping your mind engaged. It's delightful. And I'm so glad this challenge has brought you back to that place. GO FOR TWELVE!!!
I have finished book #8:
. This has been on my TBR for 2 years! I'm so glad it was the group read or else it might have stayed there for another 2 years. :P{Updated post #43}
Gremlin wrote: What are you saying, Amber? You're ahead of the game! You've finished half the challeng..."Aw, thanks, Gremlin! To be fair, when I started that post, I thought I was only on my second. I didn't realize I was on the third until I went to update my previous post.
And, I guess that book especially felt slow because it took me a month to read it, which is WAY longer than usual.
But, hopefully, I'll be able to pick up the pace and get the next 3 (or 9?) done by the end of the year.
Finished
11/4 - owned for over 2 years...edit: I somehow missed that we couldn't read any books published after April 2014. The book I read for #1 and posted about in post #94 was published in September. I've updated my original post to remove the 2014 books.
Natalie wrote: "Finished #2 #1. Also updated in post #26

Natalie, you're honesty is greatly appreciated (especially since I clearly didn't catch the error, either). You're a gem!

Also, congrats on being the first person to have already reached Bronze! Go for Gold! You're well on your way :) (Basically, you've already lapped me. Ha!)

Yeah, it was great! I'm reading the sequel now! :D
Woo! I'm definitely trying for gold!
Finished my first book
(on your TBR Goodreads bookshelf for 6 months or more)
updated my original post #55
Finished my second book. This one I've physically had for a long time.
I also have the next two in the series, so I might just keep reading them. Took me a long time to get into the first one, but the ending was great.
