Well, if you're feeling like you're running behind on your goals, just get Laurel to read some *for* you. That gal is on reading fire! :D

Now I have to sit around and be sad that I finished it. :P

I really loved it (you know - in that way in which you are excited to pick up the book again each time you get a chance to?). I will confess that I had some issues/annoyance with a few bits at the end - but it was still very much a worthwhile read.

Ha! You and me both, Diane. You and me, both!

Haha . . . I'm good! This challenge has been great incentive to get that TBR list down quite a bit. It's helping put some oompf in my procrastinating self.

Both have been on my TBR list since 2013.

Updated in post #24.

I feel you, Sandra! I do the same thing (and it makes sense to not add things to the list until you KNOW you want to read them). But man - it is sometimes ridiculously painful to read books that don't fall into challenge parameters. Haha!

I enjoyed it. The characters felt very real. I want more books with these characters but I'm also glad she didn't force it into a series.

This is from my "One or more of any books in a series that you've started but not continued in over 6 months" list.
I updated my original post #40.

Updated post #10."
Also, Kdbrand, if you're interested in starting the next in the series (Blue Lily, Lily Blue), Anna and I are starting a buddy read of it tonight! To be discussed in the PNR section, under Maggie Stievater :)

Onwards to the next level! :D

{Updated Post #43. You have me listed as 49 though.}

I want to put it under "Series I haven't read in 6 months" Is that ok even though I did read this series just recently for THIS challenge? Is it ok to read 2 from one series?
If not i guess it can still qualify for having been on my physical shelf for so long.

This has been on my physical bookshelf for years. And, you know what? It was good - don't know why I waited so long. I look forward to reading the next one (which sadly won't count for this challenge, so it must wait).
On a side note, I have been SO SLOW this challenge. I'm not sure that I'll even finish the 6.
Updated original post #14.

Yeah, there was someone who was originally part of the challenge that later deleted all of their posts - so sadly much of the numbering is off. Ha!
At some point, I'll do a numbering edit and get things back in-line! :) But your number is fixed, in the meantime.

Sure thing, Casey! So long as you'd originally stopped reading the series more than 6 months ago, it's totally okay to read another one in the same series (but no more than 3 books in the same series for this challenge).

What are you saying, Amber? You're ahead of the game! You've finished half the challenge in a little over a month. You've basically got another 2 months to finish 3 more :)
I, on the other hand, should really get my butt in gear. Only 1 completed so far (though I'm well on my way into another one). I'm hanging my hopes on Thanksgiving vacay :)

Anyway the benefits of reading have been reduced stress because I have a bit of an escape. Better sleep because my mind can be focused on the story instead of various other crap. A sense of accomplishment to work on my huge TBR list and personal fulfillment because I am doing something for me - only me- not because I have to but because I want to. This is better than therapy!

And I'm so glad this challenge has brought you back to that place. GO FOR TWELVE!!!

{Updated post #43}

Aw, thanks, Gremlin! To be fair, when I started that post, I thought I was only on my second. I didn't realize I was on the third until I went to update my previous post.
And, I guess that book especially felt slow because it took me a month to read it, which is WAY longer than usual.
But, hopefully, I'll be able to pick up the pace and get the next 3 (or 9?) done by the end of the year.

edit: I somehow missed that we couldn't read any books published after April 2014. The book I read for #1 and posted about in post #94 was published in September. I've updated my original post to remove the 2014 books.

Natalie, you're honesty is greatly appreciated (especially since I clearly didn't catch the error, either). You're a gem!

Did you enjoy the book, Angie?
Also, congrats on being the first person to have already reached Bronze! Go for Gold! You're well on your way :) (Basically, you've already lapped me. Ha!)

Yeah, it was great! I'm reading the sequel now! :D
Woo! I'm definitely trying for gold!
