Question of the Day
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What has been the most ridiculous book you've read & why?"I've mentioned it before, and i'll say it again The Play's the Thing. You can read my review if you want my full thoughts lol
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If we were all forced to wear a warning label, what would yours say?""warning: will confront you with neurodivergent thoughts and hypothetical situations at any given moment.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: For #TravelThursday, name 3 places you'd love to travel to."1. England
2. France
3. Australia
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Are there any upcoming movie releases that you're looking forward to?"unfortunately, no.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Are there any upcoming movie releases that you're looking forward to?"I don't think so as far as upcoming releases. I went and watched Where the Crawdads Sing, out of curiosity, and absolutely hated it.
So very many! Present Tense by Pearl Jam is one I would recommend, as the chorus lyrics are profound IMO:You can spend your time alone redigesting past regrets, oh
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who can't forgive yourself, oh
Makes much more sense to live in the present tense
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What song do you think everybody should listen to?"Must've Done Something Right by Relient K. The lyrics are so sweet but the tune is so catchy and quirky. It always lifts my spirits up!
"If anyone can make me a better person, you could! All I gotta say is I must've done something good. Came along one day and you rearranged my life! All I gotta say is I Must've Done Something Right, I Must've Done Something Right!"
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: Name a game that you played outside as a child, that kids these days don't play anymore."My cousins and I had a ton of pretend games we'd play outside down at our grandparent's house.
I haven't visited many places. There's a lookout area about 30 minutes away from my hometown, and it's one of the prettiest views I've seen. I could just sit up there all day and watch the water.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the most beautiful place you've ever been?"I've not visited many places either. The drive into Cades Cove national park in Townsend, TN is beautiful to me. The weather cools off the further into the mountains you get, the road follows a beautiful wide, crystal clear creek full of multi color rocks, the trees cast shadows and the stone tunnels you drive through are pretty picturesque. The entire park is gorgeous, but I always loved the drive in the most.
The sisters meeting at the end of The Joy Luck Club. Katie and Hubbell’s running into each other at the end of The Way We Were.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your favorite smell in the world?"I have a candle at home that's called Lovespell that I bought from a local shop in my hometown, and I haven't burnt it yet because I just love it too much.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What scene in a movie makes you cry every time you watch it?"its from Lincoln (2012) with Daniel Day Lewis. The end of the movie, in the final courtroom scene amongst the entire house of representatives, where they vote on the 13th amendment. Two couriers hired by Lincoln fill the balcony with black men and women as the congressmen look on, with mixed emotions of shock, anger and guilt. Tim Blake Nelson's character, Richard Schell, turns to them and says, "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome, to your House."
The entire movie makes me cry and fist pump tbh, but this scene is so powerful by itself.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: We are officially in the 'ber months! Happy September! What's on your TBR for this month?"My Heart is a Chainsaw by Stephen Graham Jones
Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
Slewfoot: A Tale of Bewitchery by Brom
Anybody Home? by Michael J. Seidlinger
There are a lot of genres I don't often pick up, so this list will probably change as the month goes on.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: We are officially in the 'ber months! Happy September! What's on your TBR for this month?"flowers for algernon by daniel keyes, frankenstein by mary shelley, the liminal zone by junji ito, the only good indians by stephen graham jones, and before the coffee gets cold by toshikazu kawaguchi

Don't ask me why I thought this would be a good book to read. It was ridiculous and awful, and I don't recommend it at all. Morally, I couldn't recommend it. The title pretty much tells you all you need to know. 2020 was a year of poor reading choices for me LOL.
