Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim likewise was amazed. Not in the greedy sort away that some people would react but in that proud way that someone encouraging a friend would respond. “I hope her days work.“ Her smile still wide as she made sure her bags were still with her as she moved with him to head back home. “Do you ever consider singing professionally or at least getting paid to sing inside a club or something?“ She was testing the waters asking something related to but not necessarily her real plan

Shade was just so taken aback any thoughts of greed were the furthest from his mind. He was never the greedy sort after all, more modest. He looked to her and raised his brows skyward at her question. “Good lord, no.” He said it not in a way that the idea made him aghast more so that nothing of the sort had ever crossed his mind. “I never thought I was really... good. It was just a kind of... pass time.” He added weakly with a shrug. “Something I did randomly on the fly. And whenever my mother or friends would catch me they’d say I was good, or tease me a little.” He sniffed in amusement. “I thought they were just saying it...”

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim sugar head from side to side. “Well unless you think a bunch of strangers willing to part with money or just saying it, you can’t deny that the verdict is in and you are very talented. I know I already said that sorry.“ She was now repeating herself. “And that song. It was really powerful like I felt so strongly inside me.“ She was just expressing what she felt though immediately start feeling a little bit self-conscious about saying that, not sure if she should have though, Also not really sure why she was embarrassed.

Shade pursed his lips to try and stifle his smile but it still peeked through. “I... guess...” he supposed he couldn’t argue with that. They had obviously liked his singing at least somewhat. He smiled more as she mentioned how she’d liked the song. “Yeah? Thanks. It kind of just came to me in the moment. It’s a song I’ve always been fond of though.” His light expression faded a little. “I guess it was... one I occasionally thought about in... that place. Running through the lyrics sometimes helped me remember my family, get through the days. And help Hush.” He admitted, his voice soft and restrained.

message 355: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim smiled sadly. “I get it. I had a song or two like that myself. They were what I hummed, sang or just thought in my head to remind me things wouldn’t always be bad.” She looked ahead, still gripping the gift bag handles as they passed the diner.

“Hey!” A prissy petite little blond rushed out the door, dressed as a waitress. “There you are...” Her scowl faltered when she saw the guy with her. “Answer your texts.” She snarled and then hurried back inside.

Kim shook her head, sighed heavily and moved to continue on.

Shade hummed and nodded. “Yeah... Hey sorry I know you told me I should probably lay low but I wanted to do something to help rather than just sit around the house mooching off of you all the time I wanted to help bring some money in.” He said, smiling faintly.

He then looked on in surprise as the girl appeared from the diner and told Kim quite demandingly to answer her texts. As the girl disappeared and he heard Kim’s sigh he eyed her questioningly. “Something wrong?” He asked her softly.

message 357: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim would’ve said something along the lines of thank you or you didn’t have to do that but I really appreciated or something like that is so kind and sweet of you. However the little incident occurred and she didn’t have any words for him anymore at least until he asked the question. “Just a troubled fellow employee who I don’t get along with no big deal. Plenty of rude people in America wouldn’t expect England to be any different.“ She chuckled trying to make light of the situation as if it really was no big deal but the fact was was annoying and rude and had she been in America she would’ve followed certain steps to make sure the employee got reprimanded or fired the way she kept acting. However with a job is delicate situation as she had right now she wasn’t willing to rock the boat so to speak.

Shade frowned a little but he took it at Kim’s word, huffing and looking in the direction the girl had left before just leaving it. “Guess you get rude people wherever you go.” He murmured. And there were people who were worse than rude... “Off to anywhere else or are we heading back to yours?” He asked. Of course he wasn’t going to call it home since it wasn’t technically his home, but it’d be a lie to say he didn’t almost call it that. It was starting to feel like a safe place to him, and that was as good as anything.

message 359: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim smiled at that comment and nodded may be a little too eagerly. “Oh trust me, if you wanna know rude people either work as a waitress or in retail.” She gave a dramatic role of the eyes but grinned warmly hoping To keep the situation light. “Yeah let’s get back to the house, I didn’t mean to stay out this long. Besides I have a little bit of a surprise.” That’s all she said before she quickly tried to turn away and start walking not wanting him to see the expression on her face because she was really bad and having a poker face, most of the time.

((Heeeeeey I work in retail! XD Retail is hard okay usually it’s the customers that are rude to US! XD))

Shade broke into laughter at Kim’s comment and then looked at her amusedly. “And yet then we have you. The person who has to be the most complete opposite to rude to ever exist.” He said with a smile. He nodded as she head it would be good to hear back to hers and then he raised a brow as she mentioned she had a surprise and then walked ahead. He noticed the bags she was holding and his curiosity only peaked. “Alright...” He murmured half to himself as he caught up to her.

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((Haha, I worked in retail too, and yes, but I also know a few businesses notorious for really rude and bad employees. Mean as snakes! XD ))

Kim duct her head between her shoulders at that comment. “I don’t know about that, wasn’t exactly polite to the guys in the alleyway.“ She was teasing again but it’s all good to act like this at least every now and then. “But my time in the police academy taught me a lot about respect and discipline. Some of them are even asked military and I talked about the importance Love the old golden rule do onto others as you would have them do unto you. You reap what you sow. If you’re rude and mean everyone that’s what you’re going to get back. Unfortunately people like that always get their comeuppance.” She didn’t say it in a spiteful way but actually kind of sad. She truly didn’t wish pain or suffering on anyone, sometimes it was unavoidable especially when someone was stubborn and unwilling to look be on themselves.

She chuckled at his obviously confused and probably curious response to her statement having a little more balance in her step now the green growing wider and wider and she quick and her pace back to the flat.

Shade chuckled again at her comment about the guys in the alleyway. “Yeah but totally different. That’s what they deserved!” He said firmly. He smiled at her little speech about what the police academy taught her and her motto of treat others how you would like to be treated basically. “Yeah if only more people in the world had that mindset...” Shade reminisced. He noticed the bounce in her step and her grin as they went and he only grew more curious, feeling his own lips tug into a smirk as they returned to the apartment building.

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) With the way Kim was acting now though she really hope they like their gift because it would be this major let down if they didn’t. However it wouldn’t be the end of the world she have the receipt still though she didn’t intend to show them if they liked it. She didn’t need them knowing how much she spent. Though she realized only one of them had she spent really the most time and energy on and that was the outfit for Shade. She felt a nervous quiver ripple through her as they reach the door and went inside she stepped out of the way so he could come in and she could approach them both with their bags extending one out to each of them. “A gift, to commemorate us meeting. And for making this place feel more like home than it ever has.“ Her face was beet red, on second thought beets were envious of this color of her face. She would be careful about handing especially to hush hoping he would be willing to just extend his hands out and receive the bag wouldn’t be too heavy thankfully unlike the other one.

Shade nodded thanks to Kim as he strode in, after all his hands were kind of full holding the guitar in one hand and the pot of his earnings in the other. He had barely managed to sit down on the sofa where Hush was when Kim announced she was bearing gifts and he looked up with a somewhat comical expression of surprise that only just turned into more shock at her words. "What...?" Shade stared at the bags and then a breathy laugh escaped him. "Kim you didn't have to... do that." He was beyond surprised now, almost awestruck. It was her words that had the most effect, making it seem like a home? And why was Kim's face so red? He had to eye her as he reached out to hesitantly take the bag since she was likely insistent about it.

Meanwhile Hush looked up from his book and cocked his head questioningly before eyeing the bag Kim offered his way. His gaze darted up at her warily but he did end up hesitantly reaching and taking the bag, casting another glance at Kim as he pulled it close to him. And then he managed the faintest smile to convey his silent thanks.

((Haha got on to realise you changed it! XD))

message 369: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim gave a gentle smile to Hush, as he took the bag. And then she said more to both of them. “And I wouldn’t have to but I wanted to. I hope you like them if you don’t it’s Okay. I have the receipts and I won’t be offended if you want to return them.“ She said it and it was true she wouldn’t be offended though she would be disappointed.

She had spent a lot of time and energy picking out the gifts and it would make her a little sad that she had failed and picking something they would like. Shouldn’t expect them to be perfect gifts or fits. But she hoped they would both at least like it enough to want to keep them. However as in all things it really was the thought that counted so hopefully they could see what she meant by the action more than the contents. She waited expectantly for them to start opening their gifts and reveal it was inside. Shade of course had the heavier one that only containing the clothing in the book which was quite thick and full of beautiful laminated pictures which made it heavier of course. While Hush’s was significantly lighter but had multiple things inside one of them being that little electronic handheld game it didn’t require having batteries as it had a rechargeable battery built-in.

Shade would have felt terrible for doing that, even if he didn’t like it for some reason he probably would have just said he did for not wanting to hurt Kim’s feelings, that was perhaps until he saw how much she spent and then just say that he couldn’t bear the fact she’d spent that amount. Shade raised his brows at how heavy his felt before looking inside and staring at the contents. He reached in and pulled out the book first, widening his eyes. It was a book on Argentina. His home. As he flipped through the pages he found it was full of pictures of the scenery of the country, the people, towns and many other things. He felt a pang in his chest at one particular picture. A town, the town, the last place he’d been with the circus and his family before they’d taken him. It was the place he’d been taken. Shade’s muscles went a little taut and a prickling feeling filled his eyes. He shook his head and rapidly blinked, latching on to the first thought he could as he looked up at Kim. “Are you trying to make me homesick?” He said to her but his tone was light and joking. Maybe a little too forced though... He huffed a laugh to try and add to it and glanced back at the book. “The likeness is incredible...”

Meanwhile Hush opened his to reveal the gaming console (right?). He stared at in bewilderment though, not seeming to know what it was. He turned it this way and that to study it. Clearly he’d never seen one of these devices before. Perhaps that was saying something... He glanced up questioningly at Kim but also looked at Shade when he spoke.

message 371: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim was on pins and needle’s and then when he said that even though he was joking she couldn’t help having her heart lurching to her throat. “I well-“ she cleared her throat softly. “I know you can’t be home right now, so I thought maybe this would be the next best thing. Maybe you could also teach me a little bit about it.” She offered and meek smile, trying to tell if he was actually happy with her angry or if she had done bad and made him feel bad. It was a good thing he tried to hide it because had she known she brought him nearly to the verge of tears in a sad way she would’ve felt horrible and sadly wanted to run and hide somewhere if that happened. It wasn’t the best of instincts but it was what she felt, when she just couldn’t deal with things.

Kim was grateful for the distraction to look at Hush. “ it’s a handheld video game. There’s a little cartridges inside the back. It has 100 classic books so that you can carry them with you without all the weight.“ She laughed so much awkwardly wondering if she just totally blew it with both of them. “And then it has puzzle games...” remind what completely blank for the third thing it did and she ended up giving a feeble. “And something else...” oh man, maybe she shouldn’t of done this. The gifts did not seem to be going over well at all!

Shade looked up, swallowing the negative feelings down and smiling at Kim at her suggestion. “Really...? That’s... so thoughtful of you...” He said softly, words truly genuine. He sniffed lightly and smiled more. “Teach you a little bit about it? Yeah I guess that sounds good.” To focus on the ally memories, that was truly what he needed. “Thank you.” He said to Kim, truly meaning it.

Hush glanced back at the thing as she explained what it was and he seemed to light up at the mention of books. Of course such a quiet one as him liked to lose himself in books. Shade in turn grinned and leaned over to have a look. “That sounds awesome huh bud?”
Hush smiled seemingly a little embarrassedly as he glanced back at Kim.
Shade chuckled and looked back to her. “I think you may have to show him how to use it a bit though by the looks.” He said lightly.

As he went to move his bag he then realised there was something else in there and peered in with a surprised frown. “What’s this? Something else?!” He exclaimed.

message 373: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim smiled, her face turning a bright shade of red. “You’re welcome.” All the weight she felt suddenly vanished, and then Hush even looked excited. “Yeah we can figure it out together. I’ve never had one but the instructions are in there too and it has a rechargeable battery so we need to plug it in so it will have battery power to use.“

Since he had seemed such an intellectual Young Man she figured puzzles and books would probably be a safer bet. She still couldn’t remember what the other thing was that came with it if it was a game or just a function that the handheld had. “Oh, And you can keep a digital journal on there. That way you can write things in there but no one else be able to see it because you can put a special code that no one will know to be able to open it.” She smile knowing someone who couldn’t speak probably had many ways to wanting to express themselves the sign language in the journal was just a few outlets she helped might work to help him.

Kim took a sharp intake of breath as he noticed the other thing. “Unfortunately that one can’t really go back. If you don’t like it though you don’t have to wear it I just… Noticed you seem to pay attention about the needs of others more than yourself and I thought it would look good on you...” she pursed her lips wondering if he would think she was ridiculous when he got a look at the outfit.

Shade nodded and smiled as he looked between her and Hush, who was now looking at the console with interest. He started looking in the box for the instructions and likely for the charger. He might have been a little out of it but he wasn’t that out of it.

Shade then pulled the outfit out of the bag, widening his eyes as he took in especially the top part. “Is this a... Gaucho?” His lips spread into a smile. “Good lord we used to wear these at festivals! He leapt up and tugged on the loose top, then realised there was a hat in the bag too. He chuckled lightly and extracted it, popping it onto his head. He wasn’t exactly a huge fan of hats most of the time but at the moment he didn’t mind. He left the pants for now since he wasn’t going to change right now in front of the both of them. He glanced down at himself and stretched out his arms to try and look before grinning at Hush. Even if it was a little unusual he managed to pull off the look. “How do I look Hush?” He asked in an amused tone, and to his amazement Hush smiled quite widely. He then turned to Kim, still grinning.

((Hehe maybe she especially likes how he looks in it XD Also do you want it to look exactly like it does in the link you sent?))

message 375: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) now that was the reaction Kim could’ve Hope for. The best one, he was so excited he even was putting the clothes on right away. Obviously it was a good thing that he didn’t try and change his lower half because that would’ve been incredibly awkward, however him throwing the shirt on and then the hat her blush dark and another shade. He looked amazing. And it fit, it at least seem to fit pretty good. “You look great! And if it’s not fitting perfectly in certain areas I can try and fix that, I didn’t really know your size so I mostly was guessing.” In there she revealed that she was the one who sewed it together. And closer inspection won’t be able see the stitching that was obviously not made add a mass production facility. Hand stitching something that was Shirley more common where he was from but not necessarily here in London especially with this type of garment. It made her so happy to see Hush Smile at him the way he did. It was just wonderful how light the room suddenly felt, but also thought incredibly hot right now and she awkwardly cleared her throat cancer twice.

((No it doesn’t have to be exactly like it just very similar LOL that was the best example I could find I didn’t like most the other ones they showed in my first google search of them XD))

((Okay just wanted to make sure I didn’t offend you or feel bad XD Though I did like the top part! Just the pants struck me as a little raggedy XD))

Shade grinned in response to Hush’s reaction and then at Kim’s words. “Yeah?” He questioned with a chuckle, doing a little spin. “Seriously it seems to fit me fine. Though the hat is maybe a tad big for my taste but it’s alright.” He said amusedly, tilting the brim of the hat up out of his eyes before he stilled and focused on Kim. He might have assumed she meant that she hadn’t known her size to buy it for him but... There seemed to be something else to her words. “Where in the world did you get it?” He asked curiously, and maybe a little pointedly.

message 377: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((Haha yeah. I was more focused on the top part in the hat I wasn’t really paying too much attention to the bottoms ;-) and you’re all good I totally understand ^_^ ))

Kim did her best not to blush but she failed. “ well… I bought the fabric and the thread at…“ She kind of mumbled the name of the store. “But I sold them at the diner.“ She couldn’t even look up at his face, it was a strange thing to do probably. Not to mention the fact that she wasn’t sure if he would’ve even wore it. She wondered if she came off really weird now.

message 378: by Lexie (new)

Shade’s face went slack. “The fabric and the thread... so...” he then looked at the gaucho again, indeed really taking notice of the hand stitching this time. He looked back up at her, gawking. “Did you... make this for me?” He gaped.

Hush looked to Kim with surprise, but then the boy’s lips tilted upwards and he was smiling as he glanced back at Shade.

Shade scoffed a laugh of utter disbelief and shook his head. “Kim I...” He barely had words. He settled for just meeting her gaze and saying. “You’re incredible...” He smirked, realising it was the same words she’d recently said to him about his singing. He tilted his head at her. “Why are you such an amazing person?” The comment came out with barely an ounce of thought.

message 379: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Oh goodness Kim was not a custom to praise and honestly she hadn’t done it to try and get thank you‘s from them honestly… She had just wanted them to be happy. For it to give them some sort of smile I was all she could’ve hoped for or wanted in anyway shape or form. So when he said what he did she couldn’t stop herself from biting her lower lip. “It’s not really that great, I did my best…“ Oh boy, she didn’t know how to respond any of this. Her face felt so hot she thought that she might explode! “ i’m just glad you like it.“

Shade himself suddenly grew a little flustered when he realised what he had said but then Kim was speaking and he quickly focused on her words instead. He scoffed a laugh. Are you kidding me? Not that great?! Kim it’s incredible!” He looked down at the gaucho again and then back up at her. “And you really made it... just for me...?” Honestly if he had known she was getting him a gift, he would have been happy with some sort of tasty treat or something. But this... this was beyond what he would ever imagine.

message 381: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim wasn’t sure if her face would burst into flames at this rate. It wasn’t that she was a complete stranger blushing, but she had never this fiercely in recent memory that she could ever recall. Ironically she never had the thought occurred to her that just a really nice meal would’ve been enough of a thank you gift. Though the motive behind her thought of why she got those things started spilling out before she could stop them. “Well with the life both of you have had, I figured you both deserve to have some things that you actually possessed. That lasted beyond a meal, something you could have that was yours, truly.” Oh and now she felt all kinds of awkward. However she tried to focus on what he just said to her instead of what she had just blurted out. “Yeah I looked up online what they look like and I didn’t see anything like that in the store but, we’re in London so I wasn’t surprised I bought things that I thought I could turn into it and did some sewing a few the people at the diner saw what I was making and Linda hand you know holding fabrics and helping me stitch so I can get done quicker. That would’ve took me at least another hour I would think without their help.“ As always someone to give Credit where credit was due.

As Kim explained why she had gotten something of this nature for them Shade’s expression became a little more solemn, though he did put on a faint crooked smile. “I guess that’s... very considerate of you.” It wasn’t as if his whole life had been terrible though, just 4 years of it. Hush though, he had no idea what the boy’s life had been like before he’d been taken.

Hush cast a glance up at Kim, looking a little awkward and tense but Shade ruffled his hair to hopefully get him happy and smiling again. He barely ever saw that and he wanted it as much as Kim did from the boy.

As she explained how she made the gaucho he shook his head in amazement. “I just can’t believe you made it.” He smiled and looked down at it once again before meeting Kim’s gaze. “Thank you so much Kim.” He smirked. “And seriously, for going through so much trouble...” Good lord he was just so grateful...

message 383: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) “You’re welcome!” Kim had this inevitable knack of ruining things, she never seem to say the right things. This was why she preferred writing to talking to anybody, it always seem like she just said everything wrong. Fortunately the situation shifted pretty quickly. “Not at all.“ Kim shook her head. “ both of your more than worth it. I’m glad you like them.”She offered another nice smile and then turned mostly so she didn’t have to continue the awkward conversation moving towards the kitchen to begin seeing what they could make for the next meal.

If only Shade could have known the girl’s thoughts he would have done all he could to try and reassure her and show her how amazing of a person she really was. If only he didn’t have such a discomfort with contact now... Hush seemed to be the only one he would allow to touch him. Not that he’d tried with many others he supposed but that was just it, the very thought of it... He wondered about his family, if he’d be able to hug them again... Shade only smiled at Kim’s response before taking the hat off and placing it gently in the bag but he left the gaucho shirt on. As Kim made her way to the kitchen he grinned and followed her, bringing the pan of money he’d earned from his busking. “Hey come on I want to do something for you now. I could buy us all dinner?” He said, offering the pan and the coins inside clinked against the metal. He smirked crookedly. “Though it’ll probably only be like McDonald’s or something.” He had earned a or for the short amount of time he’d been busking and more than he’d ever expected, but it still wasn’t an absolute heap, probably about $25.

message 385: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim unfortunately had too many issues of her own and wasn’t aware of just how much they ruled her thoughts and actions. In truth they probably all needed some serious counseling and therapy. Even right now she had this inclination to want to run and hide. She didn’t even know why she suddenly felt like she wanted to cry buckets. Him following her head generally surprised her because she figured they would be busy talking to each other. “Are you sure you want to spend the money on that?“ She smiled at least it was a genuine smile not her normal forced one when she was upset. Somehow he was able to get her to still smile for real even though she was fighting a torrent of emotions.

“I mean… I thought amount we could order pizza and I can make us all super salad to go with it so it’s a full meal. But I think you should just save it.” Not that she was opposed to ordering something or picking something up, but she just didn’t feel right having him waste the money that he spent a good amount of time earning. On food.

Immediately Shade shook his head. “Now you don’t get to say that when you just bought and made gifts for us. That thing you bought Hush seems like it would have costed a bit after all.” He raised a brow pointedly at Kim, then lifted his chin. “Alright we’re getting pizza. That actually sounds amazing I haven’t had pizza in like forever.” Despite the fact that the comment might have been kind of a down one Shade actually smirked and winked at Kim. “Then I’ll help you with the salad.”

message 387: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim was firmly silenced and what he said there. She couldn’t argue, it always was difficult when you couldn’t argue with someone because their logic gave them a solid case. However then when he winked and said he would help with the salad that redness returned to her face far too quickly for her liking. “Okay... I guess we should decide what kind of pizza.” She busy at her self looking away to try and cool down a little bit As she got paper plates and a big salad bowl.

Chill out girl! What is wrong with you? You don’t get this flustered at work... Her glance shifted towards Shade as she got the silverware. He really does look good in that Gaucho... She blinked and shook her head to chase away the thoughts that wouldn’t shut up.

((HAHA I LOVE IT! XD See this is organic not like the silly insta-love you see in some books XD They weren’t in love with each other and wanted to kiss each other straight away but they’ve interacted a lot and have really gotten to know each other and are now starting to develop feelings for each other it’s much more realistic XD))

Shade might have just assumed she was blushing merely from his words, though he did have the thought she looked so cute with her cheeks going rosy like that. And when she got flustered. Then he blinked as she turned away. Good lord what was he thinking? She probably wanted absolutely nothing to do with him, with his history... He cleared his throat under his breath. “Yeah, can you get up the menu on your phone?” He asked her, knowing that was often a thing. “Or I can if you want.” He said, striding over to the sofa to pick up Kim’s phone. He glanced at Hush as he did. “We probably can get two pizzas, that would be nice. What would you like Hush?” He was unaware of Kim’s glances.

Meanwhile Hush seemed to perk up and then looked around wildly before gesturing to the phone Shade held in his hand. Shade gave him a bewildered look and handed it to him where Hush rapidly typed in the notes feature. He then passed the phone back to Shade and Shade chuckled. “Ah, ham and pineapple, that your favourite is it?” To his delight Hush smiled and nodded. “Great. We’ll get that as one...” He turned back towards Kim. “Then what else...?”

message 389: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((Hehe, agreed! It needs to feel like a process. Now the only time ‘insta-love is acceptable i think os it’s when they are child hold friends and know each other for like 10 years, and it’s a sudden realization that their jealous when the other dates or something XD ))

Kim would have been mortified had she known that he thought she was cute when she was blushing like that. She had promised herself, that she wasn’t going to be weak or vulnerable and yet she was doing that so much lately it felt like just may be in a way she hadn’t anticipated. she move to get out the lettuce. “Yeah I think I might have an app, oh wait that was from back in America… I’m sure we can look up the nearest one though.” They may been in England but pizza was pizza. Everyone left pizza he just had to find the right kind. They even had the gluten-free ones in the lactose tolerant ones.

When he asked she couldn’t help smirking. “Whatever you want and I don’t think most people like my pizza.” She didn’t mean pizza she herself made, but the way she liked it it was kind of weird. But to avoid him asking she went ahead and rattled it off. “I get an Alfredo spinach sauce extra cheese chicken bell peppers banana peppers and onions.” She open the fridge to pull out a few more odds and ends. “But like I said whatever you want.”She had a weird taste for things she had been told that numerous times in her life.

((Exactly! A process!
Yeah but even then it’s not like they loved each their as soon as they laid eyes on each other they were friends for all their childhood so that makes perfect sense too! XD))

Shade chuckled as she made the mistake of something she’d only had back in America. “All good, yeah I’ll just look up the closest one.” He said, getting up google on her phone. He raised a brow as she commented about her pizza being unusual and then indeed both eyebrows went skyward as she told him the kind of pizza she got. “Well that sounds interesting.” He said and grinned. “I’m a bit more of a traditional pepperoni guy but hey, do you know if this place does half and half pizzas? We could get a variety?” He suggested with a grin, asking this because his creator knows pizza places where she lives do half and half so surely it’s a thing in other places. “Then we could all try the different kinds.”

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) ((Right? XD but it’s a way for you to have Insta love at the beginning of the story but they have a history LOL. There are plenty of writer tricks!))

Kim smile, because she herself I never ordered the pizza didn’t mean she didn’t know this answer, because just like back home in America as long as you got the right pizza place they rarely minded doing half-and-half. It was too hard to get a pizza that everyone always liked splitting it like that was just the best choice. “Yeah they should be able to do that! That sounds good.“ She had to admit it did sound tasty. “Wait I think I actually got some coupon or something in the mail…“ She went over to the table that she threw mail onto every few days and indeed a pizza place just around the block and a coupon two for the price of one. And it was all the toppings you could want for $20. “Hey look with this we’ll have enough for the tip and delivery charge!” It was the large pizzas to not the small ones. That was a good price!

Shade lit up as she confirmed they should be able to do the half and half pizzas. “Great!” He said cheerfully. He then watched as she tried to find coupons for the pizza place and looked on in amazement as she indeed found one. “Well how lucky are we?! Double great!” He said with a grin. “Alright so... do you want that pizza of yours for your half?” He asked her. He then thought a moment. “Hm, what if we get yours as the full pizza then I’ll go half and half with Hush’s?” After all it was logical since Hush would eat the least pizza. It didn’t exactly make sense to get a whole Hawaiian pizza for him then. “If anything we might have a little of yours left as leftovers which I think seems fair.” He said with a pointed smile at her. Though he’d admittedly probably try some of her pizza because it sounded kind of intriguing.

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim wanted to argue but then he seem to continue Juan and I did make sense actually. “Well as long as you give my pizza try then sure!“ She just didn’t wanted to be that she was getting the whole pizza for herself though that would’ve been wrong and totally unfair which was a bit humorous since life was really fair but, one of the ironies of life was that when someone encountered so much in fairness they went out of their way to try and make things just and fair.

Shade grinned at her. “Oh count on it that’s what I was going for.” He assured her with a nod and then handed her the phone. “Okay well maybe you will be a bit better at ordering the pizzas and since you have the coupon. Here do you want me to write the order down for you so it’s easier?” He asked, looking about. “Is there anything to write with?”

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim nodded at his question but then realized she didn’t have pens or pencils or anything like that in this place. She had never bought those sorts of things in fact when a lightbulb went out she would see if the apartments would replace them for her for free otherwise she sat in the dark. “I got an idea…“ She pulled a notepad on her phone and handed it to him for him to type it on. When he was finished she dial the number and put on speaker so she could look at the notepad, rattling off the order like a professional waitress that she was. Then making sure that they rang up the coupon properly. When all was said and done it was actually a little bit cheaper than the coupon had even stated because there were some kind of special of free delivery. “Thanks!” She said after giving her phone number and address and all of that stuff that they would need and hung up the phone. “Should be here pretty quick actually 15 minutes that’s not long.” She wondered why it was so quick, maybe this time a year it wasn’t that busy of a time to get pizza so they really weren’t on backorder much

Shade happily typed down the order onto the notepad on her phone which ended up including a pizza that was half ham and pineapple and of course cheese for Hush and then for his he got pepperoni, Italian sausage, chicken and mushrooms. He liked quite a lot of meat on his pizza. He then allowed Kim to write down hers since he wasn’t sure he’d be able to quite get her order right and he watched amusedly as she made the call. “Great!” He said as she said the pizza would be here in 15 minutes. “That is pretty fast.” His stomach rumbled and he laughed. “Oh man my mouth is watering just thinking about pizza...”

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim chuckled in response. “I know what you mean it’s been a while since I’ve had pizza. Sounds really good! Yes I need to make sure that salad and all that’s ready before they get here!” She hurried on into the kitchen forgetting for a moment that he had offered to help and was already moving to take care of it all.

((I’m craving pizza now XD))

Shade chuckled and then perked right up. “Oh yeah here let me help!” He said, racing over, moving to stop her in her tracks a little as she seemed to be rushing around to try and handle everything. He blocked her way to the fridge and cocked his head. “Seriously let me help, what do you need?” He asked, turning and opening the fridge since ingredients for a salad were most likely in there.

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim didn’t do it in a way to try and disrespect him and not because she didn’t like help. She was just used to being self-sufficient, and not asking for help nor getting any help. So it threw her for a bit of a culture shock to have someone constantly wanting to help. No one had really ever wanted to help her before so it was just a strange adjustment for her. “Um...” She struggled to gather her thoughts. “There should be a bag of lettuce in there and then different veggies, I just prefer lettuce and cheese on my salad but the two of you may like more?” After all a lot of people like things like onions end, tomatoes on their salad. She was not one of those people.

Shade smiled and simply waited patiently as she hesitated before telling him how to help. At least she wasn’t just refusing. He nodded as she told him to grab the lettuce and some other things. “Lettuce and cheese? You mean that’s the only salads you have?” He asked surprisedly as he stopped down to grab the lettuce and place it on the bench though he left he fridge open to go back and check for more possibilities. “What about carrot and tomato? They’re nice in a salad have you tried those?” He asked lightly, he of course wasn’t going to make her or be offended if she didn’t like it he was just curious. It was amazing how people had such different tastes.
