Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim looked, dazed, confused and uncertain. She opened her mouth to answer, but just made a “uh...k.” Response. Grimacing as she extended her arm for him to remove them. True he asked and either or question, but she wasn’t in a place to process that yet.

Shade raised a brow slightly at her response, but at least she extended her arm out to him and he took that as an answer, very carefully starting to pick the glass from her arm. He pricked his own fingers a few times since toilet paper wasn't exactly the best protection but he didn't really care. It was a slow and delicate process, but finally. "Okay... All done I think. Can you feel anymore?" He asked her.

message 103: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Strangely something about the pain helped refocus her and thought it was good to have it out it hurt pulling it out. So when he asked the question she was a little more herself. She looked at the arm is if expecting to see the answer reaching her other hand over and gently feeling. “It’s all gone...” her face heated up and she realized what she was doing. Sitting in a closet, acting like an idiot. “I... I’m sorry...” She said automatically. It was always her fault after all, she never did anything right.

message 104: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade nodded as she said it was all gone, thank goodness for that. Then as she apologised he sighed and shook his head. "Don't be. Did I... Did I do that? Did you come in here because of me? Because I yelled and... slammed the door?" He asked, his voice much more gentle with her than it had been yet.

message 105: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim was looking off to the side, but then at his question her eyes shot up, wide and shocked. She bit her lower lip and looked down. “It’s my fault... I was inconsiderate.” Ironically even without answering she was answering him. Yeah that was it, defense mechanism number two. Take all blame. It was easier that way. Everyone was happy and no more fighting.

message 106: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade glanced at her, then sighed. “No it wasn’t... I shouldn’t have yelled...” Of course he hadn’t realised Kim was so sensitive, as sensitive as Hush seemly, then he never would have yelled. He raised a brow. “In fact that was inconsiderate of me.” He rose and backed off. “You wanna come out of the closet?”

Hush was watching warily from a distance, but he also looked, somewhat concerned.

message 107: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim looked up at him, obvious surprise in her features. He was the insensitive one? And he had apologized... When he backed up, heat rose to her face. How embarrassing, she shouldn’t have acted like this... hiding in a closet. Oh how she wanted to melt away, disappear. “...” Slowly she worked to get up, and she stood in the empty closet a moment. Why did small rooms like this closet feel comforting, safe? However Shade seemed to be waiting for her. So she stepped out the door and to the side, not making eye contact. Face beet red. She should’ve reacted better.

message 108: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade offered a faint, weak smile when Kim looked up at him then backed up as she stepped out of the closet. Though he saw her face turn red, perhaps a little embarrassed he realised. Maybe he should give her some space. “Don’t worry about it.” He told her before glancing at Hush. “What’s say you to lunch huh?” He said lightly and Hush glanced to him. Shade looked back at Kim. “If that’s alright of course?”

message 109: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim didn’t know what to say or do, she had acted like an idiot. But maybe they could just pretend it didn’t happen. “Yeah, I am pretty hungry.” Though she still hadn’t slept so possibly by the time she calm down and got some food in her she’d be about ready to pass out..

message 110: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade gave a nod and led the way to the fridge. “Anything in particular you feel like?” Shade asked her. He wasn’t used to having such choices after all, he pretty much got the first thing he saw for himself and then wondered what would be something good for Hush.

Likely to Kim’s surprise, Hush wasn’t shying away from her as much. He was even looking at her, and if she looked at him he would tilt his head seemingly in concern, as if asking if she was alright.

message 111: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim Was totally apprehensive, not sure how to respond. “Anything is fine…” She did look at hush but mostly because she felt eyes on her and she didn’t know how to feel about the way he looked at her, she seemed all MC suddenly. Like a rabbit ready to run from an unseen predator. She suddenly just want to go back into the closet. Not a rational thought she knew, but didn’t change how she felt. Why did the closet so comforting and someways? Though neither of them would know her first nights but in this apartment was actually in the closet. There have been people fighting and yelling angrily. There didn’t seem to be the sounds of violence for just angry voices. Before she knew what she was doing she was in the closet and she stayed there the entire night. Hardly sleeping that was a Tele voices seem to calm down.

Hush blinked bewilderedly and sagged a little before moving over to the kitchen bench.

Shade held back a sigh for he kind of wished Kim could make it a little easier for him, but nevertheless he grabbed something else out of the fridge for her, then looked much more carefully for something for Hush.

((I have no idea what might be in the fridge so XD))

message 113: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim moved to the counter. “Thank you.” Oh man everything was so awkward. How could she make it stop? She wanted it to be okay. She picked up the tuna salad sandwich, but before she took a bite she hesitated. “About... what happened, in the closet...” She had to try something!

((Like diner stuff? Burgers, pancakes, pie, various pastries. Hotdogs...))

message 114: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
((Ah ok, thanks!))

Shade got out a hot dog for Hush. It didn't have too much sauce on it and Hush wasn't a huge fan of sauce so it was good, and he'd grabbed a meat pie for himself. He put the hot dog on a plate and handed it to Hush, who headed to the room to go and eat, and Shade put his pie in the microwave. As Kim spoke he turned to her and tilted his head. "Yeah...?" He had no idea what she was going to say, and he didn't really know what to say back to her in all honesty...

message 115: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) “I appreciate that you apologized, but it really wasn’t your fault... I don’t normally act like that, and I shouldn’t let the past have that strong of an effect on me... I’m sorry for freaking you both out.” She forced a slight smile. Yeah, good job making it less weird. She mentally scolded herself sarcastically.

message 116: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade regarded her for a moment and then let his mouth quirk. "Still, I felt bad, so consider the apology a gesture of my good will." He said to her. The microwave beeped as his food was done and Shade removed the now steaming pie and placed the plate on the bench to cool for a moment. "The past huh?" He murmured. "Yeah I hear you..." He raised a brow at her slightly. "Don't worry about it okay." He just wondered now what was in her past that had such a strong effect on her, and made her act that way. It made him more concerned now than anything... Perhaps Hush didn't speak but at least he didn't just go and hide.

message 117: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) “Yeah...” Kim managed a real smile. “Thanks...” maybe all of the awkwardness hadn’t completely left but she felt calm enough to start eating now. She had only taken two or three bites of her sandwich though before anyone with eyes could see she was struggling to stay awake. She really hadn’t eaten much in a while, unless you counted the few french fries she was given. And the occasional bit of food that was burned or going to be thrown away for reasons of things like over seasoning or something like that. But she hadn’t slept in over a day. Not to mention working she looked at the clock now should realize she’s going on about 40 hours straight.

message 118: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Indeed Shade immediately noticed her tiredness, that was why he wasn't pressing her to talk anymore than she wanted. "You should probably take the bedroom and have a nap. You look like you're about to drop." He commented to her as he finally sank his teeth into his pie. Lord he hadn't had a pie in... forever... He didn't even care that the pastry wasn't that crunchy or flaky due to it having been microwaved, the explosion of the meat filling in his mouth was bliss.

message 119: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim didn’t even realize her eyes were closed as she spoke. “No I don’t want to take it away from you and Hush. I have my spot...” she gestured vaguely to the spot where she had been woke up by her phone and called to work. “I’ll just finish sandwich later...” She wasn’t even saying all the words to make proper sentences, like a lot of people when they were tired just left leaving out certain small words a and the. She wrap the paper back around the sandwich didn’t get up to put in the fridge though careful he worked on rising though she did feel significantly off balance now adrenaline was gone, anxiousness was gone. Anything keeping her awake was gone.

message 120: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade said nothing and instead just set his plate and his pie down and quickly strode over to help her as she wrapped up the sandwich and then looked like she was about to keel over. And then he started to guide her to her bedroom, not even saying anything about it, as much as he appreciated her gesture. She needed it more than them right now and they weren't even sleeping anytime soon anyway. Hush was in the midst of eating his hot dog and Shade cast him an apologetic glance but the boy didn't look too disturbed as Shade helped Kim to lay down on the piles of blankets and pillows. In fact Hush just watched curiously, and Shade saw with delight he didn't even stop eating his food.

message 121: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim was so out of it and passed the point of complete exhaustion it was almost the equivalent of being very drunk, she wouldn’t possibly protester resist in anyway and it was a good thing that she ate was a good person and it’s quite possible that somehow she had actually fallen asleep before laying fully down but was still partially awake enough to move her body. This would probably be another thing if she actually remembered it in the morning, that she would be embarrassed about. She was supposed to be helping them not the other way around. Any tension or stiffness though that she may have had vanished as she relaxed onto the pillows/cushions and blankets. Her breathing growing increasingly deeper. Even though it was mid afternoon more than likely she won’t wake up until tomorrow mid morning.

message 122: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Despite himself Shade’s mouth tugged into a faint smile as Kim laid down. She was obviously beat. Shade nodded at Hush and gestured for them to exit the room and leave Kim to sleep and Hush padded out behind him. He finished off his hot dog soon after that and Shade returned to eating his pie, putting Kim’s sandwich back into the fridge.

message 123: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Unless someone actually physically touched her she was to stay out quite a while. When she woke up she gave a groan. Where? What time is it? she could see that she was in the bedroom, but she felt very disoriented as one usually would after sleeping such a large amount of time. It was about 10 AM. And she was starving not to mention feeling dehydrated. She kept blinking trying to make her eyes open and focus as she sat up. She had slept at least 16 hours, but more like 18 or 19.

Shade and Hush merely did their own thing while Kim was out cold. Shade, with nothing else to do, reorganised Kim’s fridge for her, after all it was a bit of a mess after dumping all the food in there. Then he sat and talked with Hush, and they also played monopoly, a crappy cheaper version he’d bought from the dollar store when also buying those things to sell, because sometimes he and Hush had needed at least something to do. Shade always tried to let Hush win. Then they had dinner and, on a hunch, Shade poured some dry cereal into a bowl and left it for Kim on the floor at her side, thinking she’d only want something light when she awoke, and he couldn’t leave something there that would go bad because it needed to be kept hot or refrigerated. Not long after the two boys went to bed, sleeping amongst the pillows in the main part of the apartment, but they rose quite early, still before Kim. And then, Shade saw something out the window. He didn’t know how Kim would feel about it, but maybe it would be good! So he took off downstairs and to the street, bidding Hush to open the door for him when he heard him coming.

And somehow, Shade succeeded in bringing up a smallish three seater couch that someone had literally just chucked out on the curb. Yes it was a little wrecked and tattered, but by no means was it unusable. He pushed it up the stairs, struggling a little yes but he got there. Hush opened the door for him and Shade pushed it inside, then Hush helped him set it up in a decent enough spot, before Shade collapsed into it, covered in sweat. “I hope that was worth it...” he murmured, chest heaving as he panted. Hush has poured himself some cereal and was eating it for breakfast, dry, for he preferred it that way. But he went and got Shade a glass of water and Shade gave him a grateful look as the boy handed it to him. “Thanks buddy.” Shade said as he gulped the water down. He then just lolled his head over the arm of the couch, sprawled on his back. Hush sat cross legged on the floor and continued to eat his cereal. This was the scene Kim would be greeted with should she exit her room.

((Hope that’s okay XD))

message 125: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim moved her hand and found the pool. She couldn’t help smiling at the cereal in it. She preferred milk but often they didn’t have milk in this house so she was used to eating it dry and seeing as she was so hungry she probably down about half of it before getting up still holding the bowl and opening the door to the bedroom stepping out and for a moment she wasn’t sure what she was saying, it was humorous and strange. Then her mine seem to register there was a sofa in her house! “Whoa!” She stared wide eyed. Moving closer to the couch and touched it as if expecting it to be an illusion. “Where did you find this?” It was wonderful. Her tone may have been missed leading, but anyone could see on the look on her face she was excited and happy. Actual piece of furniture in her house! Sure she had that one chair that she lucked out to get the other day but this was a whole new animal. Not to mention with her skills on sewing she could do some fixing to it. She could make it better. However even as it was it was just amazing!

((Of course! ^_^ ))

Shade had had his arm over his eyes as he regained his breath after hauling the thing up, so he jerked in surprise at Kim’s sudden greeting. “Oh,” he swung his legs around and sat up, brushing his hair away from his forehead as it was trying to stick there from the sweat. He smiled up at her. “Someone threw it on the curb. I think I saw a truck there too so maybe they got a new one and just decided to chuck this one out, prepared to take it to the dump or something. They’re probably wondering where it’s vanished too.” He said and grinned in amusement. Though he hoped she wouldn’t think that was stealing... His grin turned into a bit of a sheepish grimace. “It’s not stealing if they didn’t want it right...?”

Hush eyed them both neutrally as he continued to crunch on his cereal.

message 127: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim was astonished. “You brought it up your offer yourself? You should’ve called me to help.“ Even though she was asleep she didn’t want him to get hurt. Her tone and expression wasn’t one of scolding but concerned. “Are you all right?“ In all honesty she wouldn’t of been able to get it up there. At his question about stealing though she smiled in her cheeks turn slightly pink. “No, if someone’s throwing it away then it’s free game for anyone.” After all it was the same with the food she brought, food it was going to be thrown away anyway. It was a waste, especially when someone else could use it! “Thank you.” She walked over towards him, and almost like giving him a hug but then she has a Tate it got awkward and reached her hand out instead and grabbed his upper arm. “It’s incredible.”

message 128: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade immediately shook his head. “Of course not, I wanted you to sleep. Don’t worry it was fine. I may have turned into an Ox at some point to push it.” He said and smirked in amusement. “I’m fine, really.” He assured her when she asked if he was alright. Sure it had taken it out of him but really he was fine. He chuckled slightly as she agreed it wasn’t stealing and then couldn’t help raising a brow as she almost seemed to hug him but settled for tapping his arm instead and he sniffed in amusement, smiling as she said it was incredible. “Glad you like it. Thought you needed at least something. Sitting on the floor all the time can’t be too good huh Hush?” He said, winking at his little brother. Hush even managed the faintest of smiles in response as he nodded, and he even cast a glance at Kim that, well, didn’t look scared at least.

message 129: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim grinned to each of them in turn, genuinely pleased. “Okay, this calls for Something special!” She moved towards the kitchen and opened the fridge. However she hardly recognized it astonished at how neat and tidy it looked. It had been pretty much a wasteland from what she had done. In all honesty she was a creative person but she wasn’t the neatest. She could make things, but sometimes she was too lazy to organize them. Though there were other times when she went into hyper organization mode. “Do you organize the fridge too… And I’m gonna have to start paying for your house keeping services.” She was joking of course she rub the back of her neck. He just kept amazing her. It was amazing that he had threatened to rip her throat out and then now he was doing less. True it would benefit both of them as well, but… It was just so kind.

message 130: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade raised his brows bemusedly as she said this called for something special. “Oh?” He said questioningly and stretched himself out before looking up as she asked about the fridge. “Oh, Yeah, I was bored.” He said and smiled crookedly. He chuckled as she said she’d have to pay him for his services. “Don’t be silly. You’re letting us stay here. That’s payment enough.” It wasn’t like she was making him pay rent or anything after all and she’d opened up her home to them. Now that Shade knew he could trust her, and had seen another part of her, he wanted to show how grateful he was.

message 131: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim chuckled, it had been a while since she left like that. A genuine happy sound. Not forced and not just polite and friendly, but from happiness. “Well still consider this at least some form of payment to. Because you certainly have earned it!“ The sound of a pot and pan being pulled out as well as her pulling several different things from the fridge. She wasn’t necessarily a world-class cook, but she had learned quite a bit from the chef at the diner and he knew had to take leftovers and turn them into something fantastic. Hopefully she didn’t blow it!

message 132: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
Shade raised a brow as she mentioned payment to him and then he realised she was extracting pots and pans. “You’re going to cook?” He asked, standing. “Really you don’t have to...” He told her, grinning crookedly. But he couldn’t deny this was so... nice... It had been a long time since he’d known kindness like this from anyone...

message 133: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim gave another firm nod. “Yep.“ She started lining things up in the order she would need to be adding them. “Don’t worry, I may not be a four-star cook, but I can still make good food.“ She smiled reassuring at him. “ besides, I haven’t had a reason to use these in a long time.” Of course she got them like she got just about everything else stuff that was thrown away discarded or at some sort of thrift store. The one thing she never skimp Don was soap, a little money she had went to soap to clean things because she couldn’t afford to get sick. And then food that lasted and lasted so she could ration it out carefully.

What she was doing was making a sort of homemade beef stew. Something she figured men would like but she would like it too. It would be juicy and tender and have meat and vegetables in it. I wasn’t going to be the same as if she actually had all the proper ingredients but she was confident they would enjoy it!

((good night! *Hugs*))

message 134: by Lexie (new)

Lexie | 756 comments Mod
“Oh I have no doubt about that.” Shade said lightly, coming up into the kitchen with her. “At least let me help?” He said though it was posed as a question he did know that sometimes some people really just did things better themselves and people who tried to ‘help’ often just ended up getting in the way. Still he wanted to at least try. Shade glanced at Hush. “Might want to lay off the cereal Hush, I’m sure we’ll want whatever this will be.” He said with a casual grin. Hush glanced at his cereal and then set it down, he remained sitting huddled on the floor, not uncomfortably or anything, but seemingly trying to take up the least space as possible.

message 135: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim smiled at Shade’s request and nodded. “Actually...” she pointed at the fridge. There were a few plain hamburgers in there just meat and bread if you could separate those and cut them up into small little bite-size chunks? There’s a knife in the drawer next to the fridge.“ She didn’t have a lot in the way of silverware, but she did have a nice a few spoons forks or two. She reached into another cabinet that had some seasonings. Again not a lot at salt pepper but she had splurged one time and got the special seasoned salt, that’s what you’d be using right now. I should be in a put items into the pot very small amount of water, and a few odds and ends. Typically someone needed gravy mix to help make the water more tasty, she didn’t have that though however one of the things that the cook showed her was when you didn’t have something there is usually a way around it. She had condensed milk. You didn’t wanna use too much because it wasn’t trying to be a milky meal but pouring a little bit into the water give it some substance and taste then adding some seasonings along with the vegetables and meat would cook the milky taste out of it and share the taste of the food with the juice. Which would make it more of a broth. Which is what she was going for.

((Aww... poor Hush I just want to hug him ;-; ))

((Hush is my precious cinnamon roll XD))

Shade was glad to be able to offer his help. He retrieved the burgers from the fridge and separated the meat and other condiments on it from the bread, cutting them up into small pieces and handing the chopping board with its results to Kim. He kept the four slices of bread on a plate and an idea struck him. “How about we keep the bread, it’s nice to dip it in to soups and stews and stuff like that, which looks like that’s what pure making right?” He asked lightly.

message 137: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim smiled and nodded. “That’s right, I think that’s a great idea. You know I bet if we put the stove on broil and put them in there we can make them a little bit more crisp so they’re a little bit better with the food. There should be a pizza pan under the stove in that drawer. You should lay them all out there.” She begin adding the meat continuing to stir season and watch the food carefully. This is going to turn out even better. Fortunately she did have a few bowls and plates she would need to do dishes after they eat of course because they would pretty much exhaust everything she had but, definitely worth it! The delicious smell of the stew begin to fill the house. Sort of beefy seasoned aroma.

Shade gave a nod and made to follow her instructions, grabbing the pan and turning on the stove before laying the four slices of bread out. Soon the beautiful aroma of the food reached him and Shade found himself smiling as he smelled it. It had been a long time since he’d smelt something so good... “Mmm, smells good huh Hush?” He called to the boy.

The smell had of course reached Hush too and he’d noticed it. He only glanced at Shade neutrally, but it was clear he was inhaling in the heavenly aroma.

message 139: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim worked to time her self along with shade, making sure that their food could be done at the same time. And it last and everything was ready she had the paper plates and the bowls and should begin loading them down and filling them up. “Soups on!” She chuckled. In truth it wasn’t soup it was stew but close enough. She herself was quite eager to dig in!

Shade grinned as it was finally ready. “Looks good!” He said cheerily and immediately took a bowl and a piece of bread, now lightly toasted so as to be warm and crispy, to Hush. “Have what you want.” He told him kindly and Hush took it with a little nod. But Shade saw with delight that he actually seemed quite eager, and he was immediately dipping the bread into the stew and taking a bite. Shade smiled happily as he returned to retrieve his own and he tasted a spoonful of the stew. “Mmm, not even a four star cook, are you kidding? You worked wonders with this!” He complimented Kim.

And if she were to look in Hush’s direction, she would see his eyes had lit up ever so slightly as well and he even appeared to be smiling slightly, looking to be in agreement with Shade.

message 141: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim looked back-and-forth between the two blushing slightly. “I’m glad you like it.” She needed to ask that cooks mother tips. Fortunately he was such a nice guy she knew he wouldn’t mind giving them.

At last she poured her own portion and tasted and couldn’t help smiling herself. In truth she was surprise it tasted so good, she had altered just slightly doing what she thought would make it taste better and apparently it paid off! She moved to take a seat on the new sofa and munch down on the stew merrily. It was nice to have a little bit of time like this to just sit and enjoy.

Shade remained standing as he ate, leaning against the kitchen bench. Instead of wolfing it down like he usually did Shade made sure to savour the meal. “I can’t even remember the last time I had something that wasn’t cooked at a takeaway store.” He commented as he dipped his bread into the stew and took a generous bite.

Indeed despite the cereal he’d eaten Hush was enthusiastically downing the stew as well, though he was mostly staring at the bowl now, not lifting his eyes.

message 143: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim smiled. “It was definitely worth working the late shift.” There would be enough for seconds and probably some left overs. Not to mention there was still food in the fridge. Maybe she could find a way to make another meal out of that stuff as well?

((Good night!))

((Why in the world are you up at this time?! XD))

Shade looked up from his meal and smiled in Kim’s direction. “Thanks for this Kim, really.” He said before he reverted his gaze back to the food and continued to eat.

Hush has finished, or well, eaten all that he’d wanted of his and he set it down. Shade glanced over and after shovelling in a mouthful of his own he came to collect Hush’s. “That all you want buddy?” Hush looked up shyly and nodded. Shade gave him a reassuring nod and took up the bowl, glancing at Kim. “Don’t worry he doesn’t typically at much anyway but actually he ate a heap of this. I’d say he liked it. Right Hush?” He said, glancing over his shoulder at the boy. Hush gave the tiniest of smiles and gave a nod, surprisingly, in Kim’s direction.

message 145: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Kim smiled at Shade’s praise. “You’re welcome.” Unfortunately because it had been so long since she ate she can eat that much either. Though she ate more than any person would in one sitting, but not as much as she would’ve liked. Hearing how much Hush like the food and she saw the way he’s even seem to smile towards her. It made her smile gently at him in return. “I’m glad. There’s going to be plenty leftovers for later.” Her way of letting him know if he decided he wanted more he could have more. True because she didn’t have a microwave they would have to heated on the stove in a pan but it really wasn’t that big of a deal.

Despite trying to savour it and not wolf it down in too much of a rush it was so good Shade ended up finishing his own stew and bread quite quickly, using his last piece of bread to lap up basically every drop of the stew. He glanced at Kim as she talked and nodded. “It’ll be good to have more for dinner. Something warm and sustaining in your belly for the night is always better.” He said, smiling at Hush. The boy seemed more comfortable now at least, well, as comfortable as he could be. Sighing in content he lent back against the bench.

Kimberly Brown (guardianwolfkim) Compared to all the other days they had thus far, this one had turned out to be relatively drama free. Though Kim had slept through over half of it, still at remained true to say the least. They enjoyed a good dinner and eventually it was bedtime. Surprisingly she was able to go back to sleep even though only been up about six hours or so. There was something unique about her where she could almost always go to sleep. In fact when she was sick injured stressed any kind of pain she often got very sleepy. Must’ve been just how her body and mind up with things. Thankfully she had a night of relative ease in her dreams and nightmares and hauntings of her past stated to stay in the shadows where they belong. And so came in the morning and new day and a new adventure with two more people in her life that she wasn’t used to being around.
