((Haha is that the same as you? XD))
Shade grinned in response to the face she made when he mentioned tomato. “Alright we’ll skip on the tomato again. Do you mind if I just add carrot?” He asked, grabbing the carrot out if the fridge. Presumably Kim wouldn’t even have tomatoes in the fridge if that was how she felt about them. He set the salads and vegetables near the bowl on the counter and quickly went to wash his hands too since he would be handling the food with his hands. He smirked amusedly as he stood behind her, waiting as if in line to wash his hands after her.
((Ok why do I love the casual chemistry between these two so much! XD))

Kim indeed normally wouldn’t have tomatoes however when she took a large portion of food from the place she took everything. So there was probably a few but then again she tried not to get much of the really easily expiring stuff. She finished washing her hands and was about to turn it off but then saw he was behind her. “Oh, umm... here.” She step to the side it wasn’t exactly a very huge kitchen so I was a little bit of a shuffle in there as she moved to get the towel to dry her hands looking at his back as he moved to wash his. Was a strange feeling in her stomach and she didn’t know what to do about it.
((I know! I really do love them, I can’t believe how quickly the pair just really grew on me! I feel like we need to make this into some sort of story XD ))
((Haha aww poor tomato! It used to be the only salad I ate as a kid but now I love lettuce too XD I get how some people might not like tomato though sometimes I even don’t feel like it, or they’ve just been particularly bad lately 😖))
Shade only smirked amusedly as she awkwardly turned over the sink to him. Funny she was the one acting flustered in this moment where one would think with his history that he would be the one more likely to act that way. But truth was unless someone actually touched him Shade was pretty much fine. As he washed his hands though he found he couldn’t quite seem to wipe the grin off his face.
((They’re so cute!
Ha, what do you mean? 👀))

It was funny, like you knew when someone was smiling even if you couldn’t see their face with something about their body language or something. Almost anyone had done it before where you just knew someone was smiling even if you couldn’t see them. “What is it?” She extended the towel to him face slightly red as she made a point to slightly look away. Ironically was a bit like a dance in this kitchen when you had more than one person in here.
((I’m sorry I don’t understand what you’re asking down there. I don’t know if there are words missing? Also probably last post for me tonight :-) sweet dreams! <3))
((Haha that’s really funny because I actually don’t really like tomato cooked or cooked in anything like whenever mum makes it in spaghetti I don’t eat it I hate it XD I sort of only like it cold and raw like in salads XD))
Shade forced his mouth to stop smiling and tried to don a straight face as he turned around to Kim. Unfortunately his attempt was pretty dismal, he was more used to faking smiles then a poker face. “Nothing.” He said in response to her as he took the tea towel. “Thanks.” He then noticed her face and his cheeks filled with air like they did when someone was trying desperately hard not to laugh. Then he couldn’t help it. He snorted in laughter. “Speaking of tomatoes you’ve gone as red as one. Are you hot or something?”

((I was asking what you mean by making this into some sort of story like you said? You mean besides this?
And good night! Sweet dreams to you!))
And good night! Sweet dreams to you!))

Kim’s eyes widened when he asked the question. Oh Good Lord help her! What did she say to that? “What?” Yeah, good response. “N-no, I’m fine.” As usual a pretty dismal liar when it came to her emotions. “So... the salad...” She moved to work on that, anything to break eye contact and of course avoid the conversation as well.
((Oh! Haha. Like writing out a short story XD sorry!))
((Hehe sure is! Like I always say now, in taste and books we can all be so different XD))
Shade raised a brow and couldn’t help smirking in amusement at her response. He decided he better leave her alone as she abruptly changed subject and focus. While she was maybe doing the lettuce he organised the cheese and carrot, easy enough for him though admittedly he was very out of practice with cooking.
((Oh I see! Ha really?))

((Oh I see! Ha really?))

Kim busied herself with washing and prepping the lettuce. Letting him focus on cleaning and cutting the other items. She nodded and slid the bowl in the freezer. “Helps it crisp, but can’t stay long or it freezes.” It was a little diner trick she learned.
((Haha, yeah. It’s such an interesting story! ^_^ ))
Shade cocked his head as she put the salad in the freezer and then as she told him the tip. “Oh I see.” He then chuckled. “Yes don’t want a frozen salad. Though have you ever tried frozen orange slices?” He asked, pointing at her playfully. “They’re really good.” He glanced at Hush and the thought crossed his mind that he wanted to make some for him.

There was a knock on the door. “Pizza!”
Kim glanced that way. “One moment!” She gave an apologetic smile to Shade. “W-would you mind tending to the pizza guy?” She wanted him to deal with paying the bill and tip. In truth she never ordered anything, and was paranoid of strangers coming to her house, ironic given the recent series of events.
((Ohh yeah someone mentioned frozen grapes to me I so want to try them!))
“Oh frozen grapes huh? Never thought to do it with those.” He smiled as she said they were good. “Sounds good. I’ll have to try them someday.” He glanced up sharply at the knock on the door and then looked to Kim with surprise as she asked if he could deal with the delivery man. He raised a brow and his mouth quirked. “I thought I was the one who was supposed to be lying low.” He said amusedly but he was joking of course. He had just gone busking in the street this afternoon after all. “Sure.” The money was his anyway so he got the amount he needed out of the pot, including a girly generous tip thanks to the fact that the delivery was free because of the deal. He opened the door up for the man and gave him the money, apologising for the fact that it was mostly change and took the two pizzas. He could already smell them through the boxes. As the delivery boy bid farewell and Shade shut the door behind him with his foot he stared down at the pizzas. “Oh man they smell good...” he murmured, hurrying with them to the bench.

Kim was a little bit flustered but then relieved to see he was just joking. She hadn’t even thought about the fact that he certainly hadn’t been lying low today. When he left to go deal with the pizza person she let out a silent breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. Moving to gather up everything he had done and finish prepping the salad, she mentally scolded herself for acting like such a moron.
Then bringing the appetizer to the table about the same time that he was bringing the pizza she also had the plates and silverware. “Bon appétit.” I was about all the friends she really knew except for maybe ‘au revoir’ or ‘magnifico’, but she was far from being truly fluent. Though she knew definitely more Spanish she was still inapt at both.
Shade grinned as Kim brought the salad down and said the classic French phrase. He set the pizzas down on the table and sat next to Hush, leaning forward to open up the pizza boxes. “Do you want any salad or just pizza bud?” He asked, thinking since he was a kid he probably just wanted the pizza. He handed Hush’s 4 slices to him on a plate and the boy cast him a glance to convey his silent thanks before digging in. He definitely didn’t seem to want salad. Shade didn’t mind. He’d come to learn you seriously didn’t have to eat that healthy to live, Sure you maybe felt a little crappier but it was enough. He took up a slice of his own pizza and served himself some salad and started to dig in. “Good lord I haven’t had pizza in soooo long...” he drawled, admittedly with his mouth a little full. “This is amazing...”

Shade quickly finished off his first slice of pizza and glanced at hers. “Mind if I try a piece of yours?” He asked just to acknowledge to her, but of course they’d already decided that he would so he picked up a slice even as he asked Hough didn’t bite into it straight away. He ate a forkful of salad instead. He noticed she seemed to be eating slower but he didn’t press her on it, knowing from experience with Hush that that made the person feel worse and prevented them from eating more. Often if they were left alone to start to feel more comfortable they would soon feel better and eat more.

Kim nodded and smiled at him. “Of course.“ She took great care not to sound like she was talking with her mouthful even though there was food in her mouth there was always that way I was kind of manipulating where the food was and talking very carefully so it didn’t sound too muffled or anything. In the end she only ate two slices, But then she never was one to eat a lot of pizza anyway. In truth when she ate too much she would feel quite sick, she just didn’t have that big of an appetite. And by the time she finished her pizza and realize she hadn’t touched her salad she felt too full. She rose up to take the salad and put it in the fridge deciding she would take that to work or something and eat it later.
((Same! It’s what I’ve noticed with myself if i am feeling anxious from the start while eating, if I start thinking about my eating or if people ask me about it I start to feel like I don’t want to eat but if I can just keep going myself and not have anyone ask me about it I can get through it XD))
Shade on the other hand was starving for some reason he ended up eating six slices, including the half of Bush’s fourth piece he didn’t quite finish, and admittedly two of Kim’s pizza, because hers was the whole one. He was finishing off his salad when he saw her get up and put hers in the fridge. He swallowed and pursed his lips, knowing he shouldn’t ask but it was making him a little worried. “Not hungry?” He asked softly.

“No, I just don’t usually eat much.” Kim Had enjoyed the pizza that much is true, she was just used to surviving on less food. Even when she was going to school she would pretty much survive off the breakfast meal which helped her have enough brainpower to do school work and she would always quickly do her homework even in between classes if she got done early. Thankfully though from time to time when she was at her friends house she would get dinner with them but even then she just couldn’t eat much.
The maybe one day when she had her own place and there was always food in the fridge and she didn’t have to miss meals she would be able to get a bit more of an appetite. Sadly what she didn’t realize was is her habit of eating less probably affected her mental and emotional state more because she wasn’t fueling her body properly. Though he probably never noticed she purposely got smaller size portions the majority of the time. Or if he would even recollect the time that she didn’t finish off her food when she had a larger portion. Then of course he wouldn’t know about the time that she took the dinner he insisted she took with her and gave it to the stray dogs and cats.
((That’s funny because I often wanted to get out of the restaurant quicker my parents actually liked to sit there for ages and I’d want to hurry up and leave, though the eating thing was different I’d just feel uncomfortable eating out and if someone pointed it out I would feel worse. LOL great comeback XD))
Shade eyed her but just gave a nod. “Okay as long as you’ve eaten enough I guess.” He realised he’d practically eaten double of what Hush has and triple of what Kim had! “Now I feel like a pig.” He said with a smirk of amusement as he collected his and Hush’s plates and brought them up to the sink, following Kim.
((I relate so much to Kim though I used to always eat small portions and I still do now though I’ve gotten a bit better I think, depends on the food. Lol I stuff myself on Thai rice I eat so much of it XD))

Kim chuckled and shook her head. “No you’re just a boy and boys eat more and girls.“ OK wasn’t necessarily true 100% of the time but people couldn’t deny often boys did he more than girls, that was actually kind of a humorous thing that she had noticed at most restaurants the men would wolf down their meal and often the girls at least took something home even if the men were eating a little bit off their plate too. And that made her smirk at the thought when she moved to head towards the bathroom to clean up and change into a pair of Pajamas she kept in there. She wanted to relax a bit more and it wasn’t like they were inappropriate they were baggy pants and a long top. Nothing quite revealing about them whatsoever. Of course she was a pretty modest person,
((Exact same I don’t like crowds and noise sometimes... I mean sometimes it’s okay when I’m in a familiar place like school I never felt uncomfortable and uni is fine or shopping centres I go to a lot, but if I’m in an unfamiliar place especially and it’s crowded I absolutely hate it. We went to this festival once and I thought it was only like a small thing idk why I thought that but then we got there and there was like thousands of people and I felt like I wanted to throw up... man that was bad... XD Because I think I also have a fear of vomiting in public so that just makes it worse))
Shade tilted his head back and laughed at her comment about boys eating more than girls. “I guess that’s true sometimes.” He said amusedly. He let her go and get changed while he sat with Hush and tried to help him figure out the gaming console to go and charge it up so perhaps he could start using it tomorrow. When Kim returned he looked to her. “Mind if we take showers and get changed. We can use our older clothes for pyjamas now Hush.” He told the younger boy with a light nudge. After all he’d bought them some slightly better clothes when he’d gone shopping while Kim had been at work, the day Brom had almost kidnaped him again...

Kim smiled and nodded. Her pajamas were purple and blue, purple background with blue flowers. It Was actually a gift, from her friend. The email back-and-forth now and then and somehow they got talking about pajamas the next thing she knew she was getting mailed something that probably spent about 30 bucks to send.
She waited for the boys to move on and move to plop on the couch. Rubbing the back of her neck and looking at the wall. Her thoughts going 1 million different directions, the way they often did and she knew she couldn’t quite hold them in place someone were to ask her what she was thinking about she honestly wouldn’t fully know she’d have a vague idea of certain concepts or feelings maybe but other than that should be clueless. So that meant one thing it was time for her to write.
It has been almost 2 weeks since the last time she wrote and in truth she hated that she had gone that long so now she hurried to get her laptop and set it up and start writing. It was more freestyle riding just whatever came to her mind which was ironic because at first it came off like A bit of a diary or journal talking about things that happened and feelings and then it transformed in the things like poetry or something that might be construed as song lyrics and then she was writing a fictitious story about two spies who had to pretend to be married even though they were just friends and this cause a lot of awkward moments between them.
((Yep... it’s hard... Though like I said it seems random I never feel that way at uni or school and that can get really crowded. Just weird))
Shade had Hush take his shower and change into his other clothes too though he decided to leave Kim be while he waited. Hush didn’t take long anyway he soon emerged and then Shade took his turn. Hush ended up staying in the bedroom though while Shade was showering, sadly admittedly still not wanting to be fully alone with Kim while he might not hear what was happening. Eventually the two of them returned to the living room in the cold clothes they’d been wearing the day they’d met Kim, a little raggedy and with some holes and tears but by no means completely unwearable. They were baggy and comfortable enough for pyjamas. Shade brought the gaucho Kim had bought him out and placed it carefully back in the gift bag where he decided he would keep the outfit, casting a smile at Kim if she looked. He then flopped onto the sofa with a contented sigh, the opposite end to Kim, while Hush sat down on the bundle of pillows and blankets on the floor since presumably that was still there. Shade cast a glance at Kim typing away in her laptop. “What you doing there?” She didn’t have to answer fully he was just curious but he honestly would have cared if she said nothing. She had a right to her privacy.

Kim did glance up seeing his smirk but she quickly lowered her gaze to the computer smiling slightly and maybe trying to hide the threatening blush again. Why did she want to blush every time he smiled at her? Was just silly! Though in her defense he really hadn’t smiled at her a whole lot had he? It seemed so sad and been through so much… Her mind drifted so that when he asked the question she blinked forgetting that her fingers were still moving because, like her creator she found that sometimes when you used to computer so much and you got so used to typing on it you could actually type without looking at the keyboard or the screen and the majority of the word you typed would actually be right and legible.
“Oh!” She looked at the computer then looked at him. “I didn’t tell you that I have, I’m a writer.” Now she was blushing, but for a different reason. “I don’t have anything published anything, but I love to write stories and doing some free writing where you just kind of whatever pops in your head you start writing it down helps and it’s been a little while since I’ve continued any of my stories I’m trying to get back in the habit. Work just takes so much out of you you now?” She chuckled someone awkwardly it was something that most people couldn’t relate to and gave her funny looks when she said she was an author. Again her creator had experience the same thing when people would ask what she did other than her job and they would quickly change the subject after she said that she was a writer. Because no one knew how to respond to that apparently.
((That’s a shame gosh people always ask what u write about when I say I write and then I’m the one who’s embarrassed to talk about it XD))
Shade cocked his head interestedly as she said she was a writer and she liked to write stories. “Oh yeah? What kinds of things do you write about?” He asked curiously, leaning back into the couch to get comfortable. He didn’t respond to her comment about work taking it out of you because yeah he knew that better than anyone... He’d had the worst kind of work... He ended up just watching Hush as he seemed to be fiddling with the empty pizza box for some reason...

Kim rub the back of her neck as she braced for the usual response. though she was pleasantly surprised he asked what she wrote question was how would he respond to her answer? “Well a little bit of everything, poems, blogs but primarily I read section… Fantasy is probably my favorite genre but I write anything really. I love making up stories...” She glanced at him from the corner of her eye wondering what he thought of that.
((Girl what kind of planet are you living in people straight away assume I write fiction and when I say I write fantasy like HP and stuff they nod and love it and want to know what my book is about XD This Guy I was talking with at work I told him how I was writing my book over the uni break and then I didn’t see him for about a week then saw him two days ago and nearly straight away he’s like how’s your writing going you gonna finish before uni goes back. People always assume fiction rather than nonfiction too for me like what in the world?! XD Though I get what you mean my mother is a bit like that she’s like why don’t you write different stuff and I’m like gotta write what you’re good at XD))
Shade only looked more interested as she told him what she wrote. “Yeah? Poems? Have a little flair for poetry do you?” He said lightly and smiled. He nodded as she said she wrote fiction and fantasy. “Got to be my favourite sort of stuff. Like Harry Potter?” He asked and then just waved his hand. “Love it. Not to mention Disney. Ever seen the film Zootopia? That movie is great.” He said before eyeing her and smiling more. “So what are some of your stories about?”

Kim was pleasantly surprised smiling brightly at him. Evan Cohenactually yeah, J. K. Rowling is one of my favorite authors Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis are probably my other favorites!” She couldn’t believe it, and then he was mentioning Disney and Zootopia. “I love Zootopia! Such a great story, and I’m kind of a sucker for animals.“ She blushed a little. “ oh… You, actually want to know?“ She couldn’t believe it her heart begin to pound excitedly and I’ll have the people asked this many questions normally they rolled her eyes or just tried to shift the conversation in a different direction because it got boring to them. “Well I write a lot of things the one I’m working on the most right now is actually a detective story. It’s about a girl trying to solve a The mysterious disappearance of seemingly random people at all have some sort of connection that she is sure of. No one will listen to her so she’s going seeking a brilliant detective for help.“ it would be a lie to say that not some of this was based on her own story but like any good author you use what you know, and anything you don’t know you cut. But she didn’t want to be a carbon copy of her story so she added her own twists into it.
((Gosh that’s just weird. Why do people got to bag on others for what they like doing - I mean unless it’s something that harms people in some way obviously - just let them do what makes them happy. I don’t see people bagging on the writer of fifty shades of grey - at least not openly and it doesn’t seem common - and look what she wrote...
oh yeah gosh... luckily most people I’ve talked to know much more about what roleplay is now.

((Even though it makes me laugh when I kind of think about yes we have had scenes where the characters have had sex XD But who cares?! XD
Sorry my phone slipped and I accidentally pressed post in posting now))

Shade jerked and pointed at her. “The Narnia books! They were my favourite as a kid! As well as Harry Potter of course!” He grinned as she said she loved Zootopia too. “I know what you mean I’m kind of a sucker for animals too. I mean...” he gestured to himself and then smirked obviously referring to the fact that he was a shape shifter he could turn into any animal he wished. He then listened on with interest as she explained the story she was writing. “That sounds really interesting I’d read it.” He said and smiled. “of course I won’t make you let me read it now but if you ever want me to I’d be willing.” He told her with a shrug.

This was the happiest and most relaxed and the biggest smiling she had ever done possibly in her whole life. “I wouldn’t mind you reading some, not one of the chapters I haven’t worked on but maybe like the first one or two if you’re interested...” she couldn’t believe he actually wanted to read any of it? I was just amazing! “Then if you like animals you might like the idea I had for a child story. It’s about a group of animal friends who can turn into humans, they’re from another world but end up getting to the human world however they don’t look quite human. Like still having ears or tail. And still having some of the instincts of animals. I guess it’s kind a like care Bears meets Narnia!” She giggled. She didn’t tell anyone about the kid story idea because she was sure they would just make fun of it!
It absolutely delighted him to hear that laugh coming from Kim and his smile seemed to show it. “tell me about it! Though admittedly when I was young I would always turn into a lion and pretend to be Aslan.” He laughed. “Such good memories.” He smiled as she talked about how she seemed to have a special kingship with animals. “I get that. I mean to be honest I haven’t interacted a whole lot with animals I more turn into them. We don’t train animals in our circus we find it too cruel. So I just fill in.” He said with a smile.
He grinned. “Truly I’d be happy to read it if you’re willing!” He then looked even more intrigued at the child’s book idea she mentioned. “That actually sounds really interesting! I’m sure even older people would like that!” He said cheerfully.
He grinned. “Truly I’d be happy to read it if you’re willing!” He then looked even more intrigued at the child’s book idea she mentioned. “That actually sounds really interesting! I’m sure even older people would like that!” He said cheerfully.

In truth she had always wanted to have some kind of special adventure, she didn’t consider the bad things that of happened to her and adventure, but Innoway every day was a little bit of an adventure just not the one she felt was the one she was looking for yet. “OK! I can print it out or if you just want to read it off my laptop…“ She cannot believe she was going to have someone read it it was kind of scary because what if he said it was no good? But I have someone who is actually interested she just couldn’t throw that away she had to jump on that opportunity before he changed his mind!
“You think? I mean I know I would like it but I guess in a lot of ways I’m still kind of a little kid. I don’t think I’m ever going to fully grow up.” She was smiling so widely and so brightly that her cheeks began to hurt. She loved it!
Shade chuckled. “Being a bird is pretty great. Any animal really. Seeing and hearing and smelling what they do, it’s quite an experience.” He grinned as she commented about him filling in for the animals part. “It’s really just pretty fun actually. And the people used to love seeing me transform into the animals too that was part of the magic as they called it.” He chuckled because obviously he was more modest than that he didn’t necessarily see it as magical. He smiled at her and waved a hand, leaning forward. “Don’t go to the trouble of printing it out I’ll just read it off your laptop if that’s fine with you.” He said. He smiled at what she said about her other story. “Growing up is overrated. I tell ya my siblings definitely kept me young.” He chuckled.

“Yeah, that’s fine. Let me pull it up and have it ready for you on my desktop.” This is so exciting! Since she didn’t want him reading more than just the first two chapters she copied them save them into a word document put on her desktop and left the others in their respective folders. Naming the one for him “Chap. 1&2 For Shade” just one of those things she did without really thinking about it.
“ you don’t know how funny that is. One of my favorite things growing up was actually Peter Pan. The idea of staying a kid forever having adventures against pirates and stuff.“ Though she honestly always had a little bit of a darker nature. Not that she didn’t like Disney in those happy cartoons but she like things had somewhat of a darker element to them more seriousness and it wasn’t until later peter pan movie that really captured a little more of what she was looking for the old cartoon was great but a little too, unrealistic. Which was an ironic oxymoron of sorts.
Shade chuckled as she said she found his ability amazing. “It’s definitely something. I get it from my father. He comes from a long line of shape-shifters.” He explained. He laughed again. “I wouldn’t say it makes me special though. It’s just a little something.”
He smiled as she said she’d get it up for him and he waited happily, totally willing to read it for her and he was really curious to see what kind of thing she has come up with.
He chuckled at her last comments about Peter Pan. “I never actually saw Peter Pan sadly..” he admitted. “But yeah adventures and staying young... can totally relate to that.” His creator feels exactly like Kim does the cartoons with a slightly darker element were always better, more interesting.

“OK… Here it is.” She turned it towards him so he could take it read it whenever he felt comfortable with. “So you don’t have to read it now if you don’t want to.“ She was suddenly getting very nervous about this. “And I could probably swing by the library and find a DVD of the Peter Pan movie I’m talking about. It’s really good, my laptop I think is able to play DVDs.” After all she had saved up pretty much all of her money just to get this laptop and it was a sort of cheap top-of-the-line. Cheap in the way that she didn’t get all the bells and whistle‘s, but top of the line and the way that it would still be good for many years it be strange if she didn’t get at least a decade out of it.
Shade raised his brows at her as he listened to her excitedly relay various possibilities and he chuckled. “Being a bird is pretty great I’ll admit. Flying is amazing.” He’d come back to that later.” He laughed. “I can’t exactly help people to know what their dog is thinking after all it’s still my own thoughts but it’s certainly interesting being a dog.” He said with a grin, which only grew as she went on. “Being a dog or a cat is how I often begged for some food when I couldn’t manage to steal for me and Hush. Though some people aren’t as generous so it’s not that reliable.” He smirked. “As for a mouse it was what I was thinking when I was suggesting they send an officer into the brothel, I could be a mouse in their pocket or something.” He said amusedly.
He smiled and took her laptop as she offered it. “I mean I don’t mind reading it now nothing else to do.” He said with a shrug. “If it’s alright with you.” He added with a glance at her. He looked surprised as she mentioned getting that Peter Pan movie. “Why don’t we get it for tomorrow?” He suggested lightly. It was already getting fairly late now after all.

Shade chuckled. “Brilliant huh? Well thank you.” He said amusedly, dipping his head in a slightly bow. He nodded and smiled as she said she’d get the movie tomorrow. He was thinking Hush might enjoy it too. When she told him about the email to the detective with the memos he seemed to go a little solemn but then sagged in relief upon seeing that the man wanted to do everything possible to put them away. He gave a firm nod. “Okay, so I’m meeting him tomorrow?” Presuming Kim answered with a yes he would then just give another nod before returning his eyes to the screen of her computer, and he fell silent as he started to read.

((It’s literally so bad when you’re just there while someone is reading your stuff I had to get my writing buddy to read a bunch of chapters last week and each time I’d just be sitting there like ahhhh what do I do? XD))
Shade’s eyes darted back and forth as he read. He was a fairly slow reader he liked to try and take things in, especially considering English wasn’t technically his first language, but he spoke it and read it as good as any English person did. He just liked to savour stories especially, sometimes he would read sentences twice if they were a little confusing or if they were good. When he was finally done his gaze flicked up back to Kim. “Wow this is great! I would want to read on!” He said cheerily.

Kim smiled. “Really?” She drew in a breath of relief. “That’s great! You didn’t think it was stupid?” After all detective stories were so common, it was hard to have a really original approach anymore to, well just about anything you wrote.
((Haha! I used to a pretty fast reader but lately I’ve kind of been slower, really trying to take in the writing and sometimes I’ll read sentences more than once XD Sometimes I’ve even been going back and reading parts I’ve already read that I liked or to understand them better XD I’ve swapped speed for savouring XD
I still like to believe I can read 60 pages in 60 mind though because I technically did once XD))
Shade gave her a look. “Of course I don’t think it’s stupid! It’s really interesting. Got me engaged. But it’s nice and easy to follow. It’s intriguing. You’ll have to let me read the whole thing when you finish it.” He told her and winked at her again playfully.
