Yeeha! How exciting! Just got in the door after working an 11 hour day, and thought I'd check in to see how GR was going. Glad to know that validated scientific methods were used for total fairness. Will get right on it....
I have chosen Adventure. So many shelves, and so many have exactly the same books on them, tried to find one with a few different ones.....hopefully something there for everybody's taste.
Wonderful choice Sunflower! Looking forward to finding some books from the ever growing Mountain that fit the bill.
Yeah, I haven't been able to get on line in days (busy with work and kids) but every night I have beeen wondering what the new shelf will be. I LOVE choosing new books for the month.
Ok, time for the next picker, randomly drawn from those who have contributed over this month. Trumpets....drums.....glockenspiel......the next reader is Natasha! Happy picking.
Cool Natasha - Can't wait to see what the next shelf is. Thanks for picking, Sunflower! How're things going in NZ?

Congrats, Natasha! And yay for dystopia! What a fun choice.Edit: Oh, and feel free to start a thread under Monthly Discussions for people to post their planned reading for March. One of my 10 classics to read for this year is second on the dystopia list: Brave New World!
Oh no. Dystopia always scares me, but what better way is there to challenge me then? Good choice, Natasha!
Super. The first page is full of books I should read but haven't.
Natasha, you are a woman after my own heart! I love dystopia! I have so many on my TBR shelf! Great shelf!
Dystopia, hmmm, not my most favorite genre...but that's why I joined Pick A Shelf in the first place, to read "outside the box"!
I don't know that I had ever heard of dystopia and when I read the discription I was very anxious that I wouldn't find any books on the list that I would want to read but I discovered that I have actually read some already. Now I just have to check my shelves to see what is there.
Hey Natasha - whose going to be the next shelf picker? Those of us who use libraries need enough time to get books.
Thanks for the birthday present! We've had some really serious shelves lately, so I tried to come up with something that would let us decide which direction we want our reading to take in April. I chose one that hopefully will let you be silly or light-hearted or serious in a variety of genres.
Our April shelf is Favorites
Happy picking, but I just have one question: are the Harry Potter books on every shelf?!
BJ Rose wrote: "I chose one that hopefully will let you be silly or light-hearted or serious in a variety of genres. Our April shelf is Favorites ..."Nice choice, BJ! I already see one book on that shelf that I wasn't going to get to this month - so it works out great for me. And happy birthday!

I haven't been on for a couple of days, but great choice BJ Rose, and Happy belated birthday. Hope you get to spend on books!
AND Yes, I think there are Harry Potter books on every shelf.
