❆ Crystal ❆ (crystal_wright) Joyce

I had fun looking through your book. I hope there is something here you will love.

Africa - Safari – a shifter book - Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock, #1) by Faith Hunter - Your Shelf - I am listening to this series as audiobooks... And, I see that you enjoy audiobooks as well. The narrator is AMAZING and the series is so great! I'm on book 4 right now, but I gave the first 3 all 5 stars!

Antarctica – Only continent with no permanent residents - a story where the Hero chooses to be isolated from other people. - Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan - New to you - This was such an amazing book. I loved it.

Asia – Largest continent - a longer book 350+ pages. Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1) by Kristin Cashore 352 pages... New to You - I found this looking for a fantasy book that you might enjoy. I haven't read it, but it sounds very interesting.

Commonwealth of Australia – One of the wealthiest places in the world per capita - Pick a book with the setting in Australia/New Zealand, the H or h from Australia/New Zealand, the author from Australia/New Zealand, or the H or h are very, very rich. - The Rosie Project (Don Tillman #1) by Graeme Simsion - New to You - fits every category here. LOL... how weird is that? Well... I loved this book. I laughed and laughed and laughed. The humor is a bit dry, but I loved it! I totally saw this as a movie with Steve Carell. I gave it 5 stars.

Europe – Full of historical landmarks/buildings - Pick a book with the Hero is from Europe. Twice Tempted (Night Prince, #2) by Jeaniene Frost - Your Shelf - I saw you read the first book but not the second one yet. I love Jeaniene Frost and ALL of her books... I know the 3rd is coming out in January and I might do that as an audiobook. The narrator is fabulous!

North America – New World - Pick a book with the setting in North America . Storm's Heart (Elder Races, #2) by Thea Harrison - Your Shelf - You loved the first and added the rest to your shelves so I'm sure you'd love to read it.

South America – hosting next Olympics 2016 and host Carnival - Pick a book that includes sports or partying. Taking Shots (Assassins, #1) by Toni Aleo - New to you (and me) sports and partying aren't really either of our genres... so this was just a wild shot pursuing the Listopia lists. It has a really high rating and sounds pretty hot.

Ocean – Includes all islands - Pick a book where with water on the cover. Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen - Your Shelf - I haven't read this yet, but a couple of my friends did and they loved it.

Hi Karen,

Thanks for the great choices.

I'll be definitely reading Insurgent. I'm already loving this series.

If time permits I'll read Virgin River and The Rosie Effect (if I can get it in time. I absolutely loved The Rosie Project when I read it a number of months ago and have been hanging out for this next installment in the series even since I found out there was another book in the series. I hate waiting!!

We didn't have much in common on our shelves, so I hope you like your picks.

1. Africa: Clean Sweep by Ilona Andrews is my favorite book of the year so far. I love the idea of innkeepers and it has both a cute dog and a shifter in the story. You could also check out Sealed with a Curse by Cecy Robson which has sisters with paranormal abilities (just slightly twisted due to a curse) and the allies they meet after being accused of a crime.

Clean Sweep (Innkeeper Chronicles #1) by Ilona Andrews Sealed with a Curse (Weird Girls, #1) by Cecy Robson

2. Antarctica: These are both from your TBR. Open Season is a good suspenseful romance or And Then Things Fall Apart sounded interesting as well.

Open Season by Linda Howard And Then Things Fall Apart by Arlaina Tibensky

3. Asia: These are both longer books. Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella was a fun chick-lit read and The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey is a pretty intriguing twist on fairy tales.

Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella The Fairy Godmother (Five Hundred Kingdoms, #1) by Mercedes Lackey

4. Australia: We have two very rich heroes here. First up is Artemis Fowl by Eion Colfer who is a very young criminal mastermind. Next is a mystery, but with a bit of romance throughout. Find out that all the talk about Eve and Roarke is true with Naked in Death by J.D. Robb

Artemis Fowl (Artemis Fowl, #1) by Eoin Colfer Naked in Death (In Death, #1) by J.D. Robb

5. Europe: First is a mixture of fantasy and romance with Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. Then we have a circus traveling through Europe where Fran learns to embrace her differences and falls for the bad boy/vampire in Confessions of a Vampire's Girlfriend by Katie MacAlister. Both books have a lot of humor in them.

Howl's Moving Castle (Howl's Moving Castle, #1) by Diana Wynne Jones Confessions of a Vampire's Girlfriend (Ben and Fran, #1-2) by Katie MacAlister

6. North America: Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis is a sweet love story (and finding oneself) set in a small town. Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep is the start of a great series where children of different pantheons are sent to school to learn to fight the reapers. I really liked that it had gypsies and Amazons and Valkyries and Spartans, etc.

Simply Irresistible (Lucky Harbor, #1) by Jill Shalvis Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep

7. South America: Both of these have parties in them. Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder is a great fantasy story. Yelena becomes the king's poison taster to escape a more immediate death. Learning the ins and outs of it is fascinating as well as following all the plots in the kingdom. Or there is a short story, Paper Hearts by Maureen Childs that has a town preparing for a Valentine's Dance.

Poison Study (Study, #1) by Maria V. Snyder Paper Hearts by Maureen Child

Ocean: A cute love story with lots of humor - Love Overboard by Janet Evanovich. Or check out In a Fix by Linda Grimes which has Ciel (who can take the shape of anyone) getting more than she bargained for on what she thought would be an easy job to get a marriage proposal for a client.

Love Overboard by Janet Evanovich In a Fix (In a Fix, #1) by Linda Grimes
