Kerri_M | 590 comments Just finished The Novice by AA Trudi Canavan #2 in the series. Enjoying this series for the return to a fantasy series, I haven't read any for many years before starting this series a few months ago.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments L.J.M. Owen's latest foray into crime is dark and gritty: The Great Divide features Detective Jake Hunter and I think I might even prefer him to her other protagonist, Dr Elizabeth Pimms. More of him will definitely be welcome.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments Thanks to Penguin Michael Joseph Australia for this debut novel Maggie’s Going Nowhere by Aussie author, Rose Hartley. Even though the eponymous Maggie wasn't all that likeable to start with, it was a very entertaining read.

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments History and mystery, a great combination! C.J. Sansom's Shardlake series is terrific, and the third book, Sovereign, finds our favourite hunchbacked lawyer mixed up again in the dangerous power struggles of Henry VIII's England.

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments I just enjoyed a welcome visit to Three Pines where Louise Penny shows us the Montreal art world and Clara's unique talent - or is it just A Trick of the Light? I love these people, especially Clara, (and I never liked the victim anyway).

Excellent! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did (I might be a little biased as it’s right up my genre)
