There's just something about the 80's and horror (and check out that awesome cover!)

Kerri_M | 590 comments Just finished comics/graphic novels (sorry not entirely sure of the distinction between) from Robert Kirkman
The Walking Dead, Vol. 1 Days Gone Bye by Robert Kirkman ,
The Walking Dead, Vol. 2 Miles Behind Us by Robert Kirkman and
The Walking Dead, Vol. 3 Safety Behind Bars by Robert Kirkman

While flicking through my library's online Libby catalogue, I came across these, and having watched the TV show thought well, why not?

Very quick reads for me (graphic novels, comics are a bit lost on me, I barely pay attention to the drawings and just follow the dialogue I am afraid), but I enjoyed the first one enough to go on to the following volumes - even if it is mainly to see the differences /similarities with the TV series.

Overall, I will give ★★★☆ a fun hour or two.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments While I tend to read mostly fiction, now and then a non-fiction book catches my eye. I quite enjoyed Mary Norris's debut, Between You & Me: Confessions of a Comma Queen, as I did this one, Greek to Me: Adventures of the Comma Queen.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9974 comments I have read one book in Tony Cavanaugh's Darien Richards series (and I have the others in my enormous TBR), so I was pleased to get his new novel, Blood River through NetGalley. It's excellent Aussie crime fiction that will keep the reader guessing to the end (although the killer was on my suspect list from the start).

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments The Soldier's Curse shows 1825 Australia and the British penal colony in Port Macquarie, NSW, warts and all. It's the first of a series that Meg Keneally and her father, Tom Keneally, have planned to bring history to life. I've got to say, I'm sure glad I didn't live then!
