Daughter of Smoke & Bone
question
Does anyone know any other good fantasy books like this?

I love it and I want more young adult series like this. Other books I have read is the grisha trilogy, graceling, and poison study any suggestions?
Deborah Harkness. Her books are great ! A Discovery of Witches, Shadow of Night and The Book of Life. I recommend them all. Laini has written 2 other books to sequel Daughter of Smoke and Bone and a novella about Zussanne and Mik, Night of Cake & Puppets.
I'd second the people who suggested Maggie Stiefvator. Anything by her is awesome.
Maria
I feel like Maggie can tell her story in 10 pages the rest of the book is just fluff thats trying to hard to be cute.
I highly recommend the His Fair Assassins series by Robin LaFevers. To me I think it has a similar feel to the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series. I love them so much.
I agree with the Scorpio Races and Shatter Me recommendations.
Also, Marissa Meyer's Lunar Chronicles (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, Fairest) are very well written.

There are so many good series out there that it's so hard to select just one:
Throne of Glass - Sarah Maas
The Darkest Minds - Alexandra Bracken
Lux - Jennifer Armentrout
Under the Never Sky - Veronica Rossi
Penryn and the End of Days - Susan Ee
Fire and Thorns - Rae Carson
I could go on for days. I will say that one of my favorite young adult authors was Samantha Young. She self-published several young adult series that are all great. She is now with a publishing company and only writing adult novels, but her prior young adult books are well worth the read.

Mara Dyer series, Angel Fall is great, and I just finished Tormented Soul which was really good
If you haven't read Throne of Glass I think you'll like it. Not as serious as Smoke and Bones but still very good
Throne of Glass series! The first books is just the set-up for the next two books and after that, it is really, REALLY great! I'm currently reading Heir of Fire now and it is so good! Celaena is so Kick-ass! I love the DOSAB trilogy and I think that TOG series is as great. Karoulaena all the way!

While I don't know that it's as close a book-a-like as the others (Super powers, no mythology), I agree with the person who suggested Tahereh Mafi. The Shatter Me series is wonderful.

And yes, the Shadowhunter world is wonderful.

I agree with Malia, anything by Tamora Pierce is amazing -she writes a lot of medieval fantasy which I love. She was one of my huge role models growing up and I love her writing (if you want to see what I write just click on my page, I don't want to spam this!). Also, Sarah Maas, Sherwood Smith's Crown Duel, and Tahereh Mafi. Last one isn't medieval more future dystopia but so good. And I love Cassandra Clare.
The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas is amazing! I recommend starting with The Assassin's Blade, which is the prequel to The Throne of Glass. If you like strong female characters, I also recommend anything by Tamora Pierce (magic and female knights), The Strange Angels series by Lili St. Crow (vampires, werewolves, and a school for both of them), The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor (beautiful descriptive writing...and what if the story Lewis Carroll told about Alice was fake?), The Pellinor series by Allison Croggon(high fantasy-similar to Lord of the Rings), and the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa (a lost fey princess in a modern world)
Just read a really great book Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea and now there is also a sequel too!
Really there are so many great fantasy books out there!

Hi, I would recommend the Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick and Afterlife Saga by Stephannie Hudson.
Born at midnight series by C.C. Hunter is really good, Divergent is an obvious popular one, The host by Stephanie Meyer is awesome. I haven't read it yet but The Mortals Instruments series from Cassandra Clare is that genre and supposed to be really good. Hope that helps
