Just re-read the 2nd book in the Witchlands series - Windwitch by Susan Dennard. Much better reading the second time, particularly given that I went immediately from the first book to the second. 4 stars13/20
Just completed another book in the Witchlands series - Sightwitch by Susan Dennard. I normally don't read the novellas that delve into the past during a fantasy series, but I'm really glad I've started breaking that habit. This novella was extremely helpful in explaining some of the background around the Witchlands, and I enjoyed getting to know Ryber a bit better too. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars14/20
Post 442 updated with the second book below.. need to turn to these favoured series/authors again soon!A Court of Thorns and Roses (4novels) by Sarah J Maas

Just completed another book in the Witchlands series - Bloodwitch by Susan Dennard. Wow, what a way to continue a series!!!! I'm impressed that she's bringing together so many disparate threads and weaving the stories in and out. I love the progression of the characters! My only criticism is that I'm confused about the larger narrative, but I think that's her goal for this book. Cannot wait for the next book in the series! Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars15/20
I am going to try for 10 total books!Progress: 2/10
Millennium - Stieg Larsson
1. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Jan. 24)
Alex Cross - James Patterson
1. Along Came a Spider (Apr. 1)
Updated message 145. Now at 18/33. I updated the total of books. Darn challenges in other groups keep adding to my list....☺
Just completed the first in the Red Mars trilogy - Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson. I enjoyed this book's premise. The writing was good, and it had just the right amount of science for me. I'm definitely continuing with the series. However, the portrayals of women were skewed into parody (either the madonna or the whore or the shrew, etc). A sign of the times in which this book was written. That was my main criticism of the book, but it's still worth reading. 4 stars16/20
