Rosie Wowa. Just did a 9 minute and 40 seconds workout with no rests. I want to read my book...but I also want to do another workout......

really, it's quite inconvenient to get athletically motivated at nighttime when your family is asleep. (Actually, my brother is probably on his computer right now. But everyone else is probably asleep or trying to sleep.)

message 302: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I'll check out Rebecca Louise's videos. I just searched her name, and I think you spelled it right.
I'm not sure how many pushups in a row I can do now. Actually, why don't I test that out right now. Okay, so one minute.
I did 30 in a row. I think I could do more if I really wanted to, but my arms started to ache from yesterday's workout, so I stopped.
As for pullups, I'm not sure. I haven't really tried. Maybe...two? One? XD I really need to work on that. I have been doing at least 10 pushups a day lately, so at least that will improve my arm strength. I would lift weights like my brother, but because we don't have anywhere else to do it, I'd have to do it in the cold, drafty garage, and I really like going to the gym better, so I think I'll stick with at home workouts with no equipment.

message 303: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Today I'm going to see a play with my grandma, and my family and I are going to decorate the Christmas tree while listening to Christmas music! I can't wait! : D :D :D
I had a dream last night that I was at a bookstore but couldn't find Queen of Air and Darkness. It was..really sad, actually. It started raining, and somehow it got through the roof and hit me on the head, so we had to leave the bookstore, and I hadn't even bought the book! : (
Also, I think the dream involved someone's horrible dad who would throw glass bottles at everyone. (I don't know anyone like that, don't worry) It was scary.

message 304: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Thanks! I'm hoping to be able to do more. My brother can do like 60 in a row, although I watched him, and he's totally arching his back. BAD FORM!!! Still, it's sort of impressive.
Yup, it sure wasn't pleasant. Fortunately, none of them hit me, but I think I almost stepped on the glass remains. It was a weird dream.

message 305: by Rosie (new)

Rosie 'tis 7:42 AM my friends, and I just did a 10 minute ab workout. I should change into my clothing to get ready for school, but I sort of want to do another ab workout. HMMMM. The choices.

Well, obviously I'm going to finish writing some entries/posts in this journal thing first.

message 306: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I've recently realized that the first word of my username and this journal are the same. (Random.) If you think that was a pun (or something) or some stupid attempt at cleverness, you're wrong. 'twas entirely unintentional, and I didn't even realize I had done that till...like two days ago. I think.

message 307: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Last night, we decorated the Christmas tree, and it looks super super super beautiful! Last year, we bought tons of fancy LED lights that can switch color, so the lights twinkle and change. They're all different colors, but they flash on and off every little while. We also hung tons of ornaments on the tree. Scratch that. It was only me. My brother sat on a beanie pillow thing and "supervised". My dad sort of just sat on a chair and watched, although he did help with the lights and putting the star on the top. My mom did help, though. She gave me the ornaments with their hooks. I think she would have done more, but she danced the night before, and her ankle hurt a lot. I don't think I ever mentioned that, but she broke her ankle about a year or two ago. It was a pretty bad break, but she's almost recovered.
ANYWAY. We decorated the tree, and everyone agreed it was like a shrine to me because there was an ornament of me as a 7 year old. (A picture.) XD We listened to Christmas music as we decorated, and afterwards I played Rummy with my dad. He annihilated me, but I got 190 points the second game, so HA.

message 308: by Rosie (new)

Rosie YAY. I did a 2nd ab workout. 'tis now 7:59 AM, and I should be changing for school, but I'll do that in a minute or so.
Yesterday, my grandma took me to a play about the middle sister from Pride and Prejudice. Her name was...Mary, I think. Or maybe that was one of her sisters. I'm not entirely sure, because I've only actually read half of the book, and that was a while ago. The play was pretty good, but it was super cheesy. Afterwards, my grandma took me to a little bakery across the street, and I got some hot chocolate and an apple tart. The apple tart was delicious, but the hot chocolate was super bitter. It was raining outside, but overall it was an awesome trip.

message 309: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I love watching animatics on youtube. (Animated videos of a song.)

message 310: by Rosie (new)

Rosie For my gymnastics class, we're doing Secret Santa, and I just bought my person some gifts! I'm super excited because we're giving each other the gifts this Saturday at the team sleepover! However, the title is sorta deceiving. Basically everyone already knows who their secret Santa is because we spoke among ourselves about who we got last Wednesday, and there's only like three people who don't know. XD

message 311: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I don't know the girl very well, so I got sort of random things. So here's the list:
-a tiny rubber chicken
-a spy pen (erasable ink)
-an enormous candy cane
-a bag of chocolate toffees
-super woman soap (soap...with superwoman on the packaging. don't ask why. i don't know)
-red fuzzy winter holiday themed socks (I'm not sure what holiday she celebrates, so I made sure that Santa wasn't on them, in case she celebrates Hanukkah or Solstice instead)
-adorable stickers of alpacas
I think that's it. I really really really hope she isn't allergic to any foods, because I'd feel horrible if she couldn't eat the candy things I got her.

message 312: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I also got an advent calendar at the store we bought the presents for my Secret Santa. It's the 10th day of December, so, (I'm not guilty, although I'll regret eating all of that sugar tomorrow....) I ate ten chocolates today. Yup. Sorry not sorry fellas.

message 313: by Rosie (new)

Rosie AGHHHHHH My science homework requires me to write a summary of some chemical reaction business. Ick. I can do that, but I don't want to.
Of course, that's a very common occurrence. XD

message 314: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Ooh, yum. Yesterday, I joined the cooking club meating after school. We met in the staff room, but because there were like 17 people, hardly anyone did anything. Basically, we got free food.
The food was a delicious cookie like thing: On the bottom layer was cookie dough, then there was oreos, then on top was a layer of fudge. After being cooked, we put caramel sauce on the top. And MMMMMMM was it delicious.

message 315: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Me too! But now I've got an advent calendar, so I get a tiny piece of chocolate tomorrow! Yay

message 316: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Tomorrow I have a band concert. I'm feeling sort of horrible because I'm extremely under prepared. I can't play all the high notes, and I think I play the flute weird. (Maybe I'm putting it to my mouth wrong.) I'll just have to pretend I'm playing music for the songs I can't do... *sobs self piteously*

message 317: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Since I'm still injured, at gymnastics today, all I did was conditioning. My assistance coach made me do a ton of arm exercises (because basically no arm exercises will hurt my hip), and I can already tell that I'll be sore tomorrow. I'm actually glad, though, because I like the feeling of being sore. It makes me feel like I worked really hard.

message 318: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I haven't been able to go to karate class this past week because almost everything we do during class would hurt my hip. (All the kicks... 😭)

message 319: by Rosie (new)

Rosie During lunch today, I went online on a one minute typing test site. I got 123 WPM and showed my teacher. So basically, now I get to have a typing battle with her tomorrow during lunch! I'm sort of excited. (I did this once during 3 years against my technology teacher and won. I was really shocked because the pressure of everyone's eyes staring at my fingers made me mess up.)

message 320: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I got an A on my science quiz! I got 38 out of 40. I was feeling pretty good about that until I learned that someone had gotten 45 out of 40 because of all the extra credit questions. I totally look up to her more than I did before, but I'm also jealous. Extremely jealous. XD

message 321: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I love the youtuber InsaneReader's videos. He's hilarious.

message 322: by Rosie (new)

Rosie We get to work on our short stories in language arts class for the next two weeks, but I already started mine about 2 months ago, so I'm on page 23. Well, I'm actually on page 40 now because the teacher wanted us to make everything double spaced.

message 323: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I love floor hockey! We played it in PE class today again, and although being goalie is really boring, it's also super stressful because you're everyone's last hope, so basically all the roles are fun to play. Defense, offense, and goalie. I have to say, I like defense the best, though.

message 324: by Rosie (new)

Rosie On Tuesday was health class. (My PE teacher teaches health class.) I shall not go into further details, but I must say, there will never be a time that health class is not awkward. Even when your teacher says everything in a totally straight face, no laughter. I wonder if she ever thought to herself as a child, I want to be a health teacher when I grow up!

message 325: by Rosie (new)

Rosie My mom told me to not stay up until 12:00 AM today/tomorrow, but I think I'll fail. I want to watch youtube videos, and I want to do at least one more workout. I did two this morning and had gymnastics today, but...I'm an overachiever, basically.

message 326: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Okay, I've decided to do a workout now. G'bye, humanoid creatures. (Credit to that phrase: person at my school named Samiah. I like the phrase so I think I'll use it from now on.) I'm going to try to go to sleep after the workout, or at least I'll be too tired to type any more on here.

message 327: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Good morning, my friends. I'm super sore from yesterday's workout, and I'm also tired because I didn't get much sleep. Again.

Also, yesterday, after gymnastics my grandma took my brother and I to a place where an astronaut gave a big speech. Apparently he took the most pictures in outer space ever, and he spent the...second most, I think, time in outer space. But yeah, it was really awesome. I did fall asleep for a while sometime in the middle, though.

message 328: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Hey fellas. Today, I ran a mile during PE. (Four laps around the track.) On the long ends of the track, I ran, and on the short ends, I walked. (I copied two other girls who were doing that. In my opinion, it was a pretty good way to pace myself for the first time in a while that I've actually run long distance.) Unfortunately, I didn't realize that my hip would get even more severely injured, so now it aches when I walk. The only time my hip doesn't hurt when I'm sitting still.
OUCH.
But- I'm seeing a physical therapist tomorrow! Hopefully she will know what's wrong and it'll be fixable. Hopefully.
In case anyone is wondering, my time was 8 minutes, 15 seconds. I know, I know, wimpy. Especially for someone that exercises four days a week and works out every day. I like to think I'll do better next month when my hip is healed and I've practiced running more. (In PE class, we're going to run a mile every month and record our times. EUUUUUUUGHHHHh and sorta yay. Dunno.)

message 329: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Just now, I had a band concert! We played like 5 songs, and although I totally sucked because I was under-prepared, I think everything sounding pretty awesome! It was only the advanced band playing, so it was rather short, but I liked it. It was a nice amount of time.
I wore basically what I wore for my Halloween costume, but minus the suit jacket thing: Black dress pants, a white button up shirt, and pointed, slightly heeled shoes with buckles on the front. (My hip aches at the memory of walking, especially walking in those, but I must say that I looked kinda classy. I like looking classy, but I hardly have any classy clothing.)
One of the songs we played was Sleigh Ride (the Christmas song), and it sounded great, but the trumpets making noises that were supposed to sound like horses whinnying sounding more like dying elephants. No offense, trumpets. XD

message 330: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Currently sitting in half lotus on my bed, sucking a candy cane, and doing math homework. I'm pretty content.

I know that contentment will be lost once I have to start working on my science homework. 😫

message 331: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Next week during science class, we get to work with some substance that can burn through clothing and skin! Sounds fun. :D

message 332: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I had a nightmare that I got 80 answers wrong on a quiz...and I'm not sure how many answers I got right, but generally quizzes don't have that many questions.

message 333: by Rosie (new)

Rosie My throat hurts. My hip hurts. My arms hurt. My legs hurt.

Why? Well, I ate a candy cane yesterday, so that explains why I'm feeling under the weather. I really need to stop eating sugar, but Christmas is the only season that I get to eat candy canes! My hip hurts because I injured it, and it got worse yesterday after I ran a mile. My arms hurt because on Wednesday, I spent two hours at gymnastics doing only conditioning because I couldn't do anything else because of my stupid hip, and at least half or two thirds of the two hours I spent doing arm exercises. My legs hurt because I ran a mile, and I don't usually do that.

message 334: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I just went to my physical therapy lesson, and I'm super happy! I just have to rest up and not do sports today and this weekend, and then, next week, I can start doing my regular sports again! The physical therapist was a really really bizarre person, but I liked her. I had to leave early for school to go to her office, which meant that I had to leave my band party early, because today we had a band party because we did well at the concert last night. I didn't really mind though; I was just sitting and doing homework while everyone around me did random things.

message 335: by Rosie (new)

Rosie The physical therapist said that my sacrum was crooked. Now, it's fixed, but my body needs to get used to having it back in place. (I hope I didn't spell sacrum wrong.)

message 336: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Tonight at my school is an activity night. I'm going to go and see whether anyone wants to play a board game with me. Or something. Or I might just wander around the gym because no one will recognize me. (The floor vibrates, the rainbow lights blink and spin around the room, and the actual lights are turned off. It's pitch black except for the party light things, and the sound is always turned up SUPER high. You can only really see the shape of people around you, but the energy is sort of cool.) Also, I want food. Even if it's not free.

message 337: by Rosie (new)

Rosie In my advisory class, the teacher gave everyone three donut holes! She only has one advisory class, and that's on Fridays, so it wasn't that big of a deal, but because she's sort of an intense, loud, and sometimes cranky person, it was pretty awesome. She's also my science teacher.
Everyone got one regular donut hole, one powdered sugar covered donut hole, and one chocolate covered donut hole. It was all super super scrumptious. ^﹏^

message 338: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Tomorrow, at my gymnastics gym, we're having the team sleepover! Everyone who competes on the team is coming. That's about eleven people, I think. I won't be able to do much of the gymnastics because my PT told me I can't, but it will still be fun. I'm hoping I can actually loosen up for once. :D Also, we're giving each other everyone's secret Santa gifts, so for that I'm super excited!!!

message 339: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Welp. I decided to not go to the activity night, as I'm tired and need sleep and frankly, the food is...
really unhealthy. It still tastes good though..

message 340: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I was watching a youtube video and started full on laughing, and then I choked on my saliva and started coughing. Wow, that was sort of shameful. And ouch, my throat.

message 341: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Good morning. The dreadful time has come; I must clean my room. It's super messy in here, and I'm cleaning of my own consent, but I'm not looking forward to it.

message 342: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I think I'd like to be a stuntwoman when I'm older. It sounds like an exciting job, and though I will probably get injured a lot, it involves gymnastics and martial arts, and I get to star in movies. :D

message 343: by Rosie (new)

Rosie XD I'll try! I've gotten used to falling and getting injured because of gymnastics though, so I don't think I'll sustain any critical, lasting, permanent injuries. Hopefully

message 344: by Rosie (new)

Rosie So. It has been around a week. I'll update ya'll on my life: Firstly, I went to my team sleepover. It was super fun, and I feel like I bonded with everyone a lot more. Everyone except one team member was there, and altogether, I think there was eleven of us. There was also our assistant coach. Our head coach wasn't there, but I think that'd be too awkward. He's a lot older than all of us anyway, and the assistant coach is our age. She just graduated college. :D

Anyway, my feet hurt for a couple days after the sleepover because we played a game called the Mat Game. We set up mats on the floor, and it was sort of like red light green light. Some of the mats were big, and others were small. One person was at one end, and everyone else was at the other. The people who weren't chosen to be at the front would crawl and hide behind the mats and try to sneak up and touch the person at the front, but the person at the front got to point out if they saw anyone sticking out from behind a mat when they turned around. They had their back turned for about 2 seconds, and then they would whip around. It was fun, but, like I said, sliding on the floor got me a ton of rug burns on my feet. I don't regret it, though.

Everyone stayed up till around 4:00 AM or later, and because we had to wake up at 8 AM to leave because there were classes, everyone got 4 hours of sleep or less. I was totally exhausted, but it was sooooo fun. Everyone got delirious after 12:00 am, and we played duck duck goose, jumped around, and genuinely went mad. I shared a trampoline with two other girls, and everyone kept sliding to the middle, but it was fun. I didn't sleep much, but in that small amount of time, I slept well.

My secret Santa had me as their secret Santa, so we exchanged gifts. : D I got a star ornament, candy, and a sequined pillow. The sequined pillow was the kind you can draw on because the sequins are different colors on one side. The back of the pillow is super soft and fuzzy.

When I got home after the sleepover, I slept for four and a half hours, ate lunch, and went to hang out with a friend. That was Sunday. I was utterly exhausted, but yeahhhhh the sleepover was awesome. :D I also played Super Smash Bros with one of the two boys on the team, and I don't think he hates me! Yay. I like Super Smash Bros. I always play as Samus. Our family has a Wii that we hardly ever use, but I remember that I liked playing that game. And Mario.

message 345: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Ehem. So, I had a science test on Wednesday, a math test on Tuesday, and a language arts quiz and band quiz today. I've spent soooo much time studying for the tests, and it's finally all over. Boy, am I glad. I also spent a lot of time working on a novella I'm writing for language arts class. I'm on page 31, I think. (It's not double spaced, and the writing is size 12.)
Speaking of language arts: I learned that my language arts teacher wakes up at 4 am and runs six miles before she comes to school! Just...wow. What a role model. I wish I could do that, but I don't get enough sleep as it is, and I'm super paranoid and would think that I would get kidnapped if I got up that early, so 6 am it is.
Also, I'm giving a really pretty Christmas tree card I made to my LA teacher tomorrow. I'm also giving her a potted plant. The potted plant is from my mom, who heard that I love my LA teacher, so yeah.
Also, tomorrow, everyone in the class is going to read each other's stories anonymously through a classroom site, and we're going to peer edit everyone's. We're also going to drink hot chocolate at the same time. (My language arts teacher is awesome. XD)

message 346: by Rosie (new)

Rosie At the team sleepover, the assistant coach gave everyone a homemade necklace with their name on it. (A piece of metal with their name engraved or stamped on it.) Well, everyone except the 2 boys. She wasn't sure whether they would want necklaces, so she got them chocolate. The assistant coach, Page, is a...metal smith, or whatever the term is. She's also a tattoo artist. And a gymnastics coach. She might have another job too. She has a lot.

message 347: by Rosie (new)

Rosie At the team sleepover (I know I know I'm mentioning it AGAIN, sorry), everyone jumped around on the mats as if we were playing the floor is lava. That was super fun, and I think all the leaping might have made my hip worse, because though it doesn't hurt that much when I walk, certain movements STILL make it pop painfully. We also played Captain's Coming, where you have a partner and there are all sorts of moves you do. If you're the last team to get into the correct position after the coach yells out which one it is, (there are names) you're out. It goes on until there's only one team of two people left, and it's super fun.

message 348: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Karate today was fun! The original sensei (I'm not sure what his name is because I was never told) is recovering from knee surgery, so the head sensei, the Shehan, taught today. He says he might for the next weeks or months, depending on how fast Sensei heals.

message 349: by Rosie (new)

Rosie There's a girl my half/distant friend is friends with, and she told me that she's been doing takewando since she was 4 and that she's a black belt.

I may have already mentioned this. I don't want to go back and check though.

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO jealous. Gymnastics is fun, but I wish I'd been enrolled in some sort of martial arts training when I was younger so that I could be super skilled now. : (

message 350: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I really want to read A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi. Tahereh Mafi's a really awesome author, and a youtube called Jessethereader that I'm subscribed to said it was good.
