Rosie My brother and my dad (and mom, maybe) are all watching a TV show in the living room. I think it's the inappropriate Netflix one about vikings. I feel rather excluded. Not that that's awful, because I don't like the viking show, but.......
I want to play Rummy. (The card game.) I cannot play it by myself. sighhhhhhhhhh

Rosie AN AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG THING: I DON'T HAVE ANY HOMEWORK THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!! AND THERE'S A FOUR DAY WEEKEND, BECAUSE TOMORROW IS THANKSGIVING, THE NEXT DAY IS GRADING DAY, AND THEN THERE'S THE WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rosie At the end of science class and during art class, I made a little comic about potato chips on the back of my sketchbook.
That was fun. Still, potato chips are greasy, unhealthy, and not good for you.
BUT
they're delicious, sooooooooooooo

Rosie I wrote BOWL CAR on my arm before I left for gymnastics today because I ate a meal while my mom drove me, and I wanted to remember that I needed to bring the bowl inside, but it turned out that my dad picked me up from gymnastics, so that was fruitless.

message 155: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I'm really sad because there's no karate practice tomorrow. : ( AND, to top it off, there's no gymnastics practice or open gym on Friday either. ahhhhhhhh I'm going to eat so much during Thanksgiving, and I won't have any sports to burn off those sugary calories.
oh well

message 156: by Rosie (new)

Rosie During gymnastics and/or karate practice, my glasses always get all fogged up whenever I'm training really hard, which makes it difficult to see. That can get really annoying, but it's a good way of measuring whether or not I should be working harder. If my glasses are super fogged up, it means I'm sweating a lot and training hard. If they're not fogged up, then I need to stop being lazy.

message 157: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I have Hamilton music stuck in my head. (Non-stop.) (As in, the song Non-Stop, not that I have music stuck in my head non stop. Although, that's also true.)
(view spoiler)

Rosie What are you waiting for?
What do you stall for? (what?)
We won the war
What was it all for?
Do you support this constitution?
Of course
Then defend it
And what if you’re backing the wrong horse?
Burr, we studied and we fought and we killed
For the notion of a nation we now get to build
For once in your life, take a stand with pride
I don’t understand how you stand to the side
I’ll keep all my plans
Close to my chest (wait for it, wait for it, wait)
I’ll wait here and see
Which way the wind
Will blow
I’m taking my time
Watching the
Afterbirth of a nation
Watching the tension grow
I am sailing off to London
I’m accompanied by someone
Who always pays
I have found a wealthy husband who will keep
Me in comfort for all my days
He is not a lot of fun, but there’s no one who
Can match you for turn of phrase
My Alexander
Angelica
Don’t forget to write
Look at where you are
Look at where you started
The fact that you’re alive is a miracle
Just stay alive, that would be enough
And if your wife could share a fraction of your time
If I could grant you peace of mind
Would that be enough?

ahhhhhhhh *wipes away a tear*
Lin Manuel Miranda is incredible

message 159: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I'm going to go ask my dad if he will play Rummy with me. I practiced shuffling some more, sooooooooooo

I wonder who will win? Pewdiepie or T-series...
T-series will probably win eventually, as it's not just one person making videos, and it's an entire country. (I think. This is what I've heard, but I haven't done much research into it.) I hope Pewdiepie prevails, though, because for one thing, he's the "king" of youtube, and I think it's amazing how one person could get so famous, and for another, he and Marzia are such a cute couple.
That doesn't really have to do with anything, but yeahhhhhh
It's just my opinion.

message 160: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Anyway, goodnight everyone. I'm going to try to go to sleep earlier than I usually do, so I'm not exhausted in the morning, and so that I wake up at a healthy time. : )

message 161: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Emily wrote: "I love Hamilton so much it is like my oxygen. Im readin this huge biography about Alexander Hamilton and I've been reading it for abut 6 months. I am about 300 some pages through the way so i have ..."

Cool! I think that's the biography that Lin Manuel Miranda read and got inspired through.

message 162: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Happy Thanksgiving organisms! All morning, I've been making pie with my mom! I hadn't originally planned to do this, but she started baking, and I wanted to help, so I did. We made a pumpkin pie and some creamy pie. Both are sugar free and dairy free. (Gluten free, too...I think.) We used stevia and coconut cream/coconut milk.

message 163: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I'm really sore from gymnastics yesterday. My legs hurt.

message 164: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Right now, I'm wearing my mom's long sleeved, red dress. We're going to my grandparents' house for dinner, so I wanted to wear something nice, but all my dresses are too small now. I'm also wearing black capri leggings.

message 165: by Rosie (new)

Rosie We've been playing music all morning, and this song called "Waiting For Love" by Avicii came on. The music video with the animated dog is sooooooooo sad. Anyone reading this, I recommend you watch it.

message 166: by Rosie (new)

Rosie (sad, but in a happy way)

message 167: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I can't wait till dinner time, because dessert is going to be soo delicious! I helped make some, so I'll also be sort of proud. (My mom made most of it, though. I just assisted.) I wonder what type of pie my grandparents are making. I just hope I don't get a stomach ache tomorrow from eating too much. That might be difficult.

message 168: by Rosie (new)

Rosie (Right now, it is 1:38 AM where I live.)

message 169: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Oh my gosh! I'm on page 5 now. I didn't notice. Well, I'm sort of happy now.

message 170: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Try to appreciate the small things.

message 171: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I wish there were such things as nose hats or nose muffs. Noses can get super cold in cold weather, but then again, nose hats/muffs probably wouldn't fit on noses, unless the person with the nose had a very large nose. (Like my dad. He has a very pointy nose.)

message 172: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Did you know that in ancient times or a while ago, samurais would be trained to be able to swallow their tongue, so if they were about to be tortured and interrogated, they could protect their employer/boss's secrets by dying? Fascinating. And a bit horrible.

message 173: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I was scrolling through Instagram, and I came across a video of someone taking pearls from an oyster. I got super worried, because I thought it might hurt the oyster, so I googled "does taking pearls hurt the oyster?" and this is what came up:

Not only does removing a pearl not kill the oyster that produced it, Pearl Farmers are extremely careful not to harm their oysters… In fact, pearl farmers typically use surgical-style instruments to harvest pearls. As oysters age, they typically produce better and better pearls.

This is from a site called Pearls.com
I'm super relieved

message 174: by Rosie (new)

Rosie So. Right now, I'm sitting in a car driving to my grandparents' house with my brother, mother, and father. My dad turned on a really weird thanksgiving song, and- thank god, he turned it off. Anyway, it's 4:04, and I guess we're going early so my mom can help my grandparents cook. Or something. But God, typing on a phone is slow. Especially because I'm using proper grammar and punctuating things. As soon as I finish typing something, that something is no longer relevant. Agh, I need to wAit until we arrive to post this because wifi.

message 175: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Okay, so for some reason, my phone wouldn't allow me to post anything anymore, so I'll go over what happened-
I ate dinner (it was delicious, and because my grandparents have a really nice, clean, organized, color coordinated house, it was also really classy; there was piano music playing while we ate dinner and drank out of crystal goblets. We had gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans, and turkey. I had sparkling apple cider. Like I said, dinner was delicious. Unfortunately, I was really full afterwards, but I ate dessert anyway. (A slice of pumpkin pie, cheesecake, and some whipped cream. All of it was made without sugar or gluten.)

message 176: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Afterwards, I played many rounds of Rummy with my grandpa and my dad. (It alternated. A few turns I played against my grandpa, a few against my dad. They won by 170 points, but I like to think that I did pretty well, considering my grandpa has been playing poker with his buddies once a week for decades.) I also practiced shuffling, and my grandma showed me a color pallet thing that compliments my skin tone. (She went to a store in a mall a while ago that has different color schemes like winter, summer, autumn, and spring that compliment different people. Mine is winter.)
And...let's see. I'm going to see a play with her in a week or two. (It's about the middle sister in Pride and Prejudice, apparently.)

message 177: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Also:
This weekend, on Sunday, I'm going to watch my friend perform Swan Lake. (Ballet.)
Also, tomorrow, I'm going to see Fantastic Beasts:The Crimes of Grindelwald in the front row in 3D. SOOO I'm pretty excited for this weekend. But I'm hoping to work out tomorrow for some amount of time. Crunches and stuff.

message 178: by Rosie (new)

Rosie The actor of Newt Scamander is very attractive. xD I'm going to go search him online and see if I can watch some interviews with him on Youtube. I really love his accent, though.

Okay, so his name is Eddie Redmayne. Strange last name.

message 179: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Good night peoples

message 180: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Never mind. The only benefit of going to sleep at a healthy time was waking up at a normal enough time. (Last night, I went to sleep at 10:01 PM and awoke at 9:30 AM.) I think I'll draw or read for awhile. Actually, I wonder whether, in that sentence, "a while" or "awhile" was proper grammar. I'm going to search that.

message 181: by Rosie (new)

Rosie That awkward moment when you can't tell whether that sound was your stomach grumbling or the rain pounding on the roof...

message 182: by Rosie (new)

Rosie According to dictionary.com, the answer is:
These two terms represent different parts of speech. The two-word expression a while is a noun phrase, consisting of the article a and the noun while (which means “a period or interval of time”). The one-word awhile is an adverb that means “for a short time or period.”

...
that does not clarify a single thing

message 183: by Rosie (new)

Rosie My glasses (the right one) are smudged. Ah, now I have to get up to find the fabric glass wiper.
Wow. That sounded utterly lazy.

message 184: by Rosie (new)

Rosie 10:01 PM. Hm. I should sleep.
I'm making a compromise with myself: Once whoever is watching TV in the living room (presumably my dad and brother) stops watching TV, I'll turn off my lights and try to sleep.

message 185: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Today, I borrowed a drawing book from my grandma, so I'm going to try to draw from that now. I really need to work on drawing faces from different perspectives. Whenever I do, the eyeballs look wack.

message 186: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Also, right now I have All Time Low by Jon Bellion stuck in my head. It's so catchy, but I don't really like the lyrics.

message 187: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Wow, I've written 226 posts. That doesn't really compare to the people who've written thousands, though. xD

message 188: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I shall listen to Christmas music and draw now.

message 189: by Rosie (new)

Rosie (The song: Here comes Santa Claus)

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus, right down Santa Claus Lane
He's got a bag that's filled with toys for boys and girls again
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle, oh what a beautiful sight
So jump in bed and cover your head, 'cause Santa Claus comes tonight

What about all the non binary folks? Well, I suppose this is an old song, but stillllll

message 190: by Rosie (new)

Rosie (I broke my compromise of going to bed once the TV watchers stopped TV watching. It's 10:40 PM and I've been drawing for a while.) (Or awhile.)

message 191: by Rosie (new)

Rosie One of my good friends who moved far away hasn't responded to my emails for 17 days. That's not too long, but I miss her. I wonder if anything happened, or she just doesn't really like me anymore. : ( (It's been a couple years since she moved, and I have only seen her through a couple skypes.)

message 192: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I wish Pentatonix hadn't disbanded. (I think they did a couple years ago.) They were all super amazing. (In case you don't know, they were a capella group.)

message 193: by Rosie (new)

Rosie *cappella, not capella

message 194: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I wish I was ambidextrous. I'm going to try writing with my left hand more often and see if, after a long time, I'll be able to write reasonably well with both hands.

message 195: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Wow. I'm so sore from Monday and Wednesday that it literally hurts for me to bend and unbend my knees.

Right now I'm sitting on my bed, staring at the time, listening to Christmas music.

I really should go to sleep.

message 196: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I finally went to sleep at 11:39 PM, and I woke up at 9:31 AM. Coincidentally, that's when I woke up yesterday. If this happens again tomorrow, I'm going to be a little weirded out. Now that I think about it, it's probably some sleep schedule habit thing with a fancy name.

message 197: by Rosie (new)

Rosie I started reading one of the books my grandma gave me for my Little Free Library, and it's horrifying, but good. So far. The book is called Find Her by Lisa Gardner.

message 198: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Hullo! I'm doing well. In a couple hours, my family is leaving to see Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. I just ate brunch (cereal, a banana, and salami), and now I'm laying on my bed wearing pajamas. I'm pretty content.

message 199: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Emily wrote: "random cauliflower broccoli banana spinach wrote: "I started reading one of the books my grandma gave me for my Little Free Library, and it's horrifying, but good. So far. The book is called Find H..."

Hmm. Well, yes. The main character has been abducted multiple times, and overall, well, she has a horrible life. I'll copy down the synopsis (or whatever the thing on the back is called.):

Flora Dane is a victim.
Seven years ago, carefree college student Flora was kidnapped while on spring break. For 472 days, Flora learned just how much one person can endure.

Flora Dane is a survivor.
Miraculously alive after her ordeal, Flora has spent the past five years reacquainting herself with the rhythms of normal life, working with her FBI victim advocate, Samuel Keynes. She has a mother who's never stopped loving her, a brother who is scared of the person she's become, and a bedroom wall covered with photos of other girls who've never made it home.

Flora Dane is reckless.
...or is she? When Boston detective D.D. Warren is called to the scene of a crime-a dead man and the bound, naked woman who killed him- she learns that Flora has tangled with three other suspects since her return to society. Is Flora a victim or a vigilante? And with her firsthand knowledge of criminal behavior, could she hold the key to rescuing a missing college student whose abduction has rocked Boston? When Flora herself disappears, D.D. realizes a far more sinister predator is out there. One who's determined that this time, Flora Dane will never escape. And now it is all up to D.D. Warren to find her.

Rosie Emily wrote: "oh isn't Johnny Depp in that? if you didn't know, I'm obsessed with him!"

Maybe. I don't know, but he is really awesome. I loved how he played Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of The Caribbean. Actually, I'll search that. If he is in the movie, I would like to know who he plays.
Oh my gosh. He plays Grindelwald, and apparently there's some controversy surrounding whether or not he should have played that role. Interesting.
